  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Delfryd, The house was very clean with everything we needed."

It was better and cleaner than we expected. The area was nice and quiet and in the perfect spot not too far from Bangor or Caernarfon. Nice new comfy sofa and looking out down the Menia was great. We would definitely stay here again.

  • "The accommodation was perfect."

It was exactly as advertised. It was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Parking was easy with lots of available spaces outside the property. There are steps from the parking area to the house but they were not a problem for us. The view across the Menai Strait was superb and the location peaceful and a good base for exploring North Wales. The kitchen was very well equipped for self catering. The provisions provided were a lovely touch. We had an ideal week at Delfryd.

Thank you for your lovely feedback, there is a ramp further along by the gap between the houses and the sea if the steps are an issue. We are glad you enjoyed your holiday at Delfryd. Property Owner

  • "Thin walls and very noisy neighbour's."

Central heating has a mind of it's own. But a very nice place with beautiful views and positioned great for access to Bangor etc .

Sorry you had an issue with the central heating it is normally very reliable. Just turning the thermostat up in the hall turns it on and the house heats up very quickly. However I have checked the boiler and it appears that the pressure was low and this was easily rectified. Normally any issues like this we encourage guests to contact us so we can deal with the problem straight away and it does not spoil your holiday. As the house is in a lovely position the properties either side are also holiday lets, we have not had issues of noise before but it is a shame the neighbouring guests were not considerate. We are pleased you enjoyed the house and it view, it is a good central position for exploring North Wales Property Owner

  • "This holiday was gifted us by our Daughter Caroline Delaney and our Son in Law Wayne."

We stayed at Delfryd last year and fell in love with everything about it. We were so pleased to return this year and it did not disappoint, it felt like coming home. The house itself is wonderful, very spacious, comfortable, warm, clean, well equipped. The owners left us some lovely treats, which we appreciated. It is extremely well situated for access to local amenities and trips out. The view from the balcony is amazing along the Menai Straits, it is ever changing TV not needed. A lovely short walk takes you to Swellies, a little cafe bar on the Marina a relaxed friendly place. Just further along is the Gardffon Inn, a pub overlooking the water, you are made very welcome here with a roaring fire and delicious home cooked food. All in all we really did not want to leave and will definitely return. Thank you to the owners for sharing this delightful property with us, also thank you to the housekeeping for a pleasant and comfortable stay. Elaine and Steve Delaney

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay, such a lovely gift from your Daughter and Son in Law. We do feel like it is a home from home when we visit. The Swellies also do a nice breakfast, a real treat from time to time. Thank you for your time in posting such positive feedback, we do appreciate it and we do hope you have a lovely Christmas and new Year. Property Owner

More than adequate equipment, utensils, heating and space. Balcony superb.... Weather dreadful due to Storm Agnes but wonderful views (due to the large window wall) up the Menai Straits of the storm and watching the boats struggling at their moorings!

Thank you for your positive feedback. Sorry the weather was dreadful. The view can be lovely in the sun, but it can be just as atmospheric watching a storm in the Strait. We are pleased that Delfryd met your needs for your holday. Property Owner

  • "Fabulous view but very little comfort as the settees are old and uncomfortable basic chairs on balcony damp smell in bedroom downstairs even when window was open, tiny bathroom with no natural light , difficult over bath shower and no hand rail."

    extremely disappointed

We are sorry that our lovely holiday home was not to your expectations. The owner of the cleaning company cleaned the property after you left and has informed us that he did not detect a damp smell. We have also been to the house in the last week and also couldn’t find any evidence of a damp smell either. The house is a very clean and has never shown signs of damp. Usually, visitors contact us directly during their stay if there are any problems so that they can be rectified as soon as possible. The sofas are not new but we find them very comfortable. While this is a matter of personal preference, we have been considering replacing them in the near future as part of a continuing programme of maintenance. The balcony chairs are clean and modern. They have an aluminium frame due to the close proximity to the sea and are like new. Most of the holiday lets in this area have similar bathrooms; there is a good centre light and two bright bulbs in the light over the mirror. We will arrange for a grab rail to be placed over the bath. Sykes and Menai Holidays take the trouble of providing very accurate photographs of the holiday properties on their websites, including bathrooms, which help potential visitors select a property to meet their needs. We are proud of our excellent feedback from holiday-makers and are sorry the property did not meet your requirements. Property Owner

The house was clean and in good repair. Everything was easy to find/use. Really only for the more mobile, as there are stairs down from the parking area to the front door and, being an ‘upside-down’ house, lots of up and down the stairs. Welcome gift of bara brith was a nice touch. And, of course, the stunning view which changes all the time! We really enjoyed our stay there.
