"A very comfortable, well equipped cottage in a breathtakingly beautiful part of Scotland."
Thanks to a well-stocked bird feeder at the bottom of the garden, we were treated to a host of different birds throughout the day. Others report seeing pine martins and red squirrels. We weren't so lucky, but on our last night the skies cleared and we saw the Northern Lights. Unforgettable!
We are so grateful to Elspeth for a wonderful week in Durran.

"What an absolute gem!"
The cottage is beautifully located, overlooking grassland/wild flowers and woodland down to Loch Awe. The skies are huge. The setting so peaceful. The owners kept the bird feeders well stocked and we saw red squirrels, woodpeckers (lesser and greater), jays, an array of native birds and biggest treat - pine martens!
The cottage itself is lovely, exceptionally clean and well equipped. We had everything we needed. The owners were great, informative, on hand but never intrusive.
It was so relaxing, a revitalising break, thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you Drover's Way.

Een aardig welkom met een bloemetje. Hsrtelijke eigenaren. A great place to watch wildlife (red squirrels, a pine marten, woodpeckers, siskin) and enjoy peace and tranquility. The views from the cottage of Loch Awe are inspiring, and ever changing with the light and the weather. The decking at the back is a real sun trap. We had an amazing week, walking and cycling. On and near the Loch, Dipper, Herons, Cormorants, Ducks, a late Osprey.
Visits to Crinan, Ardfern, Arduaine Garden and Seil all very worthwhile with excellent Tea Rooms. The view of Ben Cruachan from the Loch (Awe) is great in clear conditions and with mist early am. Cottage is in a clear area of the forest also with great views.

"Beautiful, isolated location."
The cottage was really clean and well equipped, although the lack of wardrobes was a problem and the lack of any sort of grab handle in the bathroom to climb out of the shower was quite dangerous, especially as there is no non-slip mat in the bath. A pint of milk would also be great upon arrival as it is such a long way to Lochgilphead.
Thank you for your comment. The bath is an anti slip bath, there is a textured section that covers more than 1/2 of the base of the bath. The bath also has 2 handles on each side. We have provided milk in the past but as most people arrive supplied, it was being left in the fridge unused and then thrown out.

"A thoroughly good time spent in the cottage."
All as described with all creature comforts. Very clean and tidy. Perhaps an additional set of towels would be a help as weather dependant to dry the one set , or a note to suggest only one set supplied prior to arrival.
Very grateful that owners were at the end of a text for advice and tick removal !

The views from the property are beautiful even when you lie in bed it’s just fab.
