  • "Enjoyed a lovely holiday at Ty Piws."

Very comfortable lounge and beds. Had a couple of issues which were dealt with quickly.

  • "We have stayed at Tyn Towyn for about eight years now and always have a fabulous time, however this time we were disappointed mainly due to the owners Haydn and David I think they are called."

They were very unfriendly and seemed to say No to everything we did. We needed to charge our electric car for a couple of hours - that was a no then Haydn told my children (who we’re playing very sensibly) that they couldn’t play with a football on the grass - they we’re practicing their skills! We were also extremely alarmed to find our children (14 & 12 years) being chased in 2 separate cars by the owners who were driving dangerously and erratically around both the cottages and caravan site because apparently the children (there were about 8 in the group all from either the cottages or caravan site) had caused a disturbance - this was around 9.30pm in the evening. When I asked the owners to stop chasing children around he told me vehemently that he could do what he wanted as he owned all the land. I was appalled by this behaviour. Disappointingly we will be reviewing our return here!

Plenty of parking and a few minutes walk to the village. Had to call on the caretaker who came very quickly to unstick the windows in a bedroom. We will definitely book this cottage again.

The cottages are well appointed and well cared for. The welcome pack is a thoughtful addition. Tyn Towyn is in a beautiful setting with delightful grounds. We love the stillness. The wonderful beach, several eateries and general stores are within walking distance of the site. The owner and staff have ensured our comfort on each occasion. Thank you.

Place was comfortable and welcoming. The fact that the weather was superb made it a glorious week. Would love to come back and would recommend it to others. Loved the peace and quiet and the lovely sitting area. The men working around the property... getting it ready and watering all the plants were all so friendly which added to our enjoyment... well done, lovely place

  • "House freezing when we arrived ( it had been snowing)!"

Beds were like ice boxes to get into & took 2 days to air. Radiators on low. Information in house book said not to touch the radiator controls but to use the overall dial in the hall. There isn't 1. Apparently the information is wrong for that cottage. We found this out by phoning the caretaker. It took at least first 2 days to get the house anywhere near comfortably warm. We have been twice before & liked it. The maintenance & cleaning isn't kept up with because it's company owned along with the rest of the complex ? ( by Sykes?) & so noone seems to take personal care of the place. It appears the cottages have been in little use over the winter. People still turn up outside in cars & let their dogs out to foul the adjacent grass area. Information is incorrect about no under 14' s. Children are there.Having said all of that, the house has got all the basic ingredients of a good base for treaddur bay.

Clean comfortable and extremely well-equipped. Some of in-cottage instructions need updating: No key for communal room, no thermostat for radiators, no guest book. Excellent wifi. We had a lovely stay here, and really enjoyed visiting the area. Thank you for the prosecco, milk and Welsh cakes!

Ty Piws has everything needed for a relaxing much needed getaway; the welcome pack items a pleasing added extra. There is a high standard of cleanliness; a much appreciated factor as the pandemic continues. Thank you Ty Towyn team for accommodating my particular initial request. Our second time at Ty Towyn. We will be back.

Met some of the delightful, helpful team from the cleaning company. They certainly take pride in the quality of their work. The only aspect we couldn't figure out , is that the downstairs radiators never came on but we had nice weather so it wasn't an issue. I know we could contacted the caretaker if needed.
