"Unfortunately my wife was taken ill the day before the departure date so we had to leave early."
But I do think the departure time of 9 o'clock is far to early and needs to be reviewed, it detracts from a lovely stay.

"Once again (no6) spent a week at the cabbage patch it is perfect get away idea base for exploring what is a beautiful part of the country, plenty of walks from the door step, cottage has all the facilities you could need for a comfortable and peace full time."
Thank You.

"We would loved to have said we would return to this property but serious work needs to be done to the bathroom, there needs to be better ventilation to address the black mould on the ceiling and skirting board, toilet is loose (not the seat but the actual basin) also the shower dial is damaged and extremely difficult to turn and and off."
The book mentioned the shower had a drip but it is far worse than this, the shower continues for about five minutes once shut off. We were left with only one set of towels, i messaged Skyes and they said some would be delivered Thursday but these never appeared. We were also only left with one and half toilet rolls. We were told the garden was secure which it was but the gate is not suitable if you have a small dog. We tried our best to get the sky working but was unsuccessful even though we are quite tech savvy. The wifi details in the welcome pack don't work, you need to use the details on the back of the bt box. Also the instructions for the fireplace in the welcome pack don't appear to match the log burner in the property. I tried calling Skyes before our holiday as i had a few questions but after being on hold for about five minutes i finally got through to someone who was only interested in making sure i had made payments, i was put on hold again and after twenty minutes finally gave up.

"A really lovely quant little cottage steeped in history, spotlessly clean with all the amenities, I appreciated the carpeting throughout or should I say my dog did, he's not good on non carpeted floors, the garden was completely secure, another big tick if you have a dog, in the garden is a two seater bench with a small table in the middle, one suggestion would be a table and chairs for eating but by no means did it spoil the holiday Right in the centre if Rhoscolyn hamlet with the most beautiful walks and glorious beaches, the White Eagle pub is a walk away, they welcome dogs, in fact the dogs get a bowl of water and treats before you're served, the food is superb."
Definitely 5 stars for this cottage and its location.

"We enjoyed our stay, the location is great for a quiet peaceful break."
Some mention in reviews of nocturnal noises, it's not mice but twigs from trees too close to the windows. I'd definitely recommend investing in a decent mattress and new chair and sofa. Not only do the existing ones look shabby, they are rather uncomfortable. The main picture in the listing is not Cabbage Patch but part of the neighbouring property. I mention this because it gives the impression of lots of light in the apartment. This is so for the lounge but there is very little natural light in the bedroom. Great if you like a pitch black bedroom but if you're claustrophobic like me and a light sleeper it's a bit of a problem. On the plus side, it was immaculately clean, full of character and the secure garden was an added bonus.

"Wonderful small cottage, perfect for a break for a few days."
The coast path is almost on your doorstep, along with a lovely quiet beach, and a really nice pub (the food in the pub is quite expensive though). The open fire is a nice addition - very cosy, and easy to maintain. We read a reviewer mention mice - there are none - it's the sound of pipes expanding and contracting in the roof. Would recommend to anybody looking to get away for a few days :)
-
"Very pleasant stay ."
Cottage was perfect for the two of us. My only very tiny issue was the settee and chair not very comfortable after a long day of walking.
-
"Have stayed in the cabbage patch before about 7 years ago and love the location."
.. No problems with the accommodation ... However having a light cream coloured carpet in the main area was a challenge with the weather and a wet dog. Maybe flag stones and a rug with be better with the elements ... This is a suggestion :) and we would stay again

"Very disappointing."
The property is in a fantastic location with breathtaking views and the kitchen area and bathroom were clean, but the property desperately needs some attention and care. Lots of dust and cobwebs and general wear & tear/tired etc. We could have got over all this, however, the WORST thing for us though were the mice! They kept us awake all night in the bedroom roof space. It was so loud and very off putting, to the point we left a day early. Despite 2 nights of literally no sleep! Apparently the pest controller found no evidence of rodents inside or outside the property. We can assure you there is definitely a significant issue in the roof space, so only book here if that won’t bother you. For me though, the property shouldn’t be rented out to paying guests with issues like this and they should listen to customer feedback, not dismiss it as unimportant or lies! I completely understand the property is old and in the countryside and there will be mouse issues at times, but this should be dealt with to avoid customer complaints. Also strange they claim there’s no mouse issue but the property has ultrasonic vermin repellers plugged in both rooms (which I know from experience don’t work effectively anyway!) I definitely wouldn’t book again now due to the way our complaint was handled.
