• "Another great week at Cherry Tree Cottage."

  Everything was clean and worked, nice bedding and towels, gallons of hot water. Great beaches just a few minutes from the cottage and several that can be accessed from Bude. Miles of beach and coastal walks for dogs and a lovely huge field for them to have a top up run around.

• "A very nice cottage situated in an area both close to the beach but also close to the main road for access to other areas of interest, it is well decorated and has all the appliances of a standard kitchen, even though the main A39 is next to the cottage when inside you would not know its there as its behind shrubbery and you hear no traffic sounds."

  There are two other cottages close by but you still enjoy privacy as this cottage is at the front so you only see the other occupants going to and from their dwellings. Private parking slots allocated are always a bonus. Another plus was to experience true dark night skies with no artificial lighting to spoil the view.

• "As a family of 3 adults and one dog we found cherry tree cottage to be a very comfortable space."

  Great to have en-suites and smart tvs to each room and the cottage had everything we needed. We all found the beds to be very comfortable. We have a retriever who is very good on lead and with other dogs so having no enclosed garden didn’t bother me as there are a lot of green areas to be able to take them for a quick walk, I didn’t find the enclosed mown paddock, but as I say this didn’t bother me too much. A short drive down to widemouth bay beach and the costal path where I walked our dog and also down into bude to walk along the canal. I found the owners to be helpful on the couple of times I did need to contact them. Lovely stay so Thankyou

• "I was disappointed when I arrived as the garden is not enclosed which is what I asked for when looking at properties."

  There was a gap in the bushes that went straight onto a busy road. I have 2 border collies who love being outside all the time but I couldn’t leave them outside on their own The actual cottage was lovely and is in a lovely location it was just a shame about the safety of my dogs

• "Our 2nd stay at Cherry Tree."

  Cottage is in lovely peaceful location . Very well equipped cottage with everything you need for your stay. . Spotlessly clean . Needs a new rotary drier outside, would have been nice to dry wetsuits outdoors. Will definitely stay again

• "This was a very good cottage, clean and with excellent facilities."

  The cottage was central to some of our favourite coastal towns and places of interest. The area around the cottage is in need of some care, but did not take away from our enjoyment. The only small issue we had was that the outside seating picnic table was positioned in long grass so was not usable for us and the washing line was lying on the long grass and was broken. But we would love to book the cottage again sometime in the future. As an aside we found the people who live in the neighbouring cottages were very friendly and informative.

• "Beautiful warm and cosy cottage in a very quiet location, but very close to Widemouth and Bude."

  Very clean with a well equipped kitchen, lots of crockery and cutlery, everything you need for your stay. Beds and pillows are really comfy, lovely large soft towels. Nice touches with hand soap, washing up liquid , hair dryer and dog bowl supplied. Would definitely stay again.

• "All in all, very good."

  Nice location, quiet but not too far from Widemouth Bay or Bude. The cottage was nicely decorated and had all equipment needed. The only small negatives were the double bed was not very comfortable, no shaver sockets and no instructions on how to operate the heat pump heating. As mentioned in the listing, the onside pool is not operational but there is a large green wooden building that houses, table tennis, pool, snooker and a sports hall. It's a little damp but functional and equipment is provided for sports. Be aware lighting for the sports hall is via coin meter, it states £1 for 20 minutes but £1 only gives SIX minutes.

• "Cottage was clean and comfortable, well equipped, everything worked, very peaceful."

  Gallons of hot water and huge thick towels. Ideally situated for a multitude of beaches and dog walking. There was a very large enclosed mown field, which was ideal for giving the dogs an extra walk. We came back feeling relaxed and rested.

• "Thank you, the cottage was really nice, well appointed and comfortable."

  Me and my boys really enjoyed our stay. My feedback would be to have a card handy for the hob and cooker, this took some figuring out from the manuals but is actually really easy. The sink plug in the twin ensuite was found broken. These are minor things in what is a fab cottage.

• "We had a great holiday, but there were a few issues/attention to detail that let it down."

  I have noted these as "constructive feedback" only for the owners, they are: 1. Upon arrival (1st impression), the outside window frames, door and windows were in desperate need of cleaning. 2. We had to clean the fridge out before we could use it. 3. We also had to clean the drawers in the bedrooms before we could use them as there was hairs etc. In them. 4. The crockery was VERY worn and needs replacing ASAP, also there is insufficient crockery for 4 people as there was only 5 mugs, so we couldn't put them in the dishwasher if we wanted another drink before it was full. 5. The water in the shower in the master bedroom wouldn't go down the waste, when we lifted the waste outlet to check it was absolutely blocked with matted hair which we had to clean. These are attention to detail and easily rectified, then in my opinion it would be worthy of 4 ticks.

• "Beautiful cottage."

  Amazing location so tranquil and peaceful yet so close to all amenities. We absolutely loved it a real home from home. It is the best holiday accommodation we have ever rented. It has comfortable beds and sofas, a fantastic kitchen and is spotlessly clean. Add to all that the lovely views of rolling green fields Perfect!
