  • "This idyllic property is well worth a visit, the owners were friendly and helpful."

We booked a 2 week holiday at this property but unfortunately due to unavoidable family circumstances had to leave after only 3 days. A big Thank You for the kindness of the owners. The accommodation was spotless, with all the comforts of home and the views are outstanding. We are defiantly looking forward to returning to this property in the future.

Gorgeous views and ideally located to access the A55. Close to shops and amenities.

  • "Although cottage was spotlessly clean and pleasant we had no access to heating should it be needed."

Owner told us it was controlled by them. She did say she would put it on an hour mornings and 2 in the evening but this did not happen. We were not cold but being a wet week it would have been good to dry our clothes. Towels stayed Damp all week. If they are worried about heating Costs they should follow example of other owners and allow a certain amount of heating expenditure for guests and if they exceed that amount they pay the difference.Towel rails should be heated independent of heating system. No point in having one otherwise. Never stayed anywhere with this arrangement before. No outside light at cottage so not good coming back in the dark. These points tarnished the holiday somewhat. B Rothwell damp as towel rail was attached to heating system. No outside light when we came back in the dark. Would suggest that like other cottages we have stayed in they say we can have up to a certain amount in heating charges but if we use over that then we pay the difference? A heated towel rail should be independent of central heating. These things tarnished the holiday somewhat. B Rothwell

  • "Lovely cottage."

Very clean and very well equipped. Owner was friendly and very helpful. What let it down was the lack of comfortable seating. A two seater settee and a curious swivel chair. It needs an easy chair. Its disability friendly but the seating is not. Owner very responsive to questions and was extremely helpful

  • "This is a beautiful cottage, well designed, well appointed, clean, cosy and comfortable, set in lovely gardens with fantastic views of the Snowdon mountains."

The only disappointment for us was its location so close to the A55 main road. Had the weather permitted, we would have found sitting outside unpleasant with the constant traffic noise. It is a pity that Sykes did not reveal the precise location of the property until after booking and payment is complete. Having said that, we had a great holiday in this beautiful cottage.

  • "This is a lovely cottage in a very peaceful location with excellent views to the Snowdon Mountain range in the distance."

It is easily accessible from the mainland with shops and pubs nearby. The cottage was absolutely spotless with everything needed to cook to hand. I have no hesitation in recommending it as a lovely place to stay.

  • "Firstly, it is crucial that the directions provided by the owner are followed, and not the sat nav !"

..I doubt if you would find it otherwise. Very secluded, and quiet which was just what we were after, with spectacular views of Snowdonia from the property. We received a very warm welcome from the owners, and went on to have a wonderfully relaxing week. Thank you Geoff & Sue

  • "I was shocked to hear, after booking and paying in full that we were not entitled to any money back should our area go into local lockdown that would affect holiday bookings."

I understand that we are living in strange times but I think that this should be looked at to make people feel more confident in booking. Another surprise was the location of the cottage following the pictures. From the photography and descriptions it looks like this is a little cottage set in its own grounds, not that of several other properties. I was a little disappointed on arrival. Having said that, the site was wonderfully quiet with no disturbance. The owners were exceptional, so friendly and really could not do enough to help. The cottage was clean and contained everything you need for a relaxing stay. Could not fault the facilities. The issue was more with Sykes cottages rather than the owners who deserve every success and congratulations for the service they provide. So many amazing attractions on the doorstep. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the cottage, just feel like Sykes might hamper what is a lovely little location with exceptional service. If I were the owner I would be having a serious word with Sykes about their customer service and also slight misinterpretation of the actual location!
