  • "We enjoyed our stay and the beds are the most comfortable beds in any holiday cottage we have stayed in, and we have stayed in a few."

The bedrooms were beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. Excellent fridge/freezer space as we take enough food for a fortnight and good kitchen facilities. The sitting area was a bit small for all of us but we made it work. Ashleigh was lovely, always at the end of the phone, even when we called the wrong number she was always lovely. Would recommend The Old Rectory, especially if your stay is during summer as you are right on beach, would definately go again.

There adid not appear to be any instructions.

  • "Lacking in facilities, no en-suite on the ground level, no shower mat in the shared bathroom and shower floor got very slippery ( so we bought one before anyone had an accident)."

Kitchen equipment not adequate as largest pan to small to cook for a family. No tongs to turn things in the grill etc. the front lounge was not big enough the party size. No bbq but we bought small disposable ones (perhaps it would be a good idea to say in listing). All in all we feel the facilities do not match the premium rental so would not recommend it. It was an excellent base and we had good weather so had a good holiday in the area.

  • "We enjoyed a lovely stay and it was a good property for our entire family comprising 6 adults and 3 small children."

The only drawbacks were the lack of a bath for our 1 year old grand daughter (but we improvised by purchasing a small child's paddling pool which we were able to use in the walk in shower, and which, incidentally, we left behind should any future family wish to use it) and we found the sitting area a little small (it certainly would be cramped if there were a full quota of 14 people). On the plus side there was a high chair for our grand daughter to use, despite this not being shown on the listing, and the availability of a travel cot was greatly appreciated. Superb location with great views and ready (walking) access to the facilities in Largs

  • "We had a great stay at the Old Rectory."

We were a group of 14 adults. The facilities and location were great. The owner was also very helpful and on hand for any questions I had. We will definitely recommend the house to others.

  • "Great house in a great location, only problem was it did get a bit cold as no heating came on."

Couldn’t use the frying pans as they weren’t cleaned from previous guests. But would return in the furture. Was big enough to allow a large family gathering.

  • "We stayed with aunts and cousins for a family get together, the house is lovely."

Great property fab location only downside is there was no shower downstairs. Some members couldn’t access the stairs due to poor mobility. It would be beneficial to have hanging facilities in the twin bedroom and carpets rather than the tiles, also needs small table lamp in this room. The other rooms were lovely and luxurious. We had a fantastic time in your lovely home.

  • "We loved our stay at The Old Rectory."

It was a beautiful property and you could feel the love and happiness as you walked through the door. The sock box was the cutest, and so kind of the owners to leave us some starter bits of food. It was so lovely and relaxing to sit by the fire and listen to the waves. Thank you so much for a lovely and memorable family holiday :) Xx
