"We had a lovely stay at Auchentroig House - it was such an enjoyable experience in a wonderful setting, in the countryside but not far from amenities with a car."
The rooms were very spacious and had lovely original features - yet it felt homely. Alexander is very friendly and helpful, and went out of his way to sort out our little mishap (!) which was much appreciated :) We've already told friends and family what a lovely time we had, and hope to return again in the future - thanks again :)

About the location
BUCHLYVIE
Aberfoyle 11 miles, Loch Lomond 11 miles, Stirling 14 miles.
The village grew originally in the 17th century due to its location on the old military road which is now the A 811 and developed further with the arrival of the railway between Stirling and Balloch, at the south end of Loch Lomond. A further connection was added to Aberfoyle to accommodate the increasing tourist numbers. The lines were all discontinued by the 1950s and the main route through the village is the main A811 between Stirling and Loch Lomond. The village today has an inn, a supermarket, post office and coffee shop/ pottery shop and an art gallery. Most of central Scotland can easily be accessed from the village with Loch Lomond, The Trossachs, Stirling and Glasgow all within easy reach.