Thank you for sharing your feedback following your recent stay at the Cabbage Patch. We appreciate your acknowledgement of the cleanliness of the kitchen and bathroom along with the location and views. Rest assured we take all comments seriously and aim to support guests pre, during and post stay if any concerns arise. All guest feedback serves as a valuable tool when ensuring property standards are at a high and guests have the best experience when away. We encourage guests to raise any concerns during their stay which allows ourselves or the owner to react and resolve the matter accordingly. Unfortunately, we couldn’t react to the matter due to no contact during your stay and the issues were not raised when we contacted you following your first night at the property. We also encourage guests to submit evidence when issues arise such as images and videos so we can really investigate the issue. This is very unusual for this property as it has never been mentioned previous which made the matter even more important to investigate. Following you raising the feedback after your stay we instructed an experienced pest control supplier who carried out an inspection. Following the thorough inspection, we consider no further action to be taken as there was no evidence of mice being present. We will of course continue to monitor customer feedback in line with our processes as this is always at the forefront of our minds. It is important to stress that due to the property location it is not unusual for properties to have these in as a safety net in case such matters arise. Also, it is pre-empting and reducing the risk of this happening in the future. The Menai Team Property Owner

"Cottage was cosy and quaint."
Stocked with all that was needed. Good base for walking and visiting island. Appreciated big fluffy bath towels and lots of hot water. Would book again.
-
"I have visited the cabbage patch now 5 years in a row, so that tells you something, perfect place for a peaceful getaway, location is perfect with regard to access to the coast path and beaches, yes i agree with some other comments about the place needing a bit of TLC with regard to the decorations, but if you take in to consideration the cost of staying i think it is good value for money hopefully if the Welsh Government don't try to tax us tourist to much will be going back next year."
-
"Been coming to the Cabbage patch for several years now and although we love its location, it is beginning to look a bit shabby - the shelves in the door of the fridge all broken for instance."
Also since the letting has been taken over by Menai it all feels a bit bossy and impersonal - having to be out by 9.00 a.m. on the morning of departure rather early - most places it's 10.00 and didn't welcome an email, towards the end of our stay detailing how we should clean up - we'd already read all that in the instructions to visitors.
-
"Lovely property, we did find mattress a little too soft but was comfortable."
Bathroom really nice, but taps on sink need looking at, as you needed to turn them off tightly to stop the dripping. Cabbage patch would do with some tlc Garden was pleasant. Fully appreciate the cleaner need to get in to do their job, but to have to leave by 9am is a little annoying.
-
"It is in a good location for walking the coast path, Rhoscolyn beach and has lovely views from the living room."
The living room gets the early morning sun and then neither the cottage or the garden gets the sun which is OK if you want shade and cool. The adjoining larger property could influence your enjoyment. We didn't have particularly noisy neighbours but the room they used for the evening seemed to be near to the bedroom and we kept different hours.
-
"Cottage was very clean and comfortable."
This is our 4th stay here. The only downside was that the garden furniture only had one chair. Lovely location. Hope to return
-
"Lovely location, clean and tidy, plenty of space for two people and a dog."
Will defiantly return in the future
-
"Lovely quaint cottage, great location and history, suited our needs perfectly, Phil, Linda and Oscar the chihuahua."
-
"Very quirky cottage."
Lovely and clean. Ideal location to fab beaches. Waking distance to really good pubs for meals Lovely welcome pack on arrival
-
"Pros. Great views, lovely walks for us and our pup."
Cottage felt very warm and cosy. The Agents were very quick to sort out the issues we had in the garden and to sort the wi-fi. Cons. Flies. Lots of them. Dog poo's left in garden on arrival. Mattress seriously uncomfortable. Furniture tired and uncomfortable. Ck-in and out times need to be addressed - COVID is over! Would we stay again if the changes were made. Maybe..
-
"Overall a lovely property."
Location great.Garden for my four legged friend great.Mattress on bed definitely needs replacing.Flys were an issue for the first couple of days. Also scratching in the roof space at night did disturb sleep. But all said and done I would definitely return to this property.
-
"This is our 2nd visit to Cabbage Patch."
