  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lily cottage There was everything we needed to enjoy a three night break."

Cottage offered a very high standard. All amenities were A1 Perfect to accommodate 4adults and 2children. ( and dogs !! ) Would like to thank Ali for all her help.

  • "Our stay at Lily Cottage was lovely!"

The property was super clean and very well-appointed, with everything our little family needed to be comfy for the 2 weeks. We had what we needed to cook, clean and look after ourselves like a proper home from home. Camelford is a great location - close to Polzeath, Boscastle, Tintagel etc but not as touristy or jam-packed in July/August. Would stay again.

  • "I think this is probably the best cottage we have stayed in."

the facilities were great and there was everything you could need. the only downside was what to do when leaving, there were some instructions in the book about what to do with bed linen, but no bags were provided. Maybe the books needs updating? And there were no instructions about putting the bin out, which we were expecting to do.

  • "This property was very well equipped with everything you could think of, and very clean, dog towels, treats, etc, deceiving from the outside as in size as was very spacious inside, comfy bed, duvet and pillows, great quality, even had a cream tea on arrival and some milk in the fridge."

Co-Op literally down the hill and The Mason Arm pub also, good fish and chips round the corner, will be going back again, enjoyed our trips to Port Issac, Padstow and Tintagel, only 20mins away.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Lily Cottage, the house has everything you could need, very well appointed."

Great location for visiting other places, beds were super comfy, (so much so my parents have purchased the same mattress that was on their bed as soon as the returned home!) We were 2 families staying so each had our own bathroom facilities and my 12 year old slept in the bunk room and he too had his own cloakroom. Great for dogs too We would love to come back to stay at Lily Cottage next time we come to Cornwall Thank you

I just think it should be listed as a semi detached property as we thought it was detached only to find out it wasn’t when the neighbours turned up and parking is limited.

  • "House is really nicely furnished, comfy beds and a nice welcome pack."

There isn’t a lot in camelford itself but it’s easy to get to other villages and beaches from the house. Parking 2 cars wasn’t an issue as there was always space on the road outside the house.

  • "The only issue regarding the facilities is that there is only one off-road car parking, although there is street parking close-by."

We were aware of this before booking. I cannot recall if the information provided prior to arrival indicates that the front third of a building is in fact a private dwelling. We had a plumbing crisis during our stay involving water over-flowing from the main bathroom shower, passing through the bunkroom light fitting en-route to the floor below. A combination of luck and quick-thinking on our party gave us time to remove the soft furnishings and place buckets, so no long term damage. The person occupying the bunkroom for four nights had to sleep the last two on a mattress in the lounge. The owner responded well to the issue and appeared to have resolved it the following morning. Unfortunately there was a minor overflow the next day from the same shower. We reported this and we assume it was dealt with, but received no feedback. We did not use the shower again. Apart from this, we were impressed with the cleanliness, comfort and facilities of this cottage.
