  • "On the positive side, the ample space in this property is immediately noticeable, providing plenty of room to spread out and relax."

The lovely grounds are a true highlight. It is in a wonderful location with plenty of places to visit nearby and two lovely pubs (Cross Foxes walking distance and our favourite, the Boat at Erbistock, a 10 minute drive away). The sitting room space is ample and the kitchen has everything you need. However, the comfort level takes a hit when it comes to the sleeping arrangements. The king-size beds were unfortunately extremely uncomfortable, which significantly impacted the quality of sleep during our stay. Another extreme inconvenience is the limited bathroom facilities. With only one shower available, our large group found themselves facing a morning bottleneck. In summary, if these two important issues were addressed, this property would be perfect.

I am glad you thought the house was spacious and you were able to spread out and relax. I am sorry you felt the beds were uncomfortable. With regard to the bathrooms we do put in the property details that there is 1 walk in shower in the en-suite along with a bath, and a bath in the 2nd bathroom (which has a handheld shower) Best wishes Claire and Robin Property Owner

Great food, staff very friendly and we joined in on one of their quiz nights. We loved the area and would definitely recommend Ty Bont and would love to return. Thank you. The grounds are really nice and the large hot tub was a big hit with everyone. It is in a good location as there are many popular towns and landmarks within a short driving distance. There is a pub within 5 minutes walking distance and the food is great and it is dog friendly. Claire answered my text questions promptly & accurately which was very useful. The cottage was safe, warm & welcoming at all times & luckily for us not a hint of doggie guests beforehand. The hot tub was used daily by the younger members of the family, unfortunately it was too cold at the time to make use of the excellent games room. The kitchen was large & well equipped, if a little cold at times, but as you move further into the beautiful cottage it gets warmer. We would definitely return to this fantastic cottage. Thank you Claire & Robin.

The property is well equipped, tastefully presented and is very spacious for a family of 8. Two double bedrooms downstairs and two upstairs. One of the bedrooms upstairs has a 4 piece en-suite bathroom. There is one other bathroom upstairs and one downstairs wc. Everywhere was clean and tidy, the bed's were comfortable and the kitchen/dining room was the perfect size for everyone to sit together. The hot tub was amazing and we used it every night as was the games room. Our son who is blind absolutely loved the pool table, it's now his favourite thing to do. There was a second fridge in the games room which came in really handy as we had a large food shop delivered. The cottage was large enough for us to have some space of our own as we were a family of 4 generations with 3 dogs and it did get noisy at times

Gorgeous cottage, everything was the best quality, a real home from home. The beds where so comfortable, we even checked where the sheets were from to go purchase them ourselves. We loved sitting around the fire after an evening in the hot tub. The cottage was fenced off so my small dog could wander and felt secure. 6 adults and two children stayed and there was plenty of space, the hot tub and games room where a real added bonus. We mentioned the trip was for my mums birthday and left was Prosecco, chocolate, flowers. There was also bread, tea and coffee. The area was fab, felt secluded and private but was within walking distance of a village and a lovely pub. Couldn’t fault it, would love to come back. Thanks for having us!
