  • "We had a lovely stay."

The property is spacious, warm and comfortable. We had everything we needed and the location is ideal for walking and running with lots of good routes close by. The children loved feeding the sheep. You made us feel better welcome. Only thing to improve would be a new bread knife, but that's being super picky.

WALKERBURN

Peebles 9 miles; Galashiels 10 miles; Edinburgh 31 miles

A delightful, rural village set in the heart of the Scottish Borders area. It is a fantastic base for a relaxing break with its idyllic, remote location. Walkerburn is flanked by the River Tweed and boasts the essential facilities in a shop, pub and a coffee shop. It is an incredibly history village, it was involved heavily in both World Wars, producing tartan and flannel for the army whilst the younger men went to battle. For shopping and eating, visit the nearby towns of Peebles and Galahiels, both short drives away with shops, restaurants and pubs to choose from. Further afield comes the capital of Edinburgh which is still easily accessible, it provides beautiful buildings, great shopping opportunities and many things to do.
