  • "Lovely spacious property for us 2 adults and a dog, clean and well furnished and equipped but was lacking a hairdryer."

As we visited early October the park was very quiet which we enjoyed, but I suspect it could get very busy during the summer months.

  • "We enjoyed our stay and it was very relaxing."

We had everything there that we needed and it was nice and clean. It is in a good location for visiting places, Oakham less than 10 minutes and we used the trains from there, Rutland Water and Melton Mowbray nearby too. It was good for us as we were catching up with families in the area .

Thank-you for your lovely review, so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us Property Owner

  • "It was a, lovely comfortable caravan."

We missed a mirror in the bedrooms, but overall it was lovely. We would of liked a club house, but obviously we knew there wasn't one there so just went out daily in the car. We walked to the local town which was nice.

Thankyou for your kind review, A mirror would be a good idea, pleased you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Tghe lodge was clean & well furnished but we copuldn`t get the heating on so the bedroos & bathrooms were cold in the evening."

The following day managed to fimd a man who assisted us and got one bedroom& the bathrooms heating on. The lounge never came on but there wax agas fire in that room. Also no instructions books about how to operate it or anything else as is usually rovided.

Thank you kindly for leaving us feedback. I can only apologise for the lack of information available for you. We have recently had a new boiler fitted, so I'm not sure what the problem could have been. We have since had it serviced to ensure there will be no issues with it going forward. Property Owner

  • "The property was alright but could have been much better if more pans and cooking utensils had been provided."

Unusually for a holiday home, there was no information on how to use any of the appliances in the kitchen or about the local area. Sykes information stated that there was a king sized bed which turned out to be only a double. A gas fire was also advertised but was not present.

Thank you kindly for leaving us feedback, and thank you for bringing it to our attention that it is, in fact, a double bed. We will have this amended in our description. We will also leave some more information regarding the appliances, and the local area, for future guests. However, I must note, there is still a gas fire in the lounge, as per the photo in our listing. Property Owner

  • "Leaving a 4-star review, really enjoyed our time here."

Great location and this is a huge static caravan with everything you could possibly need / want, including a couple of walk in wardrobes! We will definitely return, and are even considering purchasing something in the local area, it had a very positive impact on us. Whilst there was a lot of things that amazed us, I thought there were other areas of the experience that could definitely be improved upon, hence having to drop the 1-star. - I didn't feel connected to the owner whilst we were staying here. More specifically, we hadn't visited the area before and there was no local information made available about the area, or any kind of guide that had been left for us. It's always nice to have be given recommendations on what there is to do and see in the local area. A simple folder with local attractions would have been a nice touch - Or a personalised contact / email ahead of the booking. - Additionally to the above, and having spoken to a lot of the the local business owners on our trip, there is huge opportunity in affiliating with them to generate some local trade with holiday makers, and including in aforementioned "guide". The local Wheatsheaf pub is a prime example of this, something I recommend the owner to explore. Essentially, assume everybody is new to the area and this is your opportunity, as the facility owner, to give your impression and vision of Langham and the surrounding attractions. Oakham for example, is absolutely stunning and worth 1/2 - 1 full day exclusively. - Although the property is finished to a good overall condition, I think the master bed could do with a little attention. The only way I could accurately describe the experience, was like a waterbed. Any movement on one side of the bed would affect the opposite end of it, so any movement at all will disturb anybody else sharing the bed. - 4x people included on the booking, but only 3x full size towels provided. Small one, but had been overlooked. Tried to contact but phone number just rang out - No other support details were left, so we just had to accept it. - Very small one, but worth a mention - we had bin bags, but no bin carcass to put them in, so had to kind of hang it from the cupboard doors. Manageable but really there should be a bin provided. These items didn't deter us from our stay and overall we were very happy. Hope the owner takes the feedback constructively in the way that it was meant. Very minor adjustments, for what I feel will be a major gain to your guests.

Thank you so much for your kind feedback. I completely agree that the local area needs to be included more in the information provided at the lodge. We will add a little more information, going forward. We have also taken on board the issues you mentioned regarding towels and the kitchen bin and will aim to improve on this for future guests. We're glad you enjoyed your holiday, and hope to have you back in the future. Property Owner
