"The property is in the perfect location, it's just a short stroll from the racecourse and town centre with it's various bars and restaurants, the riverside and canal are also within easy reach and are a lovely walk, and lastly the city walls can be found about 40yds from the apartment."
Chester is also the perfect place to go exploring North Wales and is only a 15min drive to Cheshire Oaks which is the biggest designer outlet in Britain. The apartment is a little hard to find if following Sat Nav, I had to stop and reread the directions, parking space was great and easy to manoeuvre in and out of, the entrance to the apartment is very tight and steep, not sure I would get a medium suitcase up them as I struggled with a small one but once in the apartment is very well equipped with everything you need and more, the bathroom had shower over the bath, the bed was comfortable, pillows needed a little jigging about for me but got there, the kitchen had mostly everything you're likely to have at home, the living room had lots of seating and a dining table, the tv and radio worked perfectly fine with no issues. Apartment 4a turned into a little quiet retreat for me in the evenings and a place to go and explore in the daytime, I had a great 5 day break and would highly recommend this place.
Many thanks for taking the time to give feedback, that is greatly appreciated. I am delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

"What a great find this apartment was!"
We couldn’t fault anything, easy to find, brilliant location for the city, excellent facilities. Having your own parking place a real plus. Would definitely stay again.
Thank you for the positive feedback and for choosing to stay at City Cottages. Merry Christmas Property Owner

"The flat is perfect for a break in Chester."
Just a 10 minute walk into the city but at he same time quiet and secluded. Having secure off road parking place was great. The flat was also comfortable and very well equipped. The wifi was reliable and fast. We ate in often so I found the kitchen was adequate for cooking and preparing our meals. It’s right close to the racecourse which means convenient to connect to major routes and the traffic fairly minimal in terms of congestion.

"Next time please provide more capsules for the coffee machine, kitchen towel, toilet paper."
The coffee machine is very specialised and capsules are only available online. Other consumables mentioned above are necessities and really should be included in short term lets.
Thank you for the feedback Neil, appreciated. I will discuss this with the cleaning company Kind regards Rebecca Property Owner

"Bathroom would be improved by changing the existing bath for a shower, which would give much more room to properly use the wc and basin, as the room currently is very tight."
Also mention the dogleg on the narrow stairs which makes access challenging with bags and luggage. Otherwise property was comfortable.
Thank you for your feedback. When we next do a refit we will bear this in mind. We do have a downstairs apartment 4B which whilst having a bath with an overhead shower is on the ground floor. We can also offer the upstairs apartment we a second bedroom with en-suite shower room Property Owner

"Lovely place to stay , very central to the town ,but very quiet , very clean flat ,with everything you need , Chester has lots of restaurants and we walked to several from the flat , you don,t need to use your car at night as the choice is very good."
. It was a little bit awkward getting the case upstairs , but we managed. All in all it was a great stay that we both enjoyed.

"Brilliant location."
The only negatives were that the stairs up to the property were very narrow and steep. Also the leather settees, although looking good, were not that comfortable.

Where you’ll be staying
CHESTER
Liverpool 17 miles; Manchester 36 miles.
Chester has quite rightly been described as 'the jewel of the North-West of England'. Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of the city is that within a very small area there is evidence of every period of history - from the old walls and amphitheatre of Roman times, through medieval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses and Georgian terraces, to Victorian restorations and 21st century architecture. The city has much to offer the tourist, including excellent shopping in and around the famous Tudor 'Rows' and lovely walks along the Roman Walls, beside the River Dee and through the picturesque Grosvenor Park. Explore Chester's beautiful medieval cathedral, visit Chester Racecourse or spend a day at the world renowned Chester Zoo. Further afield, the stunning Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral Peninsula with its first class golf courses, are all within easy touring distance, whilst frequent rail services make Liverpool, Manchester and the North Wales coast readily accessible.
