  • "The property was perfect for a couple in a good location."

A short walk into Tintagel & the footpath to the famous Castle. We were lucky to have a lovely sunny week and the beautiful sunsets were amazing - hence the name of the cottage. Would definitely recommend to others.

  • "Sunset Cottage was lovely and clean, well presented and with everything you would need for your stay."

The owners left instructions and info for emergencies etc and helpful leaflets about attractions in Cornwall. Car parking is available on site and Tintagel is just a 15 min walk away. We also thought it was a lovely touch that the owners had left some milk, teabags and biscuits. Best cuppa ever after the drive down

  • "Superb one bedroom cottage in a quiet location only 10 or 15 mins walk from 'downtown' Tintagel (or, 2 minutes drive)."

The coastal footpath is 5 mins walk away. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The only problem I had was finding it as the postcode is not specific enough and one cannot see the cottage from the road. It is however at the same location as the Round House Bossiney. Look for a 5 bar gate next to the little bus shelter in Bossiney.

  • "The property owner was very friendly and helpful."

The property set in a beautiful location of a small village a short walk away (15 mins) from Tintagel and all its amenities. Just around the corner is a bus stop so you can bus further afield to Boscastle, Bude and Newquay. Sunset Cottage is a beautifully clean and well laid out property with everything you need for a week away. It has beautiful distant sea views and has lots of walks nearby so you can explore the coastal paths, nectarine Glen and Bossiney Cove.

The cottage was clean and had all the little extras to help a holiday go well. Tintagel Castle is definitely a place to visit and Tintagel has lots of places to eat. Had a lovely week.

Owners go that extra mile leaving you towels, soap, toilet roll etc. Sunset Cottage is a comfortable place to relax on holiday with lovely views of the sea and great sunsets. Highly recommend any of the owners properties at this location.

Ideal for couples. Large bedroom . Mattress we felt was past its best. Kitchen diner /lounge lovely views. Equipment adequate although a couple of pint glasses would be nice. Comfortable sofa. Good location , easy to access both the coast path and Tintagel . We enjoyed our stay.

The sunset was magical. Local to amenities in the village. Well stocked supermarkets in Tintagel. Friendly owners. The only one gripe was that there were no oven gloves. Would highly recommend this cottage to others.

The cottage was supplied with all the essentials needed in the kitchen area which was a lovely surprise. There is a lovely coastal walk to Tintagel Castle from the property so it was ideal to leave our car parked at Sunset Cottage & save parking fees etc. There is also a walk to Bossiney Haven which is very beautiful. We had a wonderful 5 nights break here & would thoroughly recommend to family & friends.

There wasn't a clothes dryer/airer in the property which would have been useful for drying towels etc on outside. The property is fantastic. Large bedroom, plenty of wardrobe and drawer space. The kitchen has everything you need and to sit in the lounge or on the patio looking at the sea is perfect for a relaxing holiday. Will definitely be revisiting.

  • "The cottage was really lovely, but there were just a couple of things which were not up to par."

There were no facilities for my wife to dry her hair, ie. a dressing table for her to rest her hair drier on, a dressing table to put her makeup on, or to leave her makeup and bits and bobs out. No stool to sit on while getting ready. there was a mirror behind the bedroom door, but not the ideal place to stand and get ready, " the bedroom was plenty big enough". Even just a "shelf" and a "stool" behind the door would have been better, there "was" an electric socket there. The shower was a bit on the small side, I'm thinking about 2ft 5in. not really big enough to bend down in and shower properly. Nowhere in the shower to put the shower jell except on the floor, a basket type shelf would have helped. I know there is one under the wash basin, but not a good place for anything except cleaning materials. The wash hand basin, lovely , but no where to put thing out again. it`s not Ideal to put things in between the taps, A small shelf again between the wash basin and the mirror would be good. As I put above, the cottage is nice apart from these few things. Regards Peter.

About the location

TINTAGEL

Camelford 5.9 miles; Wadebridge 13 miles.

Tintagel, home of the legendary King Arthur’s Castle, whose ruins dominate the cliffside just outside the village, is a popular but not overcrowded tourist destination. The surrounding area is dominated by the sea, rocky coves and stunning scenery. Several beaches, including nearby Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney Cove, are within easy reach and surfing is the main attraction for those who love the water. Tintagel has several pubs and restaurants and the Old Post Office (National Trust) is a must. For the energetic, the South West Coast Path passes through the village and in both directions it winds its way along the cliffs and down to the water’s edge through dramatic countryside. Head north along the path and within a short distance is the beautiful village of Boscastle with its quaint quay and village pubs for refreshment. Further afield are the surfing meccas of Newquay and Bude, with their resort attractions, while the open spaces of Bodmin Moor, the Eden Project, Padstow, Camel Estuary and Port Isaac are all within a short but scenic drive.
