"Had the best shirt break."
This property was extraordinary. If you are looking for a rural escape this is the place for you! The owners have gone the extra mile to make the property welcoming and comfortable. "Of all the many holiday homes we’ve stayed in over the years, Hazel’s Cottage must be the best in every respect."
Wonderful location - sea views, and gorgeous sunsets to watch. The cottage is beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and very comfortably furnished. The kitchen is well-equipped, everything needed for home cooking. Our hosts had provided us with a welcome pack, with treats including some spectacular and delicious home-made cakes, and they were on hand next door with friendly advice and information. We were lucky with the autumn weather - mild sunny days to explore the beautiful beaches of Kintyre. Altogether, we’ve had a most enjoyable holiday. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your lovely review. We are so pleased you had such an enjoyable stay. Property Owner

"This was a lovely cottage and bore the stamp of the owners who had furnished and decorated it with loving care."
The bold wallpapers gave every room its own character. It was clean, comfortable and convenient and we loved the tucked-away location up in the hills, far from the nearest road.
Thank you so much. We are delighted that you had such a wonderful and memorable stay. Property Owner

"Cottage exceeded all expectations."
Beautiful, rural location. On arrival there was a lovely welcome pack (gutted we left the last of the home baking behind in error!), the cottage was immaculate inside, gardens were beautiful. The owners are right on site so should you have an issues, we didn't, they are right there to assist. Very friendly & welcoming and kindly brought a goal out into the garden for our wee one the play with. Despite being pretty rural the cottage was very easy to find & you are not far from the main town and the many beaches. We will definitely return for longer next time.
Thank you so much Ellie for your lovely review. I'm so pleased that you had a wonderful stay and we look forward to welcoming you back soon. Property Owner

About the location
CAMPBELTOWN
Tarbert 38 miles; Lochgilphead 50 miles.
Campbeltown is the Kintyre Peninsula's main town and is set in a deep bay, sheltered by Davaar Island, which can be reached by foot at low tide by a mile-long causeway, and the beautiful surrounding hills. In its heyday, the town boasted a vast fishing fleet and, allegedly, 34 whisky distilleries! Today, there are two single malts to be sampled in the town, from Glen Scotia and Springbank. Worth a visit are the Campbeltown Heritage Centre, housed in an old church, the Tartan Kirk, a very striking building which provides an interesting insight into its past history, and the 'Wee Picture House', the country's oldest working cinema and an Art Deco treasure! The town also offers a swimming pool and fitness suite. A few miles to the south is The Mull of Kintyre, made famous by Sir Paul McCartney's song, from where you can see the hills of County Antrim, Northern Ireland, only 12 miles away.
Note: Please ensure dogs are kept on a lead at all times when walking in the area around the cottage as there are farm animals in the neighbouring fields.
Note: Though electricity is included in the rent, electricity for charging cars is not included in the rental.
