• "This is a beautiful apartment with every comfort, but one or two minor suggestions for the benefit of other users, should be considered."

  1) A small rack placed inside the en-suite shower for holding user items: gel, spounge, flannel, soap etc would be helpful. 2) A dish rack on the kitchen sink for holding tea cups,side plates,etc after light washing and which do not need, or justify the use of the dishwasher.

• "Beautiful property and really great location."

  One minor thing you may wish to think of - the internal doors slam automatically and make a loud noise. Some door frame liners/softeners may help with this.

• "Two weeks after getting back , the smile is still there !"

  Great apartment in a perfect position, easy 4 minute walk to the railway station to get in and out of the still wonderful St Ives , train always on time and regular with free parking on site of the apartments what more can you ask for . I/we am a fussy old bugger when it comes to where I/we stay and the quality , cleanliness and lay out of the place , I cannot give Far Cliffs a better review than to say , I /we would love to return in the future to Far cliffs time and again , It was peaceful , stunning views over Carbis Bay and St Ives Harbour/Island . The lounge / Kitchen was of a great standard , the bathrooms idea and both bedrooms very comfortable indeed , one is a little smaller than the other , there was nothing that did not work , everything was very comfortable and any very small defects where so small they would not matter , you really would be picky to point those out , for me a high review would be 9 out of 10 , really don't do 10s , Far cliffs would be 9.6 in my view . I should add this review is from a late 50s and late 40s lady , no children in our party

• "Whilst the quality of the apartment is very good there are a number of small details you might like to know about: 1) The washing machine is incorrectly installed therefore the door does not close correctly."

  2) The piece of metal, in the main bedroom door frame into which the latch fits, is loose and is likely to cause a problem 3) There is a 50p size brown stain on the single seater "armchair" 4) the LED lights, to the balcony, do not appear to work 5) One of the downlighters (I forget which room - sorry) stopped working whilst we were there None of the above caused us any concern, we had a great time, I simple thought real feedback is helpful I am quite happy for you to publish any or all of this feedback however, the general feedback is more for you facilities manager than relating to the quality of the stay so is your choice to publish, or not

• "Unfortunately for us, having spent hours searching the internet for a place to stay in Carbis Bay, we eventually chose Far Cliffs!"

  The interior furnishings, are key for our choice, comfort is very important, so I look in detail at the visual level of comfort. The criteria is, wonderful sea views, peaceful environment, beautiful comfortable furnishings. Far Cliffs, is not the Apartment that is shown or offered on Sykes Cottages web site, nor indeed, any of the other platforms it is advertised on! The furniture has been changed and nothing is representative on your site. Indeed the Sofa and Chair set, must be the most uncomfortable set ever made! Sofa is too low, too deep, and too hard, equally the arm chairs are the same, we spend most of the week sitting on the dining chairs! They really do need changing. They Look good, please don’t be deceived. I felt all my searching and cross checking of furnishings was a complete waste of time. The building site next door is something else!! Noisy, dirty, totally unacceptable for a peaceful holiday, we had the doors closed all day, but in warmer climates, it would be a terrible disappointment on all levels. Sadly for me, the reviews drop down box was not working properly, so was unable to read previous reviews and was unaware of building works. This key problem should be highlighted at the beginning of the description details, and should be reflected in the price, until the works are completed. That would be fair and upfront, not at the end of the documents where most people are likely to miss it. Far Cliffs was clean, the beds were comfy and all the appliances worked well. Would we come back. NO! not until the buildings next door are completed and they replace the lounge sofa set. Please update your websites to include the change of all furnishings, misleading and inaccurate!

• "Beautiful apartment, everything you needed."

  Amazing views. Carbis Bay, St Ives is beautiful. My husband loved the train. We will be back. Far Cliffs is the Best. Building work didn't put us off.

• "Lovely property with good facilities."

  The only reservations were proximity of the building works and the noise which restricted use of the balcony and meant we had to keep windows shut during the day. A couple of items were missing such as a fan and the property managers were helpful in providing this. It was a beautifully appointed apartment overall and the good weather meant good days out so we worked around the working hours of the builders.

• "You failed to mention the very large and noisy building project going on right next to Number 10 - The Sands We will still use you again - but hotels have to tell you about building work - so i don't see why you should be any different."

• "Sadly the building works adjacent to these apartments and unfortunately this apartment in particular (being an end apartment right next to building works) was more extensive than we had been led to believe (July 22)."

  Building work started at 8am with diggers, loud bangs, foul language, delivery lorries and dust. This all but made it impossible to use the balcony area in the mornings or the working day. At the end of every day we had to clean the dust off the balcony table and chairs before we tried to sit on it in the evening (when building works had finished for the day) to enjoy the views. Unfortunately this detracted from our enjoyment of this lovely apartment . The building works did not afford us our well deserved holiday 'lie ins' in the mornings or the relaxing experience we had hoped for from our holiday. Finding ourselves having to go out for most of the day to avoid the noise and the dust from the building works. I feel this impairment should be stressed more in your advertising of these apartments as the work will continue for the rest of the summer 22 and into the autumn 22 months to varying degrees. Also the secure gates to the property are well worn and slow to open/close with the pedestrian gate being to heavy for me in particular to open on my own without help. Perhaps some oil may help but the gate itself as it was very heavy so I'm not sure how the elderly or infirm would manage opening the pedestrian gate. I appreciate the need for gates and they are welcome for security but i think some fine tuning maybe required here.
