  • "The lodge was lovely, smart, comfortable and spotlessly clean."

The site was well run and well maintained with a lot of thought given to helping nature - lots of trees and hedges planted, and borders allowed to go to seed (whilst not looking untidy). The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful. The location is surrounded by countryside with amazing views - very peaceful. I would not hesitate to return.

The shop on site is very sparse

  • "Lovely lodge, lovely view."

Staff on site warm and friendly. Beds an issue, mattress’s on all the beds are cheap quality. Single mattress’s the springs can be felt, if you sat in the middle of the double it almost folds in half. Might be a good idea to check toilet brushes in both bathrooms they were very grim

  • "Lovely clean, comfortable property with everything you needed."

Friendly staff on site. 15 min walk to car ferry which ran frequently across to Fowey until 8.30ish in evening. Lots of restaurants to choose from in Fowey but needed to book meals early to catch last ferry. Water taxis are available but we didn't use them as called into the Ferry Inn on the quayside in Bodinnick for evening drink. Friendly staff with good choice of drinks and food. Lovely coastal walks from property with beautiful views. Loved our stay and hope to return again soon.

  • "The property was exactly as described, clean, comfortable & in the perfect area to travel to any of the touristy destinations."

The staff on site are very knowledgeable about the local area. Highly recommend going on the Bodinnick ferry over to Fowey if going out for the day in that area, cuts a big chunk of your travel time. As it was just my husband & myself visiting we didn't look a round the park fully so I can't comment if its suitable for younger families with children. Would we stay again at Penmarlam Lodge, definitely yes, it was spot on for us.

  • "Not what we would call luxury !"

Mattresses and bedding left a lot to be desired, problems with the kitchen tap and toilet. Described as pet free but books and photo's relating to dog ownership in the lodge and the site was dog friendly, most of the other lodges had them and they were walked around the site to do their business, not a nice sight when eating your breakfast. Sam, on reception was very friendly and helpful. A good place to stay for dog owners, unfortunately not for us.

  • "Lovely lodge, very modern and very clean, it all looked brand new."

The site was very well maintained and the staff we met were lovely. A little out the way from everything but a very short walk to the bodinick ferry to get over to Fowey. The lodge was well equipped, including milk and teabags waiting for us on arrival which is always a nice touch. One thing we would say is the beds could do with some mattress toppers, especially in the twin room, as you could really feel the springs when lying on it and could do with some improvement. Other than that, it was an amazing lodge and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Always cheerful and willing to pass the time of day with us. Having not stayed in a Lodge before we were delighted with the accommodation.

  • "All the site staff were polite, efficient and made us feel very welcome."

We had a wonderful stay. The lodge was spotless and little touches like the milk in the fridge, on arrival, were most welcomed. Only downfalls were , there was no mirror above dressing table and no shelving in bathroom for toiletries ( but that’s just me been picky
