  • "Can’t fault this lovely barn conversion."

The location is idyllic. We had to drive through a field of sheep to get to the accommodation! No problem doing this as there is a proper track to drive along. There is a big garden with gorgeous views over Snowden. The accommodation itself is stylish and comfortable. It was unseasonably chilly so we appreciated the central heating was on! We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this place. The owner is lovely too!

  • "Super nice house, but dirty Floor not vacuumed, let alone cleaned - crumbs, dog hair and grass to be found Some of the dishes were dirty - there was still some sauce left on one plate Crumbs from bread on the table and countertop The glasses were milky Good thing we brought a big blanket."

At least we could cover the sofa before sitting on it. I don't even want to imagine all the places the dog was lying on before. Nothing against sheep, but driving across a sheep pasture every day that is completely covered in shit = no fun. Since you always had to open and close two gates, it became more difficult every day to find open spaces without sheep droppings - let alone clean your shoes.

Park, Anglesey & all the other lovely beaches of the North Wales coast. The cottages itself was super with everything you could need & most importantly a properly secured & enclosed dog friendly space which was a real bonus with stunning views. The only very slight negative point was that the sofa wasn't overly comfortable but that is often the case when sitting on a sofa bed. Everything else was just perfect for a couple & their four legged companion. Thank you

  • "We had a wonderful week away in this cosy cottage."

Perfect location in beautiful surroundings and the location is perfect for exploring Snowdonia. The cottage was well equipped for self catering and nicely decorated. On arrival we met Maureen the lovely owner. She left some fresh cut flowers, a bottle of wine and some milk which was nice. I personally found the mattress very soft and the pillows were quite lumpy. But still slept reasonably well. Overall we had a fabulous stay and thoroughly enjoyed the cottage and surrounding. Great for the dogs who had plenty of treats and toys to play with in the large garden. We would stay again! Thank you Maureen!

Thank you very much for your helpful comments we are glad you enjoyed your stay and the surroundings. We have now replaced the mattress for a newer one that isn't as soft. We hope to see you again! Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage and well equipped for self catering with a good selection of glasses crockery and cooking utensils."

The oven instructions would have been helpful. Great location and lovely to have milk tea and coffee and a bottle of wine arrival. Fresh flowers on the table were a lovely touch too. Some of the light bulbs did not work and the tv remote didn’t work either. The garden furniture needed cleaning as covered in moss lichen and bird mess but there was an outside tap for this. Useful local info was available. It was very hot so a fan would have helped with a bit of airflow. Bed is a good size but mattress very soft and not comfortable if you need more support.

  • "Overall Feedback: We had a lovely stay at Beudy Hywel."

It's a beautiful cottage in the perfect location to explore. We were greeted with a warm welcome from the owner, who recommended her favourite places to visit and kindly left us fresh flowers, a bottle of wine and some milk in the fridge. We loved driving/walking through the field and watching the wild rabbits have fun in the garden. The views from the cottage are stunning. Considerations: For anyone with a bad back, I personally didn't find the sofa or the main bed very comfy, but with lots of cushions it was manageable for a short stay. There isn't a washer/dryer at the property. After experiencing the unpredictable Welsh weather, in hindsight we would have benefited from one - especially travelling with a toddler after trips to the seaside, or outings in the rain.

The cottage is just as seen in the photos and a great location to explore Snowdonia. Recommend Zipworld for kids and we went to the theatre in Llundudno which was something different and a very good production. and the cottage is close to all the other Snowdonia villages and beaches that we enjoyed as well. • "The owner Maureen is lovely and welcoming."

The property has lovely views looking out towards the Snowdonia mountains from the large paddock adjacent to the walled garden. The garden and paddock is fenced off, where dogs can roam free, but need to be on a lead outside the farm gate where the sheep are. Between the gates the gravelled track is a sharp incline and quite a walk. The property is very warm and has good heating and hot water. The bath doesn't have handrails so my hubby had to opt for the shower. The 2 toilets are a bonus, the induction hob takes some getting used to as we had never used one but instruction books are left underneath. I felt it could have done with a bigger fridge, we couldn't fit everything in and it was low down. It feels remote but you soon get out in a couple of minutes onto the A4086 4 miles to Caernarfon where there are plenty of supermarkets etc I would recommend this property and would stay again but for the 8hr journey it took us.

So very quiet and peaceful, a pretty garden and bbq area, with views of the mountains, gorgeous! The cottage itself certainly had the 'wow factor', well equipped and furnished, comfortable bed and lovely shower, everything you could need for a holiday away from it all. The property

Llanrug 1 mile.

A delightful, detached barn conversion, set in its own 1/2 acre of rough paddock, on a secluded part of the owners' land on their sheep farm, one mile from the village of Llanrug, on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park in scenic North Wales.

This charming single-storey Llanrug cottage has been superbly renovated to offer light, airy and spacious accommodation, with an entrance hall that leads to an open plan living area with fully fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area.

The living area boasts a galleried ceiling, revealing exposed oak beams, plus an inglenook fireplace houses a remote controlled feature fire, and there is the added bonus of a corner sofa, which converts into a double bed.

A door leads through into a small dressing room and then into the king-size double bedroom with stylish en-suite bathroom.

Outside this Snowdonia cottage is a pleasant patio and lawned garden, which has a 'canal' water feature and provides an ideal place for enjoying a meal or cold drink on a sunny evening.

Herb and rockery gardens are also in the grounds, and guests have access to a paddock area where elevated views towards Snowdon Mountain can be seen.

This Llanrug cottage is approached via a private gravel track across sheep fields, which gives it a great feeling of isolation, however, you're only a 5-minute walk from the local village pub.

An outstanding Snowdonia cottage surrounded by countryside walks, ideal for romantic getaways or activity weekends whenever you wish.

About the location

LLANRUG

Llanberis 2 miles; Caernarfon 4 miles; Betws-y-Coed 15 miles.

Llanrug is a small village with two pubs, two shops, a Post Office, a hotel with indoor swimming pool and fitness room, and a 9 hole golf course is nearby. The village is situated in the foothills of the Snowdonia Mountain Range, only 3 miles from famous Llanberis. Dominated by the grandeur of the Snowdon Massif, Llanberis is flanked by two lakes, Llyn Padarn and Llyn Peris, and is one of the most popular mountain tourist centres in the Snowdonia National Park. Llanberis is something of a 'mecca' for walkers and climbers, being the starting point for the ascent of Snowdon - the highest mountain in Wales. The ascent can be made either by train, on the Snowdonia Mountain Railway, or on foot along one of the many routes to the summit. Llanberis boasts excellent places to eat and drink and a great choice of shopping. Just 4 miles from Llanrug, on the coast, is Caernarfon with its magnificent 13th century castle and town walls and close by are National Trust properties at Penrhyn and Plas Newydd and many wonderful beaches.
