Had a lovely stay at seagull cottage, the house is lovely and cozy and a lovely seaside feel about it, it’s alot bigger than it looks too, owners very helpful , we’ll definitely be back thank you

Thanks Jayne. You were great guests and its great to know you enjoyed your stay. You were our last guests prior to the new kitchen being fitted - this winters upgrade. We will post new photos on the site asap. Looking forward to our guests reactions to the new design in 2025. Hope we see you then. Have a great Christmas and New Year. Thanks Rick. Property Owner

Spacious rooms with no unnecessary clutter to trip over, you dont need to have mobility problems though to enjoy this holiday home

Thanks for the review. mobility for everyone is very important to us as one of us is a wheelchair user. We can't cater for every disability we have made the cottage as accessible as possible with the ramp access, wet room with grab handles, comfort height toilet with handles and various pieces of equipment available such as standing frame, shower chair and comode, also bedside grab handle and other access aids. We try to keep the place free of barriers and are pleased you found it comfortable. We are closing in November to install a new kitchen and utility suite and will consider any access issues and aids to mobility we can include in these upgrades. Hope you and mum revisit sometime. Having use of the garage was very useful especially with having wetsuits etc from beach days to dry out. It was also easy with a beach trolley to just roll it in and leave ready for the next day. The location was ideal too with a very short walk to the beach.

Thanks for your great review. So glad you enjoyed the cottage and beach. Hope you and the family can come again. Have a great finish to the summer. Rick and Helen. Property Owner

  • "Kitchen could have been a lot cleaner"

On inspection I totally agree with your feedback and the oven situation has been rectified. I can assure you and others this is untypical if they check the reviews. The cleaner has been notified of the issues raised and I have scoured the oven and extractor. We appreciate feedback and always act upon it. The kitchen is very clean now and the entire kitchen is to be replaced in autumn once we are through the current seasonal bookings. We hope this didn't negatively impact the whole holiday and assure other guests they will not find the same issue - oven needed a more thorough clean. Sorry and thanks for your feedback. • "Such a lovely property in a prime location."

It was lovely and quiet, yet you were near to the hustle and bustle of the beautiful beach. We had a few minor issues which were easily resolved , there was a sign on the fridge saying the fridge wouldn't work if freezer door not shut but we couldn't shut it due to the ice but we cleaned the ice out . The bathroom door was off its tracker so my husband put that back on. We booked for 4 adults but it was set up for 2 adults so a quick trip to tesco. Overall a lovely stay in a lovely area we have stayed before in this area and can't wait to be back in Treddaur Bay.

Thanks for your great review Kate. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay and it was great communicating with you during your stay and discussing local attractions while resolving any feedback comments you gave for which we are always grateful. We have took on board all feedback and actioned this. We look forward to welcoming you back to beautiful Trearddur Bay. Thanks for your positive feedback - Rick & Helen Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Seagull Cottage, which our 8 yr old granddaughter described as 'beautiful'."

It's very comfortable, in a quiet location close to the beach and other amenities in Trearddur Bay. Perfectly equipped for a relaxing family holiday. A call from Rick, the owner to check that we had found everything OK, and to give a bit of information about places to visit etc. made us feel very welcome and reassured us that help was on hand should we have needed it. We would definitely recommend this place and hope to return in the future. Thank you.

Thanks Anne for that great review. I always enjoy touching base with guests to see they've settled in and advise on the local amenities and attractions. All the young children in our extended family love the cottage and the beach too and return year after year into adulthood some now bringing their own kids too. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay and hope you return to our special haven - Seagull Cottage. Thank you for spending time to feedback - Rick & Helen. Property Owner

Comfortable, modern, clean and feels like a real family home. The location is amazing - a few minutes walk and you're on the beach, where the kids played in rockpools, while we watched the sunset. The facilities are second to none - everything you need. The kids loved playing games in the conservatory. Rick was a lovely host and we felt really privileged to stay in the lovely home that he and his family have obviously worked so hard on. Thanks so much!

Thanks so much for that lovely review Rachel. It's great to know we are getting it right and we take pleasure in knowing other families are creating great memories in our happy place. We hope you and the family return and look forward to welcoming you back. Great guests 10/10! Property Owner

  • "Seagull Cottage was so comfortable and cosy."

It was cleaned to a high standard. The location is fantastic you can even see the sea (just) from the sofa). The pictures don't show the newly installed bathroom with it's lovely walk in power shower. (We had no problems with the sliding door a previous guest mentioned). The lounge is slightly different to the pictures too with different (comfortable) sofas and a larger smart TV. The king-size bed was super comfortable and the kids said the bunk beds were great, they certainly slept well! The conservatory was super cosy and we had a great afternoon playing board games in there when the weather was pouring down outside. It was very generous of the owners to allow use of the equipment in the garage. We certainly needed the windbreaks on the beach! It was kind of the owner to call to check everything was ok it certainly added to us feeling very welcome. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Thank You Heather for that lovely review. Sounds like not all websites have updated our photos so I will look into that. Sorry the weather wasn't great but if you return it's likely to be better! It is good to hear the kids liked the bunks and everything else was good. We look forward to you coming again. Enjoy the rest of the summer. Thanks for this great review. Rick. Property Owner

Plenty of space and room to sit outside if the weather is kind - was mixed when we stayed. Some minor issues with a sticking bathroom door and hard to lock garage door but nothing else.

Thanks Deborah. Glad you had another great stay. I've got someone looking at the bathroom door this week. We've had to fit the sliding door to improve wheelchair access in the room - seemed ok when fitted but getting the sliding smooth needs some tweaking now it's settled. Thanks for the feedback. • "Overall a great place to stay."

Great location. The owners were very helpful. There were signs of lack of maintenance. Toilet seat was loose (owner offered to fix it straightaway) some door handles were difficult to close, the sliding door in the bathroom kept sticking. The mattresses on the bunk beds were very thin and not comfortable (probably great for kids but not for people in their late 70s. The lounge was great - sofas very comfortable. We enjoyed our week. Great place to stay and explore the island. We loved our walks from the cottage down to the sea. Lovely coastline.

Hi Wesley thanks for the feedback. The toilet seat was fixed the day you left as you requested to not be disturbed during your break which we understand. The alternative toilet off the hall was OK. I think due to people wheelchair transferring the bathroom seat had got twisted in-situ but it is rectified now. We have lubricated the door handles mentioned and do have some teething problems with the new sliding set up on that bathroom door. It should be easy to fix when I visit- thanks for the heads up and sorry for any inconvenience. The bunk mattress' were new this spring but as bunk beds we wouldn't recommend these for pensioners either they are more suited to teens and children as the decor in that room implies. Bunks are the only way to get two beds in this room so we can't do much there but appreciate the feedback none the less. Thanks for your comments. Property Owner
