  • "Wonderful cottage, very clean and tidy with everything we needed for a comfortable stay."

Great location for a week of walking and mountain biking. Many thanks.

Thank you so much for your kind review, and glad that you enjoyed your stay in Gwynedd! Would it be possible to publish the review so other guests can see it? It seems to be hidden for some reason, Many thanks Eleanor Property Owner

Ro’n i’n poenu tipyn am barcio- ond llwyddais i gael lle ar yr heol wrth y ty bob tro. A doedd y grisiau lawr i’r drws, na’r grisiau yn y ty ddim yn broblem chwaith. Gweithio yma yn y theatr ym Mangor am y mis ro’n i ac fe roedd yn gartref clyd dros y cyfnod. Beautifully decorated, brilliant central heating, plenty of hot water and a comfortable bed with an amazing view of the Menai Straits greeting me every morning. I was a bit worried about parking but I managed to find a space on the road near the house every time. And the steps down to the house, or the stairs in the house were’nt a problem either. I was working at the theatre in Bangor for the month and it was a cosy home for the period.

Diolch am yr adolygiad hyfryd! Gwych cael glywed dy fod wedi cael arhosiad da, enjoia bod adra arôl cymaint o amser I ffwrdd yn gweithio. Thank you so much for the kind and lovely review! Wonderful to hear you had a great stay, and hope you’re enjoying being home after some time away Property Owner

  • "I thought we had a lovely time here."

There were a few things wrong with the property, but in context of the lovely setting and the list of nice activities planned those things just seemed irrelevant. We wasnt there to create snag lists or complain and we are open minded to believe no where is perfect. THESE WHERE... SHOWER HEAD, struggled to move up and down had to squat to shower first night. NOISE- you can hear the neighbojrs doing evertyhing. Due to there being lots of wood flooring you worry they will hear you so we spent all the wvenings tip-toeing about. DANGEROUS ROAD- not the owners fault but not clear on listing. You leave the property and walk down a ginel of uneven steep steps then straight onto a fast road with no pavement. THE FREEZER COMPARTMENT WOULDNT OPEN. NO HANDLE ON IT, BUT WE COULD GET IT BY USING OUR FINGERS IN THE SAME WAY THE HANDLE WOULD WORK. SECOUNDLY A PIECE OF WOULD TRIM WAS OFD AND THIS WENT THRLUGH MY SANDAL AND INTO MY FOOT. We went for my daughter 2nd birthday and was married close by so the area feels special to us, so it was good. The views were lovely so we just got on with having a good time. THEN.... Im checking my emails to forward my friend the listing. And i see emails from sykes saying they are charging me for the freezer door clip!!

I'm glad you say you had a lovely time and you were ready to recommend the house to your friend. I hope you can appreciate that without issues being reported immediately to us, we are unable to rectify any problems you may experience. I noticed the breakage of the freezer compartment door after you had vacated the property and I replaced the door within 24 hours. This could have been achieved during your stay if it had been bought to my attention at the time. Property Owner

  • "We had a great stay."

Property was clean and tidy, nicely decorated and very well equipped. We had everything we needed for the week's stay. Parking was no problem in February, we managed to park one or two houses down for the whole week. Would definitely recommend and will be booking again. Thank you for a great base for our holiday!

  • "A really great place to stay with respect to easy access to Snowdonia and the coast with stunning views across the Menai Straits - so great for exploring all that the area has to offer."

Any issues with the property related to its “newness” - just snagging issues which have been reported to the owner and which are easily rectified. I was fully aware of the property being on 3 levels which was really quirky. The parking arrangements might be an issue for some clients. We had a great stay thank you.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay.Thank you so much for raising some teething issues within the property that you noticed .All have been rectified completely. Property Owner