Its cosy, homely and perfect for two (plus our dog). A great location for exploring the surrounding area. We will be returning for another visit.
-
"Fourth visit to the Patch so that tells you something, the location is perfect if you are looking for somewhere peaceful with access to plenty of walks from the door step, also not far from any where on Holy Island, read a few negative reviews which i think are a bit harsh the Patch is what it is a unique cottage in a great place, new cooker and hob fitted since my visit last year and the garden had been tided up, so some of the valid criticisms have been addressed, will be returning for visit number five."
-
"Pictures did not show entranceway, access to door very disappointing."
Garden hedge overgrown so view not possible. Fridge not turned on but milk left in it. Visitor pack falling apart no visitors book. General feeling of property being unloved. Dusted areas clearly visible against areas not touched. Did not appreciate the constant reminder of 'things to do before you leave' Felt Cabbage Patch was an afterthought to the other properties.
-
"I was looking forward to staying at Cabbage Patch, having stayed at the adjacent property Plas Bach."
However I was really disappointed. Just 2 rooms, the bedroom lacking natural light. The garden would have had lovely views had the hedges been cut, and it would have been peaceful if the neighbouring large house, visible through the fence so no privacy, had not made constant noise every day. The cooker hardly heated anything and there were no instructions lt was a pokey little hole. Not worth the money, Get your act together Rhoscolyn Estate it lets the side down.
-
"A beautiful cottage in a lovely setting, based on the coast path away from the road."
The only thing I have to say that is negative is that it was such a shame that the beautiful arched windows in the bedroom were boarded up, which made the bedroom very very dark. I assume it is for privacy, but blinds or net curtains could be used. It was such a shame, because they are a stunning feature, they would have let in the morning sunshine, and made the bedroom beautifully bright. But the lamps had to always be on.
-
"The property is quaint and in a lovely location"
-
"The photos on the website don’t do it justice."
When we walked in we both were amazed with everything. Everything was so well presented, comfortable and clean. We had everything we needed. Don’t go there if you want to go nightclubbing.. but if you do want to relax, walk, enjoy the views, the fantastic nature around, and explore Anglesey. A total ‘get away’ from the frantic world. The White Eagle is a must( we booked beforehand) We’d definitely book this cottage again.. it ticked all the boxes As has been said.. the 9am booking out time is a shame.. however, as we left the lady who services the sites had arrived, so it appears it’s needed
-
"A thoroughly enjoyable 3 night stay in Rhoscolyn."
Great location, lovely views and everything we needed. The arrival-6pm and departure time -9am perhaps cut into our time more than we liked, but otherwise Cabbage Patch was a peach.
-
"Lovely little cottage, ideal for 2 , lots of walking and views from cottage."
bed a little too soft
-
"We had a really lovely stay - this was perfect for us and our dog, the property was just the right size and really cosy by the fire on a night."
We absolutely loved being able to walk down to the beach, it was so peaceful and so lovely to have a few different bays to visit. The cottage had incredible views to the sea - we could sit on a morning with a cup of tea outside and look across the beach. The only constructive feedback we’d give would be the check in and out times, 6pm and 9am, whilst we did ask to check in earlier and the owners kindly agreed, we think these should be altered to match other properties and allow people to have more of a full weekend. Using what3words for the location would also have helped us find the property. All in all a really lovely stay and we’d love to come back!
-
"We found the property easy to get to ,clean and well maintained, the bed needs a new mattress as we found it too soft not giving us a good sleep ."
Also lacking was a hover which would help both tenant and cleaner keeping the place tidy reducing the time spent on the turnaround so people can come in earlier and depart later .
-
"Just love this quirky little cottage, so cosy with the woodburner on stormy nights, no thanks to eunice, franklyn and Gladys."
Very well equipped. Extremely comfy bed. A fence panel had blown down, but was repaired very quickly after a phone call. Could have done with a little more info on rubbish recycling as to what day and what goes where.. We thoroughly enjoyed our break and look forward to returning in the near future. Thankyou
-
"The mattress was very uncomfortable and security light at the front didn’t work."
-
"Lovely stay at cabbage patch cottage , we booked plas next door as well due to ..."
Lovely stay at cabbage patch cottage , we booked plas next door as well due to it being a larger family celebration, worked really well with interconnecting door , would definitely stay again, well equipped kitchen area and ideal outside space for the dog
-
"We had a lovely time at Cabbage Patch."
