  • "We had a great stay, the premises were very clean and provided everything we needed."

Really enjoyed the hot tub. The single beds not really suitable for adults, so I slept on bed-settee. Some local tourist information would’ve been useful. There were only 3 dinner plates Great value for money, thank you

kitchen sparse, gas cooker unreliable (cooking takes much longer than usual). beautifully peaceful! no bars, shops nearby, so take everything with you. loved the hot tub which was clean, and hot!!!

  • "This was a lovely well maintained property in an extremely peaceful location (literally not a sound at night)."

There was enough to keep the children occupied although some were a bit of a drive. Emma the owner was great at letting us know what was going on during an area power cut on the first night and topped up the hot tub without having to be asked half way through the week. The guy in charge of the Ski School Greg was very helpful and accommodating to fit in my girls for a fast tow on an inflatable which they loved. Shame they don’t do other watersports there as it would be perfect. All in all a good place to stay !

  • "The caravan was clean and well maintained."

There was a shortage of cooking equipment e.g. no frying pan, no grill pan and no oven dishes. The previous occupants had not washed the crockery and cutlery, but this is not the owners responsibility and is merely an observation as every item had to be washed before use. The owner was extremely friendly and quickly dealt with a broken vacuum cleaner. As the weather was not good we spent much of our time in the caravan and found it very comfortable.

The water skies are entertaining plenty of birds to watch or listen to cuckoo and woodpecker if you quiet the deer sneaks about and watch you hot tub is nice and relaxing if you use What 3 words = dusters.barstool.shrimps this will take you to the gateway of the site then its on your left

  • "We had a lovely time staying here, the property was spacious and clean."

With a hot tub. The first day we were there the gas actually ran out mid shower, and whilst we were cooking, which was a complete nightmare! After some time we realised what it was and my partner managed to figure out how to change the gas bottle. We did report this and the next day had spoken to the owner who was very apologetic. They also came out to check everything was working properly and also check the hot tub. It was nice having a lake on the front door, However their facilities are quite run down and in need of a refurb! The weather unfortunately wasn’t that kind to us which was disappointing as apart from walks and the scenery, there isn’t much to do there. The nearest shop is an 18 minute drive away. Overall we had a nice stay, it was a quiet and peaceful location, it was really nice to chill and unwind. Thank you

  • "Absolutely lovely stay - a little difficult to find as no sat nav seems to recognise it."

Absolutely silent at night, and lovely to be watching the jet skis during the day. Nearest shop is about 15 minutes drive but very limited in supply - supermarket is kings lynn so a bit of a trek. Pub is available up the road. jacuzzi and privacy shade (that was not really needed!) and gazebo cover essentially made the jacuzzi all-weather, which was a spectacular experience. supplied goods include all the essentials (washing up liquid, saucepans, frying pan, bleach, shower cleaner, etc, etc, etc). Only request would have been for a hoover as there was some dirt we couldn't clean otherwise! now i know where it is, it is easy to get back to, and will definitely want to be returning.

  • "Lovely lodge overlooking a large lake."

Very peaceful to stay, the lodge and hot tub made the stay more inviting. Not a great deal on the site, but lovely countryside walks around the area. Ideal to visit the many places in North Norfolk. Probably a lot busier in the Summer when there is water ski ing on the adjacent lake. Although their facilities look old and worn. A nice club house, although small felt a bit like an old cricket club. They did have a singer on the Saturday night but we did not attend even though we could hear in the distance but it was not a problem. Would recommend to someone who wants a nice quiet break and to be in that area to visit Norfolk. Fishing is on site but you have to walk around to another lake. Nice approachable owners.

Lovely clean, comfortable and well-equipped holiday home, with a lovely welcome visit from the owner at the beginning of our week, to answer any queries/show us how to use the hot tub. Nice friendly bar on site and good to see a few people out enjoying water skiing/kayaking on the lake, which is just feet from the front patio/deck area.

Ants on food preparation surfaces? Absolutely not acceptable. Needless to say, although booked for 3 nights, we did not stay at all but came straight home. The owner refuses to give any compensation and Sykes have been no help at all, even having the cheek to offer us £40 off a future booking. We shall not be taking this up.

I’m sorry you felt this way about a couple of ants and a fly that flew in. As the property is situated on a county lake you can often see some flys ants and wildlife. Once again sorry Emma Property Owner

  • "This was a lovely place to stay right on the lake."

It is peaceful and tranquil- off the ‘beaten track’ but within easy reach of Kings Lynn and a bit further afield places such as Hunstanton, Wells-by-the-sea etc. This property is near the entrance gate but not at all noisy. We used this as a base to visit family so didn’t venture further into the site so can’t comment on any of the facilities mentioned. The owner was really friendly and helpful and the property is tastefully furnished with everything you need. There was plenty of crockery, utensils, cleaning materials, and a nice clean cooker and microwave. Plenty of bedding and towels and a full length mirror in the main bedroom (something often sadly lacking in a lot of the properties we have previously stayed in). There is an internet TV and DVD player too. I’d suggest bringing a few essentials food and drink-wise as there isn’t a shop close by (at least not that we found). We would definitely return!

Thank you so much for your positive feedback, sorry for the lack of direction's, this is due to the site locking the gate in between the main site and the ski club for the summer. We are in the process of adding the directions to the Sykes web site for future guest's. Property Owner

lovely and peaceful even with the water skiers. It was a very nice site with a lot of friendly people. The only problem we found was the size of the bed.
