"We were very happy with the property but perspex windows in conservatory need changing as they are not very clear."
-
"The cottage was pretty central to all the tourist locations."
The road up to the cottage (approx. 1 mile) was a single track road but not too bad. Mr Mrs Ellis were on hand with any query's we had. A lovely place to stay for touring north Wales.

"Had a nice week at this cottage."
Very comfortable bed and sofa. The weather was not fantastic for August but if you worry about the weather you wouldn't go anywhere. Good central base to reach a lot of the surrounding areas. Nice walking area. Step's down to doggy garden steep and slippy in the rain. Overall lovely place to stay.
-
"Very friendly and helpful owners."
The cottage was clean and tidy. Plenty of walks on the door step.
-
"No hot water for 6 days, very small fences to garden allowing dog to escape."
-

"A fab little cottage in an excellent location."
Very cosy. It had all the main things we wanted. The kitchen was great, although small. Lovely that the owner left us milk and fruit, as well as washing up liquid and cloths. If we had stayed longer than a week a washing machine would have been useful, however it probably wouldn't fit in the kitchen. Lovely new shower room. The conservatory was a nice place to eat meals, although the perspex was slightly opaque. I suppose that kept it cooler in hot weather. Our old dog struggled with the steep steps into the garden, but it so so peaceful sitting there, we loved it. Some parts of the garden were looking rather tired and needed some maintenance .The road leading to the property wasn't good, very narrow in places and an uneven surface, but our car was fine as we just took it very slowly. Overall we loved it and would definitely return.

Perfect enclosed garden for the dogs. Thanks for having us.
-
"Lovely clean cottage."
Owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Situated close to lots of places. Only negative is garden is not suitable for disabled which didn't affect us. Dogs are also welcome.

"Cottage is in a fantastic location, it is small but comfortable, nicely decorated and cosy inside with all amenities except washing machine & drier, but the owner explained and did our washing as staying at cottage for 2 weeks."
Lovely cottage if you have dogs, as enclosed garden and walks up the hills straight from the cottage.

"The cottage is beautiful, warm and cosy, the dogs loved the secure safe garden for their and our sole use."
Mr and Mrs Ellis were very warm and friendly. The weather wasn't kind to us, but apart from one day we managed to get at least 2 hours out walking the boys. Lovely romantic retreat, for getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Would definitely recommend.

"The quiet. The local dog walks."
The facilities were better than expected. Didn't use the garden (too chilly for me) but it would be lovely in summer

"Lovely quiet break."
We & our two small dogs fitted right in. Several walks, right from the front door, which suited us fine. A great base for exploring the area. We even managed a day trip to & around Anglesey.

"Very handy location for most of north western Wales attractions/towns."
A bit more precise distance from the A5 would be helpful 'A Country Mile!' The owners were friendly and unobtrusive, but available if needed. Very secure garden for dogs with local paths available from right outside the door. Very comfortable cottage for a couple/very good friends!.

"Very cosy and well equipped cottage in beautiful Snowdonia, very central for many attractions Zip world was fun."
There's a dog proof garden and just along the lane a hiking route which made nice walks for the dogs every morning. the owners are very friendly and welcoming, we hope to go back next year.

"Lovely place to stay very quiet surroundings."
..friendly host...lots of places within easy reach. One downside...the conservatory is a wasted room this time of year because the heater is not sufficient enough...so this room was permanently freezing...which was a shame..would have loved to have been able to sit and watch views from in there.

"The cottage is in a very good location for walking, both from the cottage and in the surrounding area."
It is well placed for visiting Bangor, Caernarfon and Northern Snowdonia. It has lovely views. It is a good place to take a dog.

"I was a bit sceptical about booking this holiday cottage in this area, however to my amazement there is a lot to see and do you will not be disappointed."
It became a excellent choice and we really enjoyed our time together in North Wales.
-
"Easily found and ideally situated with easy access to areas of interest."
Location up a country lane and great for dog walking. The owners, who lived next to the property, were a very friendly and helpful couple.

"We were disappointed with the accommodation,it had been very neglected and cleaning not at a good standard especially the kitchen which my husband spent a good hour cleaning!"
We could have complained at the time but didn't want to cause a scene as the owners seemed genuine and really nice people. Moyra did actually give the impression that it was too much and was thinking of cutting back on the rentals. We couldn't understand all the positive feedbacks in the guest book, they were obviously seeing something different to us! We have been self catering for well over 20years in various areas and properties so we do know there are sometimes difficulties. We have decided that in the future we'll be sticking with what we know, there are 2 properties we go to on a regular basis.

"Great cottage, well equipped in a great location with great hosts."
So much to do, from beaches, to places to visit, or a walk / run into the Llanberis range. Nothing beats Wales, just the finest place on earth. Cymru am byth!

About the location
PENTIR
Llanberis 4 miles; Bangor 4 miles.
Pentir is a scattered hamlet with an excellent pub, situated on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park between the famous town of Llanberis and the University City of Bangor. Llanberis has excellent places to eat and drink, fabulous shopping, and is dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif. It is renowned as something of a 'mecca' for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon, the highest mountain in England and Wales. The ascent can be made either by the Snowdonia Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Just 7 miles from Llanberis, on the coast, is Caernarfon with its magnificent castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn and Plas Newydd. With Anglesey and all of the North Wales coastline within easy reach, this is an excellent holiday location.
