• "Very warm welcome."

  The major of the property was comfortable, the bathroom was far too small, the shower almost unusable, you needed to be a contortionist to use the toilet, which was not effectivly segregated from the kitchen- the only door directly into the kitchen was a sliding door . Upstairs,the majority of the space was unusable, due to the sloping roof. This was not emphasized in the description. Unfortunately, we wouldn't stay here again, or recommend the property to others.

• "We had a wonderful week staying here."

  The location was perfect, we visited Wimpole, Anglesey Abbey, Wicken Fen and had lots of nice walks in Cambridgeshire. The cottage was exactly as we expected from the listing and photos. It was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners were next door and were friendly and helpful. We would happily stay here again.

  The owners were prompt in responding to any need we had and went beyond expectations to help us with information and help with special needs we had for our dog. The nearby walking paths were lovely. The limitations of the cottage were mentioned in earlier reviews

• "Lovely property and in a lovely village location with plenty of amenities close by ( nice pubs, shops, take away etc)."

  Really good dog walks on the doorstep. Hosts were welcoming ( chocolates a lovely touch) but left you to your own devices. The paddock for the dog was nice but as it’s not securely gated we had to keep our little one on the lead and would be nice to have a secure area by the front door so you could just let them out and use the seated area without keeping them on the lead. We only noticed the issue about head height from reviews post booking, not an issue for me but my partner is over 6ft so he had a slightly bruised forehead. The weather was not on our side but overall a lovely place to stay and the accommodation would cater for mostly all needs and would book again if we were heading back to the area.

  It has all the facilities needed at a very reasonable price. Fulwood is a lovely village, with good shops and two pubs.

• "Unusual studio apartment, at the side and over garages."

  Well equipped kitchen and nicely furnished. Hosts were very friendly. Dog walks in woods very close to apartment. Regular buses into Addenbrooks/Cambridge from the village. Good food at the Six Bells in the village but don’t be in a hurry as service is rather slow.

• "Great location."

  Very easy to get to Cambridge using 'Park and Ride' and near lots of National Trust properties. Very easy to park at the property. Downside, as we anticipated from the photos, is that the property is very small with steep angled ceiling on the 1st floor giving limited area in which you can stand up straight. We did bang our heads a few times. Although there were 2 room fans, it was very hot, as only 1 window opens in the property. The shower and toilet downstairs under the stairs is also small.

  Sorry to hear you banged your head. There were actually 3 fans and 4 windows that open in the studio. It is unfortunate that we all suffer from the extremely hot weather at times. Property Owner

• "Although in a perfect location for what we needed, the facilities were a little challenging."

  The shower room downstairs was tiny. Very difficult to wash and dress in there. The other facilities were fine. Bed was comfy, sofas were comfy and the owners were very nice. The space for the dog to runaround in was beautiful and was a real pleasure to take advantage of.

  They gave us good tips and had many informations about the area. Also they had a nice library , a TV and a DVD Player. The bathroom was small but the kitchen was new and modern and we found everything in it we needed. The surroundings were very beautiful. We loved it.

• "We loved The Studio."

  Private and comfortable, and central to Fulbourn with walks for dog owners and their dogs! and Cambridge to explore only 20mins away. Surrounded by fields and good views through the dormers. The place was warm with underfloor heating despite frost mornings. The Coop nearby guaranteed supplies and a large Tesco only 10 minutes drive away enhanced choice. The kitchen had all you needed and the washing machine a really useful addition. The bathroom was clean and functional with shower and basin. The open living allowed a comfortable stay and there was plenty of seating, table and chairs, TV, and library divider if you didn’t bring your own books. Park and ride nearby because parking costs are horrendous in the central city. All in all a very relaxing and hassle free week was had at the Studio. Would book again. Elaine and Geoff were friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome from arrival to departure. Thank you.

• "We had a good welcome and the property is in a lovely area and we greatly enjoyed the local walks."

  We had good weather and ate outside most of the time. My husband, who is about 6ft , found the limited headroom upstairs a little awkward. The property was well appointed and furnished with all you needed.

• "The Studio provided us with an excellent base for exploring the area of the Cambridge Fens and local towns / cities such as Cambridge , Ely , Bury St Edmunds and the smaller villages using mostly well marked paths across farmland and through nature reserves."

  The studio is small but cosy with a comfortable bed and sofas. The upstairs lounge area and bedroom has sloping walls/ ceilings which for anyone who is taller than average could be an issue. Apart from that it had everything needed for a relaxing break. The local Co op and takeaways as well as 3 pubs in the village gave us plenty of choice for eating in the evenings after days spent exploring on foot or by car. I would recommend this property and would book again if we revisited the area.

• "This is a cute and cosy place to stay, and the hosts are fabulous."

  You are right near a nature reserve - literally on your doorstep. I had two dogs, and it was winter, so we were muddy guests, but the host couldn't have been more accommodating. Fulbourn is a quintessential English village with so many beautiful walks and attractions on your doorstep. Plus, Cambridge City is only a quick drive or park and drive away. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Thank you so much!!

• "Excellent Cottage in an Excellent area for touring the local villages and Cambridge."

  Supermarket a couple of miles away as well as a small local market in village. All facilities in cottage for home cooking. Friendly hosts who let you get on with your holiday.Ely,St ives and other visitor attraction easy to reach by car. The walk from Granchester Meadows into Cambridge is fantastic and takes about 40 mins.

• "The Studio was a great venue for our needs."

  We were in the area visiting an elderly relative and so required a place for a few nights stay that was comfortable but also value for money. The studio was cosy, warm (we loved the under-floor heating) and well equipped. The owner Elaine was very friendly and helpful. The local nature reserve fenland area was perfect for walking our dog and the village of Fulbourn was in walking distance with handy shops and pubs. We would definitely book again.

  The cottage is warm and comfortable and the owners are very friendly and helpful, thank-you Elaine and Geoff. There are many walks very near and the main routes are easily accessible for traveling around the Cambridgeshire attractions making it a perfect choice for holidays in this area.

• "The Studio is quite small & compact but the upstairs living area would not suit tall people!"

  It suited our needs and I loved the surroundings & gardens. It was perfect for our trip to Duxford air show and there are good walks at the end of the lane. We had a lovely peaceful week, the owners were very friendly & helpful and we would definitely return.

• "This property has surely not been inspected?"

  Only toilet is 1.5 metres from cooker, behind sliding door that wouldn’t close, let alone lock. Sink in loo too small to wash face in. Equipment in kitchen cast-offs... odd glasses ( not all x2), one egg cup, one cup size battered cafetière etc. Weeds growing on patio. Location good, but never “ romantic “! Have 2 further bookings with Sykes in 2018. Hoping for so much better.......
