  • "This is the third time we have stayed at the premises, the father in law booked the previous visits, and every time the place is spotless and well kept."

Minimal damage wear and tear over the years. The paintwork is still clean and fresh, as is the tilings and fixtures in the bathrooms. No mold or mildew or stained grout anywhere! Clean and crisp. The facilities are excellent. The host is lovely and helpful, Fresh eggs on site, lovely bits upon welcome( tea, coffee, sugar, cookies, washing up liquid, dishwasher tabs, scourers etc) , the kitchen is well stocked with enough cutlery and crockery and utensils for 8 people for a functionable holiday let property not a professionals chefs suite. People complaining about not having a colander or grater are being picky. The fridge freezer is a very decent size and the bonus of a washing machine helps! Great tv and WiFi. Depending on the proximity of where you’re sleeping, and how much of a deep sleeper you are, you may be woken by the cockerel in the morning. Take ear plugs if your a light delicate sleeper. The bedding and towels are clean and crisp. Overall excellent property in an excellent location and we will be returning in the future.

  • "Absolutely fantastic place to stay."

Only a short drive to Newquay. Very clean and plenty of space for big families. (There was 8 of us)

  • "Stables 1 offers spacious accommodation in a quiet rural area with easy road links to Cornwall towns and beaches."

What let’s it down is the quality of the facilities: Beds are very uncomfortable spring coils Very limited stock of crockery and cooking items Clothes airer is broken The extractors to the bathrooms do not work There are no hanging hooks on doors in bedrooms or bathrooms that would help to air/dry towels.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at the The Stables."

We were very impressed with the property, it was very homely, modern and we loved the stable theme throughout. We also found it was a great location with everything we wanted to visit within around an hour away. It was nice to be away from a main road with having a 2 and 4 year old, they loved the little garden. Would highly recommend.

  • "The property was very clean and had all the required items."

Water heater wasn't working but John quickly sorted this out. You can improve on the instructions about the water tap on/off location. Any changes on the settings of the electric shower was giving either hot or cold water. it took a while for us to figure out optimal settings as we are not used to electric shower. Not sure if you can do anything about this.

  • "First class holiday accommodation, spotlessly clean and everything you needed was supplied."

2nd year at this location, we were in a lodge last year, this year in Stall 1. Lots of room for all of us, 4 adults and 3 children. Would recommend to anyone, the only drawback was the height of the trees/shrubs at the front of the property could do with a trim as it affected how much sunlight got on the patio/picnic bench, but peaceful and just lovely. Thank you very much

  • "Nice accommodation, a bit basic but clean."

Could do with a shower mat in each bathroom and a full length mirror somewhere in the property. And in the kitchen a couple of extra utensils. A pair of scissors and a cheese grater.
