"We found the property to be very clean and had absolutely everything we could possibly need, except toilet roll!"

! The location is quiet, yet within walkable distance of St Ives and the beaches (about 30 min walk, a little longer on the way back) nearest Coop about 15 min walk away.

"Excellent standard of property all round and would return if in a large group."

Have visited St Ives numerous times so know it well, but if new to the area you could do with more information in the property about places to visit locally and further afield. Appreciate that we all have different opinions but useful things like bus timetable into town, car park costs/times, cafes and pubs with good sea views etc come in handy. Only thing could ask to consider about the property was the pans have metal handles which get overly hot when cooking.

"We raised an issue in regard to no hot water."

this was very poorly managed and resulted in me having to make numerous phone calls to numerous people/numbers, and we were without hot water from 5pm through to lunchtime on the following day. Very poor service was compounded by poor communication between the office in St Ives and Head Office. Cameron did pop by to apologise and bring wine, which was kind of him, but does not negate the failing of Sykes to have managed this situation, and to ensure that the property was fit for rental (apparently the lack of hot water was caused by a drop in pressure, due to a long standing leak in the under stairs cupboard). this should have been handled better. Very disappointing and in 27 degree heat, and beach days, hot water for showers was essential.

""We had a fantastic time, the weather was sweltering all week but plenty of ice cream and the sea cooled us down!"

The house was just what we were looking for, clean, spacious and very well appointed. The road noise got a bit of getting used to, but didn't detract from the experience. Great beaches around St Ives and within a few miles drive. We also visited the Minack Theatre, well worth the experience! We would certainly recommend to friends and family!"

""A lovely stay at Rosewall Retreat which is modern, stylish and well equipped property (perhaps some young children's games and books for rainy days) A bit of a walk into town and back but kept us all fit and worked off the ice creams!"

We did catch the 'singing' bus when it was in town, which cost £3 for 2 adults and 2 children. St Ives is beautiful with lots of wonderful beaches, things to do and places to ear. Porthmeor beach best for body boarding. Recommend Hub Box for burgers, Cafe Pasta & Pizzeria, fish and chips places near RNLI on the front and Pedn Olva towards Porthminster beach, to and Alba bar for happy hour. Children do not want to leave. Would recommend and visit again, thank you!"

Very clean with excellent facilities. We have loved our stay here despite the sun hiding for most of the week. The house is a leisurely 20 minute walk downhill to St Ives center but may take an extra 6 to 8 minutes back home - taxi fare is only £5 to £6 pounds. Large French doors and windows, allow natural light to flood a spacious open plan living area, consisting of a kitchen, dining and sitting area, with countryside views of Rosewall Hill and Cornish Moorland, open up the doors, step out onto the forward facing patio and relax watching the natural beauty through the supplied binoculars, or step inside kick off your shoes, warm your toes with the comfort of the under-floor heating and rug and cosy up on the sofa, or comfy chair with footstool, and enjoy the entertainment on the 43” television with Sony Blu Ray DVD Player. The kitchen/diner is within the open plan living area, ideal for socialising with the designated chef, a dining table with seating for six offers a lovely setting to dine in, the contemporary kitchen with sleek white units and spacious black work surfaces is well-appointed with everything you need for your holiday, a separate utility room on the first floor houses a washer/dryer. Rosewall Hill is an area of outstanding natural beauty.

fabulous for walkers and cyclist, with far reaching coastal views, rugged moorlands, wild flora and fauna and native and migrating birds to enjoy spotting, join the South West Coast Path and venture along this dramatic cliffside walk to Zenor or into St Ives in the other direction, St Ives is a traditional Cornish fishing village with a pretty arc shaped harbour and cobbled streets filled with boutiques and galleries filled with local art, its also home to the Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum and Sculpture Garden, which features works of famous artist who have been inspired by the town, surrounded by golden sandy beaches and azure coloured water, alternatively explore the surrounding area by hopping on the scenic railway, it runs beside the beaches with breath-taking sea views all the way.
