• "This will be our 4th visit to the Hebaska."

  Lovely house . Everything was great comfortable as normal. Being picky think the shower needs a deep cleaning few spots on grout appearing and corners of tray. The internet was off a few days. And be careful with the road up house. Even tho i mentioned a few points I would highly recommend the house.

  Extremely quiet location but within walking distance of grocery stores. I would definitely recommend staying here. St.Ives is only a short distance away but for something quieter Carbis Bay beach is perfect.

• "We had a lovely stay at Hebaska."

  It was a peaceful location with a nice view overlooking the fields. A couple of things we would say, is that the sea view in the photos wasn’t quite the same in person, we could see a tiny peek of the sea due to trees and surrounding areas. Whilst we appreciate this may be out of your hands, the photos on the advert are very misleading. The cleanliness of the house could have been better - there were cobwebs in corners, the oven wasn’t cleaned and smelt, we couldn’t use it for the smell when it was turned on and one duvet had blood stains on. Also, following on from a review in March 2024, the shower in the main bathroom is still leaking, which meant only the shower in the en-suite was usable for the whole week.

  Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback after your stay at Hebaska. We are glad to hear you found the location peaceful with the surrounding fields and greenery. We would like to assure you that the cleanliness points have been brought to the attention of the housekeeper and will be resolved going forward. The housekeeper has also confirmed that the stain on the duvet was in fact black ink which faded to brown with the application of the number of cleaning products used on a regular basis to ensure the high standard of cleanliness is continuously met. In regard to the shower leak, a member of the local office has attended to this. For future reference, if you are staying at a Carbis Bay Holidays property and have any issues during your holiday please contact the local office and we will gladly arrange for someone to attend to rectify these for you. • "Lovely comfy beds, well equipped house in a fab location."

  Had a great week enjoyed by all the family including the dog. Positive feedback, It lacked that personal touch of a welcome pack that reading in the visitors book there use to be. Such a small thing but makes the guests feel welcome. There was no bin bags, dishwasher tablets or cleaning materials left to clean the bathrooms and kitchen throughout the week. We had a phone call to advise us the shower leaked which happened all week every time we showered as there was 6 of us that was a lot of towel usage to mop up the flooded bathroom floor so no one slipped over. . Had a few phones calls from the agent but they never ended up coming round. There was also no container for recycling glass or any information to find a nearby location to do this.

• "We loved this property from the time we stepped through the front door."

  It was warm, despite being minus temperature and snow outside, very comfortable including the beds, very well equipped with high quality fixtures and equipment and perfectly located for us. We loved the personal touches such as biscuits etc being left for both us and our dog plus the use of dog bowls and mat. We would highly recommend the property and hope to return in the future.

• "House is Fabulous we love the property and went to book for next year but the same week was all ready booked."

  New cushions and bed throws we appreciated Just a few minor things.There wasn’t enough glasses a few chipped and cracked so we couldn’t Use them. I bought some and left them there. Top oven needs a new seal it’s off. Cooker is complicated so don’t use very often. Never heard any noise passed year’s but house to the left was extremely loud late in the night until early hours we couldn’t leave windows open so was uncomfortable sleeping. We would still book again as it’s normally very quiet lovely property .

We are very sorry that there were insufficient glasses during your stay and thank you very much for leaving the glasses you purchased. We have informed our Maintenance Team of the Oven Seal so they can arrange for this to be repaired. We will also look to amend the instructions in the Quick Start Guide for the cooker and make them more user-friendly. We are also very sorry to hear that there were noisy guests staying at the property adjacent to Hebaska, for future reference if you experience any similar issues while staying at one of our properties if you let us know of this during your stay, we will do all we can to address the situation. • "We had a wonderful time In Cornwall."

  This is the second time we have booked with Sykes Cottages. Hebaska was perfectly presented and the location and type of property was super for our family. We enjoyed many a night playing badminton in the garden which is a perfect place to relax and unwind after a busy day at the coast. Thank you to the property owner and to the wonderful cleaner who contacted us on the second week at the property. She was extremely helpful offering to change bedding/towels and also provided information about when the bin go out. The only down side, there was no recycling service at the property. This was not the owners policy, but I believe it was the local council who make the decision. Sad to see so many bottles go in to the first weeks general waste. The cleaner however, came up trumps when she offered to recycle the second week for us. She was a superstar! Thank you.

• "Nice to see some of the suggestions previously made by other customers had been actioned, change of chairs on balcony, blind to main window for balcony."

  Nice touch with the dog bowls and treats, unfortunately our pooch was too fussy so wouldn't eat them. Might be an idea to get a blind on the Velux in the lounge which faces the buildings at the back, the sun just hits you right in the eye late afternoon early evening! Booked again to come next April we love the location, so quiet and within easy access of main roads, train station. Pillow, bed and bedding is fab and so comfy. Third visit next year. See you April 2023.

  It’s the second time we have stayed at this property and looking forward to staying there next year. The only problem is the huge jump in price not sure how you justify that amount. Did expect a small increase because it had increased from the first year but the jump in price this year doesn’t seem correct.

  The only fault was the sofa was covered in dog hair and my daughter has asthma so we had to hoover the sofa.The bin didn’t work no spare batteries And a terrible smell in the cupboard in the lounge..and the balcony could do with a good clean cobwebs hanging off the facia.but didnt stop us enjoying are holiday .

  The note on the listing said it wouldn’t affect our sea and rural views which it blatantly does! The house was immaculate as always and couldn’t fault it, just the noise and operations of the site. What should have been a relaxing, peaceful break in a beautiful house didn’t materialise as we had to go out everyday to avoid the commotion .
