  • "Great location and lovely cottage."

Being over two floors gave a great view. The only small thing missing was a pair of kitchen scissors

  • "We enjoyed our stay very much."

It would have been nice if at least salt, pepper and garbage bags (to fill up) had been there. The apartments are wonderfully quiet with fantastic views of Loch Rannoch. Pure relaxation.

The cottage itself is ok showing signs of age however the showers are awful no where on the advert it said about having brown water i have a video of the shower and find it quite odd how anyone has managed with it and we left 2 days earlier then we had booked for this reason i will be complaining properly to sykes and seeking compensation

As the owner I would like to apologise , however the Water was due to storm damage to our water pump and filters which became blocked up which we were not aware of until the water pressure dropped , Indeed if you had informed us we may have been able to deal with it earlier. I will speak to Sykes re compensation as you deserve it , but it was out of our control and affected many properties around the loch. The problem is now solved and was sorted within two hours having discovered it. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely break ."

We stayed at Wallace cottage instead of Stewart but that was a plus as the views were beautiful . Weather appalling and the roads were a challenge due to the adverse weather but that did not detract from our enjoyment. I feel for the owners as their driveway to their cottages has been badly affected by the rain washing parts away but again care is needed. The cottage itself was very comfortable and clean . The adverse weather conditions concerned us with 3 wet dogs. spoiling the carpets but we had taken their beds so all ok ( little room in car for x3 Hoomans belonging ,,,,). Thank you for a very pleasant stay and hopefully will come back and the weather will be kinder..

Watching out for the wildlife and shooting stars on an evening was something special. The kind offer from the owner to access the private pond to fish for brown trout, and then enjoy cooking them was a wonderful surprise. Highly recommend booking your happy holidays here.

The views from the balcony were stunning. Facilities in the cottage were excellent and perfect for the two of us and our two dogs. About the location

KINLOCH RANNOCH

Pitlochry 20 miles; Perth 46 miles.

Kinloch Rannoch grew from a tiny hamlet in the mid 18th century under James Small who had served in Lord Loudon’s Regiment and which consisted of discharged army soldiers and crofters who had lost their land. Roads and bridges were improved to allow ease of movement for soldiers at the nearby Rannoch Barracks. The Sleeping Giant is a hill near the village said to resemble the upper body of a man and local legend states the giant will awake upon hearing his master’s flute playing. The main activity today is tourism and Kinloch Rannoch is ideally located for walking, sailing and angling. The small market town of Aberfeldy is close by and boasts a cinema, leisure centre, restaurants and shops. The town is also the setting for scenes in the Outlander TV series.
