  • "Second stay at Haulfryn & we chose again because it in a great place in Moelfre."

Only short walk from house & your on the coastal path. Short walk down the hill to local pub, cafe or ice parlour. We have 2 dogs & safe place to stay for the dogs.shower outside to wash excess beach or mud off the dogs. My mother has poor mobility & house was accessible for her with walker & they have a ramp into the main entrance. Lovely home & made welcome by special thoughtful touches by the owners. Highly recommend this lovely home.

Imaginatively modernised to provide a nice big living space with views to the sea and immediate access to the coastal path. We loved it . Thank you.

  • "Had a great stay with friends in Haulfryn over half term."

Lovely view of the sea and a stones throw from the coastal path with beautiful walks in either direction. Lots of space for the dogs to pad around in the garden and the kids loved the bunk bed room. There was plentiful hot water and the place was warm and cosy after a day of getting wet in the Welsh rain. So much so, we didn't feel the need to use the woodburner. The kitchen was well kitted out and we even able to make a roast. Moelfre is a lovely little village- good pub, ice cream shop and fish and chips. Sweet little pebble beach which is great for swimming from (even in the winter!) A perfect base for exploring Anglesey and we would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the outside space and visit more of the beautiful beaches.

  • "After reading some of the recent feedback regarding this property we approached our Christmas break with some trepidation."

The negative comments were totally uncalled for and unfounded. On arrival to the property we were greeted with a beautifully laid out Christmas Hamper and the property was very tastefully decorated for Christmas. This property is stunning. It is in the most amazing location with easy access to both the village and the coastal path. The interior is well thought out and very spacious and the kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Yes, the sofa back was quite low for my 6 foot husband and the front door does need slamming hard but these are very minor details. We experienced a very dramatic storm during our stay and had to use a bungee cord on the main gate to keep it closed but the view of the lightening over the sea more than made up for it. The property was very warm, clean and extremely comfortable. A massive bonus for us, travelling with two Pekingese show dogs, was the outside shower with warm water which enabled us to keep the dogs very clean after our long walks. I have already recommended this property to a number of friends and colleagues and would like to thank the owners for allowing us to spend a wonderful Christmas in their beautiful home.

  • "We have stayed here three years ago, so went back."

Disappointed the owners have let it become so tired and uncared for. The oven was dirty, the kettle and toaster needs replaced and the crockery is scratched to the point it should have been disposed of long ago. We also didn’t enjoy playing ‘temperature tag’ as every time we turned up the heating, it would be turned down remotely via the app. It was freezing, and we checked it was switched to manual and not timed. The garden is not secure for dogs with gaps everywhere and the gate doesn’t lock. It’s a danger not to have any outside lighting at all. We were told the wrong day for the bins and were shocked to discover no recycling bins at all. Pity as this is in such a beautiful spot and the sea can be seen from the lounge. More love and attention needs to be paid to the general upkeep and cleanliness.

The guests booked to stay for one week after having called in advance to enquire about the lighting and gate. Whilst at the property they requested to extend their stay for a further week. We offered to get the oven cleaned which they refused had fresh logs and a gift delivered. The heating was not adjusted via the App as claimed and the guests did not report any issues to us during their 2 week stay. We are therefore very surprised and upset to read this review. • "Lovely property and amazing views from the living room."

The property was in a amazing location on the coastal path and a short walk into moelfre. Easy check in and information left from the owners about the property on arrival. The only down side to the property was that the garden was stated as enclosed which it is not as there are gaps in the hedge and the front gate is not secure to small dogs. As I was travelling with 2 dogs and a small baby this wasn’t ideal as I then had to take the dogs out on the lead every time. The garden could also benefit from a light. Also the sofa in the living room was not comfortable as it had no back to it and there was not enough chairs if the property was booked to capacity. If these things were fixed the property would be perfect.

  • "We have just returned from a 5 night stay at the cottage."

The location was amazing for walks, close to the beach, pub and the RNLI visitors centre. There isn't any outside lighting, which would have been an advantage for taking the pooch out for the toilet...we're glad we took a good torch with us! Even though the listing says enclosed garden, there are low walls, and the gates don't lock properly...well worth having a check before letting your pooch out

  • "Everything was clean and well laid out."

It was in a lovely position. We enjoyed our holiday. Perhaps a rearrangement of kitchen cupboards to allow space to store food would be helpful. We found the armchairs had low backs and it would have been helpful if they had high back chairs. All in all we were satisfied

  • "Beautiful bungalow with fabulous views of the sea and the coastal path is right on the doorstep, the rnli shop is just round the corner where you can take the path into the village which is really pretty ,you can sit at the local pub and take in the view of the bay which is stunning and have lunch ,."

There is also cafe that does food a little further on ,we had a great time and would highly recommend the stay ,there was no 2pin plugs in the bathrooms so would recommend you charge razors and toothbrushes before you go other than that the property is well equipped with a good size fridge with separate freezer below ,microwave and electric cooker .

  • "The property is lovely and a fabulous location."

If 8 people are staying then seating in the lounge area is limited. A further comfy chair would be good. It would also benefit from a clothes airer so towels can be dried outside when you don’t want to put the heating on. The shower in the en-suite leaks water onto the floor even with the door shut. The water had to be moped up after every use. Other than that, it was perfect! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home x

  • "The cottage is in a beautiful place that being said its damp in the old parts of the cottage it's been renovated to a basic standard and bits of it are really badly finished ."

The front door is difficult to open and lock the doors on the balcony need adjusting and it's not lit .The garden is not enclosed there is open access to the sides of the cottage .The bedding is stained and the towels are grubby if there was a way to put on photos I would! The shower is grubby and doesn't dry it leaks too so be careful .There are gaps in the decking all in all its poorly maintained and not worth the price .

Thank you for your recent booking at our holiday home. We are sorry that you have felt the need to raise some issues and were surprised given the positive feedback we have had since letting this property. The property was entirely renovated 4 years ago with an architect onboard at a considerable expense. The front door is a bit stiff but we will get this looked into. In regards to the garden not being lit, the description of the house does not state the garden is lit. The property is fully enclosed with two gates one providing vehicle and the other foot access - both of which can be closed. The bedding and towels are provided by our house keeper and are not our own. We will mention this to them, however it would have been useful had you provided photographs of the alleged stained bedding as requested by the agent. The shower was designed as a wet room but we will be making some changes to it. The decking to the front of the property was replaced in July. We are grateful for your feedback but extremely disappointed that you have not had an enjoyable experience unlike so many of our other guests. Property Owner

The accommodation has everything you need and is finished to a very high standard. Beautiful views of the sea in the distance and the coastal footpath at your doorstep. It’s only a short walk into the village where you will find a cafe & a pub. We loved our stay and hope to return soon.