A very clean, cosy and well presented property in a superb location. We can't wait to return.
-
"The living area was dark dismal and cold the overgrown trees next door blocked ..."
The living area was dark dismal and cold the overgrown trees next door blocked any sunlight the large windows overlooking garden were covered in cobwebs and the view was obscured due to overgrown hedges the lawn was long and was only strimmed not mowed The small table and chairs outside were rusty The whole cottage needed some TLC The cupboard in the bedroom was opened and we could hear everything next door were saying or doing I had to repair the outside drain pipe which had fallen to the ground
-
"Spotlessly clean cottage, apprehensive regarding size of property but loved everything about its quirkiness, great walks from property seals swimming in small Rhoscolyn cove an added bonus, would recommend staying at Cabbage Patch."
-
"We had a fantastic time and the Cabbage Patch was absolutely perfect for a cosy two person get away!"
Well equipped, beautifully renovated and perfect location - I highly recommend and would go again!
-
"A great little cottage in an excellent location."
Would strongly recommend!
-
"Cabbage patch is a beautiful cosy cottage ."
In a perfect location for walking or just relaxing
-
"It was a lovely break and we loved the space."
We were a bit apprehensive going away since Covid and we were so impressed with the cleanliness of the property. We were welcomed with fantastic welsh snacks and tea and coffee. Our dog was well looked after with the little garden space. A cosy and lovely stay next to the sea!
-
"Everything."
Dirty, shabby, tatty, unkempt. I have sent an email to yourselves, as usual an automated response, not good enough. Health and hygiene should have been a priority, disgusting. In view of the current situation regarding coronavirus we have been compromised and will not recommend you to anyone. If this is what you have to offer for £750 a week, totally unacceptable.
I understand that some items required maintenance upon your arrival and I am pleased that we were able to resolve these for you. Unfortunately no cleaning concerns had been raised at the time. Cabbage Patch is a very unique property which we understand is not to everyone's taste. Property Owner
-
"Absolutely fantastic week in the Cabbage Patch!"
The property is located ideally for a short walk up to the coastguard station and Rhoscolyn Bay, and longer walks to Trearddur and South Stack along the coast. Cabbage Patch offers that perfect balance of cosy comfort, with a log burner good to go and all the equipment needed to light, as well as a lovely view and great little garden to enjoy your morning coffee or indeed, afternoon rose! Couldn't recommend more highly and hope we can book next year. Also the cleanliness standards were fantastic and felt really comfortable visiting during a pandemic.
-
"Hob not working."
Little room in kitchen area to work. Local pub/restaurant closed. No other local eateries. Noisy people in adjoining house, only thin wall between our bedroom and their place. Rude locals.
Cabbage Patch is a cosy little retreat, that does join up with the larger Plas next door. We don't usually have any problems with noise so we are sorry to hear you were disturbed. The hob is brand new and since been tested with no faults. The instructions are left in the property in case needed. Rhoscolyn is a beautiful and peaceful village which is part of its charm. I can now confirm that The White Eagle is open and if you are looking for more options to eat out, Trearddur Bay and Valley are just a short drive away. Property Owner

"Great location and a lovely cottage"
-
"A charming little cottage set in wonderful surroundings."
A lovely place to relax and unwind.
-
"The induction cooker hob didn't work properly, everytime we wanted to use the hob we had to turn the cooker off at the mains and switch it back on again for each ring."
There were only 2 saucepans the size of my hand to cook a Christmas dinner, and for some reason 3 frying pans and 3 sieves. There was a box with cling film and tin foil under the sink as there was on the previous 3 Christmas's we have stayed at your cottages, however on Christmas day when we went to use the foil, there was approximately 3" of foil NOT enough to cover my joint. When I went to cut my Xmas vegetables with "ALL 5 KNIVES " in the knife block there wasn't 1 which was useable, my veg were either crushed or shredded. The dust on top of the plug sockets behind the bedside tables is thick as it is against the skirting behind the bedside tables. The tops of the bedside tables are both damaged, the lampshade on the lamp nearest to the bathroom is broken and has spikes sticking out of the top of the shade. The seating in the livingroom was uncomfortable last year and is even more uncomfortable this year. There was a smell in the bathroom when we arrived which seemed to linger for the week we were there. Although we have spent the last 3 Christmases at this cottage I feel that this will be our last, I don't like change and once I find somewhere nice I will keep returning, however if standards slip then I'm afraid I will find somewhere that I'm happy with and with high standards.

