  • "Lovely house in an ideal location to get to City centre."

Much bigger than photos suggest and perfect for family get together. Thoughtful touches and welcome pack on arrival. Recommend the Chinese and Cafe opposite and handy for Co-op.

  • "We had a great stay at Milton Road."

It was perfect for our large family get together. Heather was approachable and helpful and organised a late checkout on the Sunday which was very helpful.

  • "We had a great stay."

The property is lovely, well kept and very homely. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need including tea and coffee. I thought there were no baby facilities available but there was actually a highchair and travel cot, in hindsight I should have checked this so we didn't need to bring ours. The only thing worth mentioning is the 2 bedrooms at the front of the house are noisy as the road is quite busy, so worth bringing ear plugs, but still may not be a good option for light sleepers. 10am check-out was slightly challenging for us with small children and lots of baggage (we had lots of wedding stuff to pack up). The location is great for access to the centre, approx. 20-25 mins walking. We didn't get to appreciate the garden unfortunately due to the weather.

  • "This house is quite simply the best holiday rental we have ever stayed in."

It is a beautiful house which has been lovingly decorated and furnished. The kitchen is generously equipped with everything you might need and more. The welcome treats, including a huge bowl of fruit and fresh flowers, were exceptional. The contact with Heather and her daughter- in- law worked very well. And the garden was a delight- we saw a newt in the pond! We recommend the house without reservation.

  • "Wow what can I say!"

This house and the owner are amazing!! It was absolutely immaculate and really surpassed our expectations. The owner really went above and beyond for us, from the initial contact right through to actually meeting them at the house and after we left. We had everything we needed (and more) from towels to milk, bread, fresh fruit, tea and coffee etc....really far more than we would have expected. The location was perfect, shop and food places right next door and only took 10mins for us to get to our punting station. If you are thinking about booking don't delay, I would 100% recommend this lovely house. We are already talking about coming back next year

Thank you for taking the time to make a lovely comment, it is very much appreciated. So pleased you enjoyed the house and Cambridge. Great to hear you may be returning in the future. Property Owner

  • "I have already informed the owner of the horrendous stay that we had."

Massive road works taking over the whole road and huge vehicles with reverse beeb alarms working till 4am banging and thumping road rollers that literally made the house shake. Ownercand Sykes should have told us that this huge undertaking was underway. Very minor issues too, the bins were all over flowing and had not been emptied for sometime, fruit left in fruit bowl was rotten, a number of lamp light bulbs were missing , very few appliance manuals. Do not trust this owner or this firm

Thank you for your feedback. Firstly, we are sorry to hear that you found the roadworks to be disruptive. Roadworks can take place occasionally and have been over the past few years, however neither we nor Sykes were aware that there would be any roadworks taking place during your stay. Retrospectively, we have discovered that the work should have finished by 12am, so it is truly unfortunate that this happened to you. We can confirm that the bins were not overflowing, however we would like to reassure you that any other minor issues you have mentioned have been taken on board, and any areas of concern will be rectified fully for any future guests. Thank you again for your comments. Property Owner
