  • "A beautiful cottage within peaceful surroundings with a sea view."

A perfect place to ‘ get away from the stress of every day life’. The cottage was spotless, cosy and comfortable. The welcome pack was most appreciated, after a long drive , so no need to find a supermarket on your first day. The food was excellent quality. We look forward to booking another break here in the future.

The welcome pack was exceptional and enabled us to not have to rush out for provisions until the next day. The views were awesome and Bonny? the dog very friendly. Perfect stay.

  • "Really loved our stay here."

We plan on coming back. The little village of Boscastle was right up our street. Friendly people and some nice places to have tea and cakes etc. Lots of great walking. Rugged terrain and steep hills which we love. Was really nice staying just outside the town and walking in every day. The cottage itself was warm and cozy. Bonnie was awesome. Wish we could have seen more of her. Lovely looking out the window and seeing the cows doing their thing. It is also a great base if you want to drive to other places around Cornwall.

  • "It was a lovely cottage in a beautiful setting."

Owners very friendly and when we arrived there was bread, milk, bacon as well as fresh scones and jam and clotted cream. We had a wonderful stay. Just a couple of small points- the quilts were in need of replacing as they are very lumpy. The upstairs toilet seat was almost coming off and you can't really use the shower attachment in the upstairs bathroom as it hardly comes out and is either burning hot or cold, the water won't mix. But there were lots of positives and we enjoyed our week.

The welcome hamper is just amazing with fresh ingredients from their farm shop. The cottage is spotless, beds are comfortable and home-from-home. Great location for exploring in Boscastle and fantastic views. We will be back next year.

  • "Having local Cornish cream tea ingredients and tea bags on arrival was a really nice welcome."

The property was clean and well furnished. The mattress on the double bed was very soft and so not very comfortable so would suggest upgrading to a much firmer mattress. I’d also suggest adding a pair of kitchen scissors to the cutlery drawer in the kitchen. Some of the windows were very stiff to open and could have the potential for injuring your back if you’re reaching over at the same time as trying to pull them open. I’d suggest oiling them or at least having a sign warning people that they’re stiff to open. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Home Farm Cottage and would recommend to friends and family. The views of the village and the coastline were stunning.

Sadly the weather was not good and we found the cottage a bit cold during the daytime when we couldn't go out because of the bad weather. However, it was toasty warm in the mornings and evenings when the heating was programmed to come on which was the main thing.

The Views over the countryside and sea are amazing, the cottage was cosy and snug and equipped with everything we needed. The hospitality from the owners was great and we loved having their dog Bonnie come and greet us everyday. The welcome pack was an added bonus and much appreciated. We can't wait to return.

Well provisioned with all the equipment needed for a modern self caterer! The Welcome gift in the Fridge was most appreciated of course. Then we get to the real highlight the greeting from Beautiful Bonnie! Very friendly and adorable Collie.

The welcome pack was very well received. The beds were very comfortable. Robin came to see if we needed anything when we had a power cut due to storm Eunice! Bonny the farm dog is lovely friendly and likes having a good old fuss.

  • "We stayed for one week in Home Farm Cottage."

It was absolutely lovely - beautifully decorated and a perfect base for our holiday. The bedrooms are 'compact' but not a surprise when staying in an older cottage and did not detract from our stay in any way. The location is perfect, just on the edge of Boscastle, and within easy reach of the other places we wanted to visit. We were appreciative of the wonderful Cornish Cream tea and welcome pack on arrival and Jackie was really helpful with local information. We loved the stunning scenery from the coastal paths. We enjoyed dinner at the Cobweb Inn, fish and chips from Sharon's Plaice, both in Boscastle and a lovely breakfast at the Boscastle Farm Shop & Cafe. Would definitely recommend Home Farm Cottage and would be happy to stay there again.

  • "The cottage is very much as described, The bedrooms was a little tight to get around the beds, due to beds near the old fire place."

Having said that they were very comfortable. A lovely welcome pack was waiting for us when we arrived. the sea views are all around, It was lovely to be able to do the washing and drying, so I didn't have much when I got home. A small freezer which is handy for a few days supplies. The farm also owns a farm shop and cafe, highly recommend, great choice for lunch.

  • "A poor start to our holiday."

The directions were very poor with 1:30 spent driving around Boscastle trying to find the farm. The sign was not attached to the entrance to the property but thrown in a hedge. We tried to call the numbers provided multiple times but no response. We left answer phone messages but no response and a preset message of no use. The cottage itself was lovely but the plates are all broken and indeed one did shatter when carried leaving my dinner in my lap. The fires were not prepared and the bin was still full of rubbish. Perhaps the owner had to rush off before they finished preparing the cottage? Television didn't work but never mind. We thought the owner would have made a curtseying call when they picked up our messages , they eventually called back Nd said they would reimburse for the wood we had to buy but they never did. Boscastle was beautiful and we had a lovely time together just a shame the owner couldn't be bothered to take care of the details that make a difference.

  • "If you want peace & quiet away from the hustle & bustle of Boscastle village then this is the place for you."

The views are lovely, in dry, warm weather it must be idyllic; we had a very mixed & generally cool week but the warmth of the cottage made up for what the weather lacked! The enchanting Minster church is so worth a visit but if you are able to, go on foot as its only a short stroll from the farm. The cottage is very well geared up to cooking & eating there with plenty of pans, a good cooker & very efficient hob. The washer & tumble dryer, together with the dish washer made life so easy. On our arrival we were welcomed with milk, eggs, bread, scones, locally made jam, Cornish clotted cream & some fresh flowers which lasted all week! It was all very clean & tidy & lots of leaflets & literature gave us an insight in to what was around us. A lovely large grassed area, enclosed with a picnic table makes it ideal for outside eating in the warmer days; we managed a glass of wine one evening after our only sunny & warm day but the tranquil position is such a delight.

Three of the four dinner plates had large cracks in them, generally looking end of Season tired! Nevertheless this did not detract from our enjoyment due to fabulous position and views.

Jackie is doing a fabulous job at making sure the cottage is well equipped, welcoming and perfectly comfortable. The decoration was tasty, bed and furniture comfortable, kitchen easy to use, etc. The location, just above Boscastle, is perfect for a relaxing yet not isolated stay in Cornwall. We very much enjoyed the garden with ocean view and general surroundings. It is easy to get to and made for a memorable stay. We are very thankful!

  • "We had a great stay."

The cottage is comfortable and as well as being beautifully decorated had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The space between the bottom of the bed and the wall in the double room is quite snug and the mattress is quite soft but this did not change our enjoyment of this cosy cottage. The views from all windows are beautiful. There are some lovely walks in the local area. The pub is a good ten minute walk away with some hills to negotiate and the town is a further ten minutes walk with quite a hill on the way home. Down in the town are a range of restaurants and pubs and of course the old stone harbour. I would recommend this cottage for a family with two kids or 2 couples who like to walk.

  • "Very simple process to book and arrive."

Great cottage, perfect for young family. Only thing that was unexpected is we thought we'd be able to walk into Boscastle. Either we missed the path or you have to walk down the lane into town. Would be fine for adults but not with our lively toddlers. Having stayed in lots of villas and cottages across Europe this was one of the best. Very easy to maintain. Well stocked for those who enjoy self catering. Layout very practical and fully self contained. Very private and anonymous. I suspect we'll be back, as have (reading the visitor book) many others.