"Loved staying at The Cabbage Patch."
It has everything we need in a perfect location.
-
"The Cottage is ideal, has everything you could want, the only comments i would make is that the listing does not mention that the TV has an in built DVD player which it has, it could do with a new set of kitchen knives the ones provided are past their best, apart from that difficult to fault the cottage, very peacefull part of the country."
-
"The Cabbage Patch is the cutest little place, very convenient for walking and the beautiful Rhoscolyn Bay."
The features and fittings are just gorgeous. The food we ordered from you was excellent though sadly one of the lamb in suets was all broken up so it overcooked. Slight downsides:- The bed was a bit narrow for us but extremely comfy and we slept well. Only other aspect was that the garden furniture needs a real overhaul. We had to clean it on day one which was not a fun thing to do on holiday. Also TV sound is really poor, like mumblegate! The holiday was perfect. Anglesey is a very special and beautiful island.
-
"Lovely cottage in beautiful and relaxing setting."
-
"Excellent greeting pack."
Wi-Fi not working. Telephoned and got a quick response but after man called determined was a BT fault. Not repaired whilst we were there. I know these things happen but this was reported by last 2 guests and it should have been dealt with before we arrived. Lovely cottage and location. Also we requested a tablet for dishwasher as some of the pots and pans were not very clean.
-
"Perfect cottage for two people (and one medium to large dog)."
What I liked: Well maintained - and clear that owners listen to feedback as ‘grips’ from other guests have been dealt with (e.g. there is now a large frying pan - something that was missing for a previous reviewer). Exceptional clean. Well equipped - liked that basics such as kitchen foil, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid were provided - and welcome tray was very much appreciated. High quality bedding and towels. Views of the bay and mountains in the distance from the large window. Good WiFi and excellent picture on small TV (with basic Sky package) - both a nice touch. Enough space to be more than comfortable, even in the bedroom which was bigger than it looked in the pictures. Secure garden ensuring that our dog could not get out (really important given the number of rabbits and new born lambs immediately outside the property). Fantastic walks / runs on your doorstep (two days we didn’t even use the car). Really nice dog friendly pub five minutes walk away. Super nice locals, including the local farmer who we had a chat with each time we saw him. What I didn’t like: Nothing really - no wardrobe or hangers (although we didn’t really need them and anyway, there wasn’t space for a wardrobe) and the kitchen could do with a garlic press, but that’s about all.
-
"Warm and cosy with glorious views"
-
"The cottage is perfect for a "couple", the views from the sitting room and garden across the fields are fabulous of the sea and Rhosneigr."
The cottage is spotless, on arrival there is a welcome tray of tea, coffee, sugar, cakes and milk. There are plenty of walks around the cottage as well as drives along the coast. This was our 2nd Christmas in this cottage and we weren't disappointed.
-
"Excellent location and we'll presented property."
Bags of history.
-
"Excellent! Very comfortable stay."
Loved the area and the cottage.
-
"Quirky little cottage which grew on us as the week progressed."
Major problem with shower cubicle before we arrived could have been a serious issue but a temporary solution was found and didn't spoil the holiday. Some instructions on how to work the central heating timer would have been useful as it took all week to figure it out.
-
"Lovely cosy, warm, clean cottage perfect for 2 people and our dog."
Great location for the beach, dog walks and the White Eagle Pub and close to Trearddur Bay. Only point to downgrade review to 4*s is I feel need for new mattress as bed was extremely soft and for a little uncomfortable.
-
"A lovely cosy hideaway, perfect for a romantic retreat or anyone wanting peace and solitude."
so comfortable and amazingly it felt quite spacious considering it is only really 2 rooms plus en suite. we loved the log burner which brought the room to life in seconds. views to the coast are stunning, and the walk up the hill and onto the coastal path is fantastic. The White Eagle pub less than 5 min walk is superb - food excellent.
-
"Lovely location with great views over to Rhosneigr."
Easy walk to a fabulous beach and pub. Cottage itself could do with a bit of a facelift although possibly not when guests are there. Workmen turned up at 8am on two mornings which is a bit early for a relaxing holiday.
-
"The cottage is perfect for anyone with a dog."
