The property

This well-presented bungalow affords off-road parking for two cars, a rarity in this coastal village, a ground-floor, open-plan living space, a spacious rear garden and a close proximity to the beach and local amenities: perfect for families or couples seeking a coastal retreat.

Cross the threshold into your new home-from-home and settle down in front of the Smart TV while the designated chef of the group rustles up home-cooked meals in the fully-equipped kitchen.

Gather around the dining table to tuck-in to your meal or step outside to delight in an alfresco affair, if the weather permits be sure to take advantage of the barbecue in the rear garden which is also the perfect spot for evening drinks.

When sleep calls, head inside for some well-earned rest in either the double or twin bedroom, both are furnished with plenty of storage and serviced by a sleek bathroom.

Suncroft lies paces away from the local convenience store, handy for easing your self-catered stay, it is also a short walk from The Golden Lion a wonderful, harbourside pub dating back to 1715 a great place to treat your loved ones to a special meal or celebratory drinks.

On a sunny day head to Port Gaverne Beach to enjoy breath-taking views across the sea, a spot of sunbathing or thrilling watersports.

Portwenn View, an observation deck in the village, affords expansive views over the sea and village; you may even spot some familiar sites as the TV show Doc Martin was filmed here.

Tintagel with its legendary ruins, supposedly the birthplace of King Arthur, is easily accessible by car and also houses Merlin’s Cave that overlooks the tranquil beach Tintagel Haven.

The harbour town of Padstow is a short scenic drive from Suncroft, be sure to explore The National Lobster Hatchery which runs tours and a variety of education activities before taking a leisurely stroll around the harbour and indulging in locally caught seafood at Rick Stein or The Seafood.

PORT ISAAC

Polzeath 6.5 miles; Padstow 16 miles

Port Isaac; one of the true Cornish treasures. A beautiful fishing village nestling in a steep sided valley, the old village in the valley remains unchanged from its days of fishing, slate export and smuggling in the previous century. An abundance of small character properties complemented by larger cliff-top retreats, can be found with easy access to the numerous restaurants and shops of the village. The sandy harbour provides an abundance of rock pools as the tide retreats. There is ample parking at the top of the village and the village is a popular tourist destination with plenty of attractions including the dramatic Doyden Castle, the beautiful Lundy Bay and the famous Doc Martin's clinic. There are also plenty of pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village. Just a short drive from the beaches of Polzeath, Daymer and Rock, it is perfect for romantic and family holidays alike.
