  • "Just returned from a brilliant three night stay at Ty Bach Twt."

Owner was extremely helpful when we arrived late on Friday night in assisting us with getting into the property and sorting a cot for my baby daughter (mis-communication on the Sykes side). Property is very well located and fantastic base for our adventures in North Wales. Children loved the cottage - son had to be dragged away from his bed on the mezzanine floor (he thought it was great fun going up the ladder and quickly set up camp up there!) and the hot tub was a big hit with us all - clean and well maintained. Property was easy to find with all necessary home comforts, clean and peaceful and in a beautiful part of the countryside. We had no issues at all with any ‘visitors’ to the garden as reported in previous reviews and no sightings! Our dog was very comfortable also in the property and safe, enclosed garden. All in all it was a perfect short break for us and we were sad to leave as there was so much to see and do in this part of the world. We could easily have stayed there for longer. Thank you for a wonderful stay - many happy memories made for our young family.

  • "I would never return to this property ever again AVOID unless you want to be frauded out of money."

I was charged £85 for dog mess that my dog apparently left which was definitely not there. (Definitely let there dog out as it’s there back garden) When we got there there was a massive tractor blocking the drive which stunk of sewage due to sewage leak, there was tractors and people making loads of noise during our stay so sitting in the hot tub was not pleasant. The hot tub had bits in and stunk after a day. This is in the back of there garden which they watch you out there window which is disgusting and makes you feel uncomfortable. They took photos of our towels on there fences and hot tub whilst we was still on holiday - Invading our privacy. There is no where to hang your towels and as there is a hot tub you need somewhere to dry them off, there is no where inside to do this hence why we put on fences. There was also rats in the garden which kept coming in front of the door and almost got in the house. this has been noted on previous reviews where they claimed to “get pest control” - This was a load of rubbish as Rats were still in sight. The owners offered to pay a meal at pub which seemed a nice gesture at time , but I’m guessing they thought it was too generous and decided to claim the funds back by letting there dog in there garden to poo. Our dog was out everyday, and photos of roughly 10 poos was sent over to Sykes cottage - there is no way our dog would of even done that many as we was out all day, as well as ones we cleaned up. If you go here make sure you take photos afterwards as they will try to fraud you out of more money !! There dog was also tied up at side of house which we could see the dog and could hear him barking most the holiday. Me and my family will not be returning.

  • "Cottage very nice, but no signage name made it difficult to find cottage missing a few things, nowhere at all to hang or put clothes, no towel rail, small sink over toilet not ideal as too compact, no baking trays, scissors, no light switch upstairs, had to go and put lamp on upstairs before turning lights off."

Dirty socks in sofa bed. no instructions for hot tub, which wasn't very clean, not very private as the back of the other house was straight into garden, but our main concern was the issue with RATS, as in our stay we saw at least 6 rats in the garden, one even got into the cottage which we managed to get out, but meant we couldn't leave the door open, we did have our dog with us which meant we were watching all the time in case the dog got bitten, we do realise it's in the country but that wasn't acceptable, we did contact owner but no response, very disappointed...

I am so sorry to read about such an awful experience. The only time you contacted me though was when you were struggling to enter the electric gates on arrival? I not only sent you the code again but sent you another contact number to call if you were still struggling, as I was in work at your time of arrival. Thank you for bringing the cleaning issues to my attention, I have since reinstated a new cleaner. Due to my work commitments, I am unable to tend to the Tiny House myself. There should be no further issues there, thank you and my sincere apologies. I usually check over it before each guests but had been away the time leading up to your stay unfortunately that week. With regards to any rats - I was in my home just next door for most of the Saturday and Sunday of your stay and I would have hoped you'd have knocked our door at what might have been one of the most frightening experiences! Agreed, we live in the country and this is why there is a resident Jack Russell puppy on site but this is no way acceptable. Again, if I was on holiday where I knew the property owners were next door, I would have banged on their door for urgent assistance. I am only sorry you felt you couldn't and I have taken this situation extremely seriously where I have instructed a pest control company to investigate. Lastly, in regards to the hot tub - I have instructed the new cleaning company to ensure the hot tub is spotlessly clean. I usually look after the hot tub myself to ensure of this but had been away during the week leading up to your stay. I will update the kitchen utensils also, I have found over recent times that guests take things with them and forget to return such items. I will create a check-list for cleaning staff to ensure all holiday makers have exactly what they need for a comfortable stay. With regards to the light-switch, I had considered this during installation but it was unfortunately not a possibility, hence the reason for the lamps. I will provide a torch for future bookings, this may also add to the fun of tiny house living. Again, I am sorry you had such a horrific stay but to us; it sounded like you had fun, especially in the hot tub. Property Owner

  • "We have just got back from a wonderful stay at Ty Bach Twt."

It’s in a great location to explore all around Anglesey yet very peaceful and quiet. It was exactly like described and lovely and clean when we arrived. Everything we could have needed was provided (linen, towels, cleaning products) including tea and coffee making facilities and everything we needed to light the wood burning stove. The evenings were so cosy and perfect to unwind after a busy day. The hot tub was a lovely bonus too. Parking is secure inside electric gates and the lawn/patio area is enclosed and very safe for four legged friends. The owners were extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. They were extremely accommodating for our nervous/reactive dog. We will definitely look to stay here again. Many thanks ☺️

Great little get away with the dog, with pet friendly hosts and surrounding areas. The pub at the end of the road has a dog friendly area and does fantastic food!
