  • "We stayed here whilst helping a family member move to Liverpool and this served the purpose well, as we needed 3 bedrooms and 3 parking spaces (and 3 cars fitted on the drive even with the owner’s Mini being parked there."

) It’s spacious, in a nice area, was clean and was good value. However, it could be so much nicer if a few maintenance issues were sorted, some furniture was updated and a few more homely touches were added. The upstairs toilet flush broke whilst we were there too, as others have experienced, so we had to use the downstairs one only. The garden furniture is tatty and needs replacing or repainting so we didn’t want to use it. Some of the other furniture is past its best too. The wardrobes we could use were a bit messy and had random stuff in (you can’t use the wardrobe in the main bedroom as it’s locked.) In my opinion it felt very magnolia, bland and a bit bare in places, not as cosy as it could be- which is a shame as it’s a lovely house.

  • "The property was poorly equipped in things like number of bowls."

There was no cupboard space for storing food in the kitchen. The upstairs toilet kept breaking and looking at reviews this had been the case for a while and hadn’t been fixed. When we arrived there were two cars parked on the drive. On the whole the property was fine, but is not really set up to be a holiday cottage. There was no tourist information about the local area for example. We would not stay here again

  • "Absolutely perfect for us to visit family on the Wirral."

Spotlessly clean. Comfortable. Only very small gripe was there was no rubber mat for the bath/shower as I am always super cautious when getting in and out of the bath that I don't slip and a mat would have helped. Garden was very secure for our dogs. Have already booked again for September and will continue to book this property when travelling to the Wirral.

  • "Lovely place clean comfortable only criticism is obviously the owner lives there part of the time and master bedroom wardrobe is locked off for owners use."

Could have been a problem if there had been 5 of us staying. Downstairs cupboard locked off so nowhere to store hoover ironing board airer and iron . Hoover was actually left on display in living room and ironing board airer and iron were on display in conservatory. No cupboards to store groceries. Great place explore the Wirral.

  • "Some kitchen equipment needs replacing."

Need to check bathroom toilet mechanism difficult to stop running. Other than the above a comfortable and convenient place to stay.

  • "The property is comfortable and very spacious, and had every thing we needed."

The central heating is Hot Hot Hot, despite the snow and frost the home is very warm. Great location, easy access to Liverpool, Chester and North Wales. Thanks for letting us stay.

  • "The house was a perfect base to visit family without having to stay in a hotel."

The house was lovely & clean, the kitchen is well equipped & bedding & towels were provided. Will definitely stay there again next time we visit family as you have so much more feeedom compared to staying in a hotel which is what we wanted.

  • "We are having building work done on our house so needed to find somewhere close by to stay."

11 Overdale was perfect for us it is a shame we couldn’t have booked it for longer. The house was clean and beds were comfy. It had nearly everything you need. We will probably need to rebook as our building works are still ongoing. The only thing that let it down was the dirty grill and trays that had been left in the oven and grill but I cleaned these quickly. We also couldn’t get the induction hob to work. An ironing board would have been great as there was 5 of us so it was difficult having to iron on the floor.

Hi, thanks for feedback, I will leave instructions for the induction hob, It has been tested and does work, not sure why the oven trays were missed for cleaning . Also need to leave a note at the property that the ironing board is stored behind the couch . Glad everything else was ok and hope to see you again soon Property Owner

  • "A comfy stay."

Well equipped house with plenty of space in all rooms. Just a slight niggle in that we couldn't get out the back way as when we tried to leave the front door locked with our adult daughter in the house and exit through the back, the gate was padlocked so had to abandon that. A spare front door key would have been very welcome. Had to get spare loo roll in case ran out. BUT we would certainly stay again as all in all it was very good.

Hi Micheal, glad you enjoyed the stay. There should have been a key for the padlock labelled “back gate” hanging up in the kitchen, it’s padlocked from the driveway side so the gardener and koi pond maintenance guys can gain entry and no disturb anyone. I will get an extra front door key in the lock box and check the back gate key is there. Hope you come stay again, thank you Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay."

The house was clean and tidy and smelled beautiful as we walked in. Living room furniture was great and the TV worked. The kitchen was well equipped, however we had a problem with the hob: could't get it to work. We must have read the instructions 5 times each but still no joy. The conservatory was pleasant to relax in and we watched squirrels running around the garden. The beds were comfortable and bedrooms roomy. The bathroom was spacious and the shower worked well. (A hand rail and a bath mat would come in handy) The down stairs toilet was a nice little number. There was a Mini Cooper on the front parking space, at first we thought someone else was there. It wasn't a problem as there was plenty of room. We would certainly recommend this property.

I have now left instructions for the induction hob, it does work, but it takes a little getting used to . The Mini Cooper is my car I leave there whilst I’m out of the country, glad you enjoyed your stay, hope your come and stay again Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay here."

It was clean, tidy and roomy. So thank you. Just a few things to mention which would benefit you for a 10/10 rating . 1) Alexa was not plugged in so therfore couldn't ask for the heating on as in the description. Not a big issue as could use the panel. Maybe edit the description! 2) Couldn't use the washing machine as it was in a cupboard and had no access to the draw to fill with powder etc as the worktop covered it so could not be used correctly. 3) kettle leaking 4) Electric tripped when oven and dishwasher was in use 5) Shower panel needs attention as could cause possible leaks due to water running underneath and you wouldn't want that so had to use a towel on the floor to protect 6) The bedroom advised with tele does not work and has no ariel, really annoying as couldn't watch anything when led in bed. 7) No recycling bin or was labelled to put rubbish in correctly. After saying all of this we enjoyed our stay here and looked after this as we would we our own. We left it as we found it and therefore you would of been happy on your return. Thanks for a smooth and easy process.

Hi, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay at the property. You were my first guests after a full remodel. The electrician has been round and plugged aerial into tv in bedroom and changed breaker for cooker, he also found Alexa hiding in the cupboard so has plugged her in. We have purchased new kettle and the plumber will be taking a look at the shower screen. The washing machine soap draw needs removing to fill up, I will leave a note to explain this to future guests. Many thanks for choosing this property for your stay, and hope to see you back soon Property Owner
