  • "The cottage was lovely and clean, it had everything you needed for a comfortable stay."

Bob and Stephanie were really helpful providing advice on local beaches, walks and good places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay and will be returning, we couldn't ask for better hosts or facilities.

  • "Fantastic location."

Lovely cottage. We had a slight issue with bed linen but it was soon sorted. Charlestown is a great place to visit. Good restaurants, do book first!

  • "The cottage itself was lovely, but unfortunately the we all found the beds really uncomfortable."

The only other problem was the hedge along side the path to the front door could do with cutting back. I personally caught my leg on thorns on two occasions. Also the grass in the back garden needed cutting. The length it was made it difficult picking up after the family dog.

  • "Excellent cottage in a superb location beautifully presented."

We have been coming to Charlestown for over 10 years and although it is a lot busier now with restaurants & pop up bars it hasn’t lost its original character. Parking can be an issue during the day but you can move your car nearer the cottage later in the evening. Highly recommend.

It wasn’t our first visit to lantern cottage and it won’t be our last. It has everything you need for a stay away and it felt like home

Close to harbour. Corner shops were nowhere near though, which seemed a little unusual.

Ideally located if you want to stay around Charlestown, Carloyn Bay with lots of different routes to walk. Alternatively if you want to get out and about its a short distance from Porthpean beach (great for paddleboarding), Lost Gardens of Helligan and so much more. Beautifully decorated, the cottage was thoroughly enjoyable to stay in. We loved it and hope to come back!

  • "Fantastic cottage - very clean and everything we needed for our break."

Our group was small, just the 2 of us and our dog and we were perfectly comfortable. The shower room is snug, and the stairs are steep so might not be suitable for those with limited mobility. The cottage is perfectly positioned within easy walking distance of the selection of amenities in Charlestown, and, whilst there is no dedicated parking, we never struggled to park in the on street parking outside the cottage (visited mid-end of Sept). Will return and highly recommend this property.
