  • "We had a wonderful stay."

The house had everything we needed. lovely walks from the door both inland and along the SW coastal path. Great snacks and drinks at local beach cafes. Great food at Morwen Smith pub, Swanpool restaurant and Indidog in Falmouth. Lovely days out at Falmouth Castle, Glendurgan and ferry to Flushing. Only a few steps to the indoor swimming pool. And comfy do nothing day when the weather wasn't so good. No idea if tele worked, we didn't switch it on as we had taken a mound of books and a radio was supplied. Hadn't taken beach towels which would have been good as none available at the pool

  • "We had a lovely stay at Pine Cottage, it was our second time staying there."

The house is perfect for our needs as a family of 5 with young children. The location is perfect, the pool is fab and lots of outdoor space to run around in. The cottage is spacious and clean and has lots of things already there eg washing up liquid, hand soap and loo rolls. There wasn’t a BBQ- we asked ahead and was told there would be (it was there last time we stayed), so be aware it isn’t there now. We bought a mini one and that worked fine for our stay. The beach is close and perfect for kids. We definitely hope to stay a third time in the future as can’t fault it really.

  • "This is a fabulous place to stay."

Spotlessly clean, great location and you've thought of nearly everything. To make it a 5*+ may I make a couple of suggestions..... 1) both showers need somewhere to place your shampoo and soap etc whilst in there. 2) I couldn't fathom out the upstairs shower to make it warm enough, it might be me but downstairs is the same design and this was hot and perfect. 3) perhaps thinner duvets in the hotter months, I was too warm under the 10.5 tog, and put a blanket or two in the airing cupboard in case maybe? That's it though, not complaining. Thank you for the milk, flowers and wine, lovely touch. Thank you again for one of our most favourite weeks.

Thank you for your excellent review. I'm sorry you had a problem with the upstairs shower and I will investigate. We will take on board your other comments which are most welcome. Property Owner

  • "This s our second stay at pine cottage."

When we arrived it was very clean and had everything we needed. The location is wonderful and the facilities were great. The only complaint we had was the double bed is really uncomfortable and could do with a new mattress. Also the TV is very outdated and we wondered why it hasn’t been replaced with a smart TV? They aren’t expensive anymore and people can log into their own Netflix accounts. No one uses a DVD player anymore!! Apart from that we had a lovely stay

Smart TV now provided as well as DVD player. Property Owner

  • "Lovely spacious cottage, well equipped kitchen."

But some of the dishes were dirty in the cupboard on arrival. Customers please ensure you clean your dishes well before leaving the property. Fridge playing up a bit but this is being sorted by the management company. Seating very comfortable. Please purchase new duvets and pillows as they were heavily stained on stripping the beds. DVD great if it worked. This is being resolved I understand with the purchase of a smart TV. Excellent communication with owner and management company. On-site facilities great apart from pool which needed a good clean - lots of hair and debris floating! Would highly recommend cottage.

We stayed for 5 days. The weather was amazing! The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The swimming pool and jacuzzi was great. The neighbourhood was quite and peaceful just what we needed. The beach is just 3 mins walk. Great beach! All attractions are within short drive. It is also a great place for families with kids. Will definitely return again!

The house was quiet and peaceful and very comfortable and clean. The house is more spacious than I expected from the photos and we were very comfortable with two adults and three big children children staying here.

  • "The holiday cottage itself was perfect."

Clean, cozy and very warm. They had thought of everything and leaving a bottle of wine, milk and flowers was a nice touch. The rooms were spacious and the cottage well kept. The site itself was lovely and facilities were good, however we were extremely disappointed that we weren't notified that both the cafe and restaurant were closed over half term for refurbishment. Given that we booked through Sykes and not directly with the owner I do think it was their responsibility to notify us. There was also no mention on the estates website. Coupled with the fact there wasn't a proper cafe at the beach due to an earlier fire (I appreciate this wasn't anyone's responsibility to tell us and must have been heartbreaking for the owners) but it was just a shame. Overall the cottage was excellent and had everything been open, the facilities and our Sykes experience would have been better.

  • "We had a wonderful week at Pine Cottage with our grand-."

Daughter. The cottage itself was precisely what we wanted and the flowers and wine on arrival were a lovely welcome touch. The site was beautiful if a little steep coming up from the beach. The swimming pool was a great bonus and was particularly appreciated by our grand-daughter. The location was good, being within easy distance of so many attractions - and fortunately the weather was kind to us. All in all we would recommend a holiday here.

  • "This was a beautiful Cottage and in excellent cleanliness and order throughout."

I could not recommend it highly enough. All needs in the kitchen and other rooms catered for. Enough cleaning materials to clean 10 cottages! Bathrooms & showers extremely good with temperatures set very easily particularly for the older generation. Lovely clean fluffy towels provided. Washing and Drying machine if inclined to use while on holiday. Wheel chair access very good and useful for loading and unloading very heavy suitcases. Beds particularly comfortable and plenty of hanging space for clothes. We found the night storage heating particularly good especially in early March when the weather this years was very cold. The Recreation facilities were closed which was a little disappointing as would have liked a morning swim but we were aware of this before booking. All in All a very pleasant stay and would certainly book again in the future as we found this little Gem not too far out of Falmouth the ideal for caring for ourselves in a home from home environment. Thank You Sykes Cottages it was such a memorable stay!
