  • "Lovely property, stayed here a few times, very relaxing, wish it was longer than a week."

  • "A lovely property and nicely presented."

Very clean with plenty of space for us all. Only issue we encountered was the jets in the bath which came out as sludge so had to abandon that. Guess it had not been used in some time. Informed reception and cleaning staff tried to resolve the issue. Bath could still be used. We all enjoyed the lodge and would return. again.

Many thanks for your feedback, we would love to have you visit again. I have spoken to the cleaning staff about the bath jets and they have assured me that this will be checked at every changeover. Kind regards, S Meadows Property Owner

The lodge was beautiful, plenty of room for a family of 6 - pet friendly to! The holiday park had ample facilties and in driving distance of places we wanted to visit. Wouldn't definitely visit again.

  • "We stayed at this property and would not recommend."

It is very damp downstairs in the bedrooms. We had very cold at times wet beds from damp. The property owner tries hard with the damp but the smell hits you as soon as you walk in. Beds have very soft mattresses. Shower is dangerous as it falls of the holder, shower tray doesn’t drain and when you stop the shower and turn it back on it scalds you! Well stocked kitchen and plenty of sofas, two fridges but they are small with a small freezer box, one was stuck. Largest coffee table I have ever seen. Games in the cupboard if needed, wifi and TV. TV in bedroom did not work. You only have 1 key so difficult if someone is staying in and someone going out, you have to lock the door with a key. Cleaners left food debris, napkins and deflated balloons under the sofa. Not great for mobility as listed and the site itself is not great. Pools are small and the shop is tiny with limited choice, pool tables were old and worn. I would not return purely due to the damp in the lodge, it was awful and ruined our holiday.

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. It did come as a surprise as I have never been made aware of damp in the property before by any of my guests nor have I ever encountered damp myself on my own regular visits to inspect the property. I am staying at the property now and there is no damp. I am aware that you were not able to arrive until day 4 of your week holiday, and we did have quite a lot of rain prior to your arrival, while this doesn't make the lodge damp, as with anywhere, significant rain can increase general humidity levels. I have replaced the shower head and holder, if you had reported this during your stay I would have immediately taken steps to resolve it for you. The TV worked for me after a reset at the mains. I have alerted the cleaning staff to your comments regarding debris under the sofa. Regarding the key, there is a keylock at the property -- most guests leave the key in the lockbox for others if not everyone is going out together. There is room for just one key in the lockbox, so if someone is staying in with the door locked, they would have to answer the door to let someone in. Kind regards, S Meadows Property Owner

  • "A beautiful spot with amazing views, a very comfortable, extremely well equipped lodge."

The only thing that let the accommodation down was the shower: it has the wrong shower head fitted and very little water actually comes out of the head. We appreciated the range of kitchen equipment and utensils. We book a lot of cottages through Sykes and yours is one of the best for this, thank you.

Thank you for your feedback and we are glad that you enjoyed the lodge. We will look into the issue you raise with the showerhead. Kind regards, S Meadows. Property Owner

  • "Property was lovely and well equipped (although the knives In the knife block need to be thrown away please as they are extremely rusty and in no way usuable) beds extremely comfortable although o was surprised they didnt have mattress protectors on them."

Lovely stay. Our only issue which nothing could be done about was the extreme noise in the bedrooms due to them being downstairs and anyone even tiptoeing upstairs sounds like a herd of elephants and anyone with children needs to be aware this is a big problem as it kept waking them.up.

Thank you for your feedback. Regarding the mattress protectors every bed has one, and they are relatively new, so I will check with the cleaning/maintenance staff to understand what happened, thank you for alerting us to this situation. The knives were in good repair only recently so this is something else that we will check. We are glad that you enjoyed the property. S Meadows Property Owner

  • "Lovely property, beds were very comfortable."

The furniture and soft furnishings were of good quality and the kitchen extremely well equipped. The jacuzzi bath was nice except we needed to take the plug out with a fork. The honicomb arms was not great, the food was below expectation, Thai curry was not nice. Overall though a very comfortable and pleasant place for a holiday.

Thank you very much for your feedback, we are really pleased you enjoyed your stay. S Meadows Property Owner

  • "Generally we found the accommodation very good."

Only problems we found were the tv aerial cable was broken and we couldn't successfully sign in to the WiFi. Not really a problem for us but to a family with much younger children maybe a bigger problem. Also no hooks in the ensuing bathroom to hang dressing gown etc. Despite these we would definitely come back.

Thank you very much for your feedback, and for alerting us to the situation with the aerial cable. We sorted that right away. We would love to welcome you back, and in future if there is anything that bothers you please get in touch upon arrival and we will do all we can to sort it for you. All the best, S Meadows Property Owner

  • "We have just returned from a week long holiday at 60 Valley Lodge and I want to return immediately."

The home was spotlessly clean when we arrived and it had every comfort from home, and more! The children loved playing the Game of Life. The park itself was perfect, quiet but with things to do if you wanted to. Although you need to book the pools and gym, we never had an issue with this and it meant they were never too busy. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The pub onsite was also very nice. We will be booking a return visit. Thank you so much.

Thank you very much for your positive feedback. We are especially pleased to hear that the children had a good time. We would love to welcome you again to 60 Valley Lodge. Kind regards, S Meadows Property Owner

My son who has autism, found it very peaceful and safe and lived up to his needs. The decor was outstanding and the house was impeccably clean. I would recommend this house for a family as it is family friendly.

Thank you very much your feedback, it is much appreciated. We worked hard to prepare lodge 60 for guests and are so pleased that you enjoyed it. It is gratifying to hear that we were able to get it right for your family. I will pass on your feedback to the cleaning team, your positive comments mean a lot to them.
