    And lovely big comfortable bed. An ideal location for touring this area. Wigtown has a small coop and many bookshops. We would recommend Hillcrest

Sat amongst an exquisite Victorian house turned Guest House, this charming annexe attached to the main house is the perfect place to base your romantic retreat to Scotland.

Inside you will find a gleaming contemporary-styled dwelling, holding an open-plan living space which makes a lovely area for unwinding and spending quality time with your loved one.

Within the main social space, you will find a modern gleaming kitchen, boasting an integral fridge and sleek worktops, this area is home to all of the utensils you could need to prepare a romantic meal to be enjoyed around the dining table with a glass of wine in hand.

The sitting area holds a plush sofa and a 50" smart TV where you can recline into the evening and unwind in between exploring the delights of Scotland.

When the evening draws to a close, retreat to the super king-size-bedroom where you will be greeted by a spectacular spot, with high ceilings and stylish furnishings, and another 50" smart TV, this room is sure to have you feeling like real royalty.

Enjoy a relaxing soak in the bathroom before beginning your day’s adventure, or enjoy the benefit of a separate walk-in shower to refresh ahead of a formal dining experience at the nearby local hotel.

Newton Stewart 7.1 miles.

Wigtown is located at the head of the Machars Peninsula in Dumfries and Galloway. Best known as being Scotland’s National Book Town, Wigtown also has a range of cafés, pubs and restaurants. There are now more than 20 book related businesses in Wigtown where you can happily spend your days wandering from shop to shop in search of a bargain. The Machars Peninsula has a coastline of 40 miles which ranges from mud flats to beaches and cliffs. From Wigtown you can easily discover the town of Newton Stewart which is known as the "Gateway to the Galloway Hills", the Isle of Whithorn with its fishing harbour and Bladnoch Distillery which is Scotland’s most southerly whisky distillery. A wonderful location for a relaxing holiday.
