Pristine condition and kitted out to the very highest standard. Perfect location with excellent access to the village with a very important feature of parking on the driveway. Every need was met and you could not even consider to “ look” for any faults or shortfalls. Will definitely be recommending this property to others.

"This is my fifth stay at Stop Tide, and I've already booked for 2025."
Why? Because this is simply the perfect house and base for exploring Cornwall.
The house has everything you could need, and more. And most importantly, has parking, and the beautiful Port Gaverne cove a matter of steps away.

"Excellent and comfy stay at Stoptide."
We stayed a few times in these cottages when Dennis Knight owned them so they have changed alot since then. Stayed at a property at Castle Rock since built but last year we decided as it needed a lot of TLC we would have a change. Glad we did and have already booked again for next year.

"Fab cottage."
Clean comfortable cosy & perfect location.
Please indicate where cutlery is to be found ? We spent first day in complete despair !! It’s hidden. Also needs one casserole dish with LID to put in oven for slow cooking. One larger pan might help too. Otherwise. All perfect !

The house is extremely clean, comfortable and really felt like a home from home. We enjoyed our walks up to Port Isaac and swimming at Port Gaverne. "This is my second visit to Stop Tide and definitely not my last."
This is the perfect holiday home - it has everything you need(including parking and a small garden), and all the extra touches make it very homely. The location is ideal for exploring locally (Port Issac and Port Gaverne), and further afield, such as St Michael's Mount.

"The property description is very good albeit a modern house and not a traditional cottage type property
It is located in very quiet spot."
There is a Hotel nearby which serves food advisable to book if you wish eat it gets busy.
No shops in sensible walking distance Coop in Port Isaac for groceries etc you need your car to drive up the hill into Port Isaac.
The property is maintained to a very high standard with all modern facilities. The only issue we noticed was the hot water system is very low in pressure you have to run the hot tap for quite awhile before the water gets hot. Not environmentally friendly such a waste of precious water. Perhaps a pump being installed would resolve this issue.

Thank you for your feedback following your holiday in Stop Tide.
We have tried to increase the water pressure but have been informed by our plumber that the boiler set up purposely limits the hot water flow for economy and environmental reasons to avoid wasting water. If is for this reason that we installed an electrical power shower and dishwasher.
I agree that walking to Port Isaac for a large shop would not be to everyone's liking, even though the scenery is outstanding, personally we have an online delivery from either Tesco or Sainsbury's and use the Port Isaac Co-op or Farm shop for the smaller items. If the short walk to Port Isaac is too much there is always the Tuk Tuk which goes from outside Pilchards to the Stargazy Inn.
We hope this answers your queries and that you will re-visit again in the future.

The property
In the beautiful cove of Port Gaverne, is the very desirable three-bedroomed holiday home Stop Tide.
Located just a short walk from Port Isaac’s harbour, and within easy reach of North Cornwall’s many attractions, this well-appointed and stylish property makes for a wonderful family base.
On the ground floor is a delightful open-plan living area, with a superb light grey kitchen, plus a spacious dining and sitting area - a wonderful social space to gather in as a group and plan your holiday activities, or to enjoy a relaxing meal together.
On the first floor are three tastefully furnished bedrooms, including a King-size double, a twin and a single, plus a family bathroom.
Doors off the living area lead out to a sublime sun terrace, with outdoor furniture and lighting, making this a great spot for an alfresco lunch or evening drinks in the Cornish sunshine.
Whilst Port Gaverne is literally ‘on the doorstep’ of Stop Tide, there are countless more coves peppering the coastline, just waiting to be explored.
Take to the South West Coast Path for mesmerising views and beaches aplenty, or jump in the car and journey to the likes of Polzeath 7 miles away.
Wadebridge is just 9 miles away, where you can browse the shops and walk the Camel Trail, before returning to Port Isaac for dinner in one of the fabulous restaurants, a short walk from your accommodation.

PORT ISAAC
Polzeath 6.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles
Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. There is ample parking at the top of the village and the village is a popular tourist destination with plenty of attractions including the dramatic Doyden Castle, the beautiful Lundy Bay and the famous Doc Martin's clinic. There are also plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village. Just a short drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike.