It’s perfectly comfortable, without being so pristine you worry every time the dog comes in Some things could be improved. Bathroom door sticks, grass needs cutting and it’s almost impossible not to bring gravel in from the passage. Added to the fact that there was no hoover, it was difficult to keep clean during the week. However this sounds negative when in reality we really enjoyed our stay. Bed is supper comfortable and the view is fantastic. Dog walking right outside the front door and a super dog friendly pub just yards away
-
"Cabbage feels a little worn and need of a re-furb"
-
"A beautifully quaint romantic hideaway in a fabulous part of the country - the only noises were the sheep, the waves and the birds."
Lovely and clean and welcoming - didn't want to come home
-
"Excellent and beautiful location, short walk to the stunning sandy, dog friendly beach and a lovely pub serving good and interesting food."
accommodation is clean, well designed and very pleasant to be in. Perfect, enclosed rear garden for our dog and lovely views across the bay.
-
"3 stars is thanks to the location."
The cottage itself is tired and lacked basic equipment in the kitchen such as a washing up bowl, a frying pan big enough to make a cooked breakfast (the one there is tiny and breakfast consequently had to be cooked in stages) and teaspoons (2 is not enough). The sofa is extremely uncomfortable and the feathers stick through the material and jab you. There were also many cobwebs. The welcome pack was gratefully received.
-
"Good location, external areas untidy and garden too small"
-
"Clean and functional- very picturesque"
-
"Very nice cottage although the kitchen area was dimly lit and they need some lighting outside ."
We arrived in the evening and couldn't,t see a thing.
-
"Very cosy and comfortable with a wonderful view from the window."
Well equipped kitchen. Lights had been left on for our arrival which was very thoughtful. A lovely welcome tray too. Only 4 stars because the light under kitchen cupboard has not been replaced which made it dark.
-
"The place is excellent but there are a couple of minor issues."
Firstly there are no oven dishes or casseroles, otherwise well equipped, Secondly there is no way of ventilating the main room other than opening the door. But as I say those are minor issues - the place is outstanding and I will aim to book again in the future
-
"What a Beautiful cosy cottage, decorated with a lovely Christmas tree, log fire burning and views over the bay!"
! Such a special Christmas, what more could you ask for. Thank you Menai, we will be returning.
-
"Our sixth visit to the Cabbage patch - our favourite place to unwind and enjoy superb coastal scenery and a great pub."
-
"Really cosy and warm when we turned up which was a lovely touch to the beginning of our trip."
Nice and clean rooms and cakes, tea and coffee provided on the table on arrival. Lovely touches make all the difference. Beautiful surroundings and close to the town centre if needed, situated opposite a beach a 10 minute walk away. The holiday was perfect and the pup loved it also! The only thing I would comment on is the cupboard in the bedroom is I think next to the neighbours kitchen and dining area, meaning I could hear everything happening. It didn't affect my holiday at all, just a thought for future people staying. Thanks so much :)
-
"Lovely location however cottage quite scruffy and in need of some attention."
Dirty scratched pans, flaking paint, dirty windows, messy garden with shrubs blocking what could be a potentially fantastic view. Garden furniture to be ashamed of. on the good side the shower was lovely and the quality of bedding and towels made the stay very comfortable.
-
"In need of end of season deep clean and paint work flaking off in bedroom and bathroom."
A great location but a bit of t l c new shower holders and sink drainers and local maps would help .
-

About the location
RHOSCOLYN
Valley 2 miles; Trearddur Bay 3 miles; Holyhead 5 miles.
Located on Holy Island, three miles from Trearddur Bay, Rhoscolyn is a small village with a church and primary school and is the most southerly place on Holy Island. Rhoscolyn also offers an excellent pub on the lane down to the beach, which is renowned for its gastro food, and the beach itself with its slipway, ideal for small dinghies and power boats, is a popular family destination throughout the summer owing to the sheltered cove and gently sloping sands. Also excellent cliff-top walks can be enjoyed and an abundance of wildlife can be seen, often including seals on the headland. Just two miles away is the village of Valley, which has a Post Office, chemist, shops and eating places, plus the nearby resort of Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of the island and is truly beautiful with a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine Blue Flag sandy beaches. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, supermarkets, harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. Watersports, bathing, sailing, windsurfing and horse riding are the main activities in the summer months, plus golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course, and the area is also a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse RSPB Reserve. An excellent location with plenty to see and do!
