  • "Very comfortable stay at West Chambers."

Well equipped apartment. Camborne is a very central town to explore West Cornwall. Train station under 10 min walk. We travel by train to St. Ives, Falmouth, Penzance so easy to use if you don't want to use the car. We had an issue but it was resolved by the owners very quickly. Do make sure you download the app before your holiday to access accommodation.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your stay at West Chambers. Property Owner

  • "Overall quite a nice place."

Property was clean and mosty stocked with equipment you'd need to cook, although adding some pasta bowls and an extra baking tray would be ideal. Bathroom is nice but has a bit of a old towel wet/damp smell to it unfortunately but relaxing big shower. Very nice stay, only downside which owners can't really help but worth bearing in mind if you are used to peace, noisy neighbours. Not sure if they live there or were on holiday but unfortunately we found they slammed the door constantly, it would even shake the bed! They had a child as well, it felt like they were using the property as a race track. The neighbours noise would be the only thing that would put me off returning, apart from that, very calm place, perfect for a little holiday. We had a few issues during our stay, the communication from Sykes when the electric went off was a bit disappointing, just had to wait and without notice electrician turned up. We also couldn't lock the door on the first day from the outside, but maintenance came the day after when I reported it and he adjusted the door and advised us to slam it. Just bare in mind if you have older or disabled people staying at the property they might struggle with this, I'd recommend the maintenance have another look to see if they can make it easier to just close.

  • "We were very annoyed with the total lack of WiFi."

My wife had taken her iPad for work use, and was unable to use it. The WiFi code was sent to us via email before we arrived at the apartment, but strangely, there was a different code in the ‘Welcome Book’ on the table. Neither of them worked. After many calls to your office, nothing was resolved. No one got back to us for five days. We were told they couldn’t contact the owner. Finally, just before we left, we were given yet another code, which unsurprisingly, also didn’t work. To say that this was annoying would be an understatement, as we were spending our holiday time ringing the office because nobody at the office seemed to know what was going on. The staff appeared clueless. THE APARTMENT The TV in the kitchen had desaturated colour which we were unable to rectify, which rendered it virtually unwatchable. There were no pasta/ salad bowls, neither was there a large salad serving bowl. Very odd, and very strange heavily floral china! However, we did appreciate the excellent shower. The ironing board, iron and hairdryer for our use was helpful. We won’t be returning. Had we not had the WiFi fiasco, we would have had a much more enjoyable break.

  • "Great holiday property at a reasonable price compared to other properties in the area."

Slight problem wth opening and closing of the apartment door which was reported to Sykes Cottages

Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback. We are glad that you had a lovely holiday. We have taken a look at the door and our maintenance team have made some changes to the frame to help the door to fully close on its own. We do hope that we might welcome you back to the apartment again sometime in the near future. Property Owner

  • "A modern apartment."

Once the 3 different codes for the car park, main door and apartment door were mastered and memorised, easier access was achieved! A pity that the bathroom exhaust fan was malfunctioning during my entire stay. Suggest the bathroom light’s on timing is reduced.

  • "Really nice apartment, nicely decorated and finished, with excellent features and pretty much everything you need for your stay."

Superb location for exploring SW Cornwall, in a fantastic property with great parking space. Things that could be improved; the heating controls are not easy to work, even with a manual and with my good understanding of these sorts of things! We had an issue with the heating but the property management soon sorted it for us, thanks again. The light in the bathroom works by a sensor, so you walk in and the light comes on. All good until you get up in the middle of the night and are blinded by the automatic light when you could probably do without it! Very comfortable bed, nice TVs in the bedroom and kitchen. We love our coffee in the morning so brought our own coffee machine, but other than than, a very well stocked kitchen with a full sized fridge-freezer and superb oven and hob as well as a microwave, plates, pans, cutlery, utensils, tea towels, washing up stuff etc. Nice towels for the bathroom and a fantastic shower. A really nice apartment, would thoroughly recommend and would visit again if we are down that way again. If you are looking for a good base for the area, this is great as you have supermarkets, restaurants and pubs nearby, but it is still nice and quiet. A fab week down in Cornwall

Well-equipped, modern, beautifully laid out and maintained. No light pollution, so we had amazingly clear views of the stars. Owners friendly and helpful. Gave us beer and bread on arrival ! One day there was a storm, and they rang to make sure we were okay.

We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. We agree the location is great. There is an abundance of cafes and local businesses within walking distance and the property is very central to all the popular beaches and attractions. We hope to see you again soon! Property Owner

  • "We had a very comfortable, enjoyable stay in west chambers."

Bright and airy room, HUGE tv in bedroom AND kitchen. Fantastic shower. Was a shame we couldn’t park out front on the quiet road( one of those 30 minute ones). There’s a spacious parking area for guests round the back, but, with mirrors folded in we just about got through to it, it’s a tight squeeze. I think the only downside is, that there was no dishwasher, but that was not really a problem. All in all, a very nice place to relax in at the end of the day. Myke Wright, Northamptonshire.

Clearly a new property and everything was perfect. Some small issues associated with this but all were resolved within a short time although no instructions to make life easier around the property Not a lover of digital door locks especially on the main outside door. Not easy to read and operate especially on a narrow pavement. The inside lock was better as clear

Thank you so much for choosing to stay with us and for your time and effort spent leaving a feed back. we take our guests feedback very seriously as we would like to improve and make your stay as enjoyable as possible .
