• "We loved Kerensa from the moment we pulled up outside."

  It's in a quiet location just back from the main road but just a short walk down the hill and you're at beautiful carbis bay beach. The apartment was clean and modern with ample space and a little balcony to have your morning cuppa. The apartment had everything we needed for a really comfortable stay and looked just like the photos on the website. We wish we could have stayed longer, but we will definitely be back.

• "Was very impressed how quickly the problem with the Bathroom extracter fan, a new one was installed, and the blind in the bedroom which had seemed to be jammed were sorted out."

  This is our 3rd stay and the only thing that we find a little uncomfortable is the bed as the mattress is a bit soft. However it’s a lovely apartment and we’re booked for next year!

• "Another lovely stay at this beautiful apartment."

  Everything you need and in an ideal location, right near to the bus stops so if you don't drive it's so easy to get around. The whole apartment is spotless and the bed is so comfy, you feel like wanting to stay in it all day. Although close to the main road, it is so quiet. Plenty of hot water for the bath and shower a well. Our 3rd visit and hopefully won't be our last. Thank you so much.

• "The flat was spacious and in a good position."

  I would say the windows in the bedroom need looking at. When the rain and wind hit that side of the house you could hear the rattling of the window panes and feel the air blowing in. The blinds were moving. Also the alarm on the fridge went off several times even though the door was shut correctly. It went off in the middle of the night and we had to find out where it was coming from. The outside entrance of the building needs attention. The walls and door area need a good clean. The balcony of the flat didn't look as if it had been swept, there was a big splodge of seagull poo on the door pane that we cleaned off, as well as cleaning the outside chairs and table.

• "This apartment was absolutely perfect."

  The amenities included really made it feel like a home from home and we could not have asked for a more well equipped property. The location was excellent for visiting St Ives either by car or train. Self check in was easy. The comfort in the property was outstanding from the very comfortable bed, pillows and lovely soft linen to the lovely big sofa in the living room. Unfortunately it rained the entire week so we couldn't use the balcony but could still enjoy the sea views from the living room. We had very bad weather whilst staying here which meant it was a bit noisy at night but nothing our ear plugs couldn't fix - if it had been sunny I doubt we would have had any issues! Shower head does spray out a bit all over the place which can leave the bathroom floor a bit wet but this could be easily resolved and certainly didn't affect our stay. Definitely recommend a stay here and we are looking to come back to the area just so we can stay in this property.

• "The apartment was brilliant with all the home comforts you could need and we would definitely stay again."

  The location of the station was a bonus with regular trains running to connect to the mainline at St Earth. Also, it was only a 20 minute walk in to St Ives along the coast path. The views from the lounge over to Godrevy lighthouse were amazing. We felt very relaxed and comfortable during our weeks stay and didn’t really want to leave. There are only a couple of criticisms as follows:- 1. Following on from previous guests comments, there was intermittent noise from outside the bedroom window or possibly on/in the roof on a number of evenings especially when it was breezy. This is definitely a problem that needs to be resolved because it was disturbing on several occasions but wouldn’t stop us staying again. 2. The bathroom cabinet in front of the sink was in the way when having a shave or washing your face. It’s great to have the cabinet but it would be better placed else where in the bathroom. Minor criticism but I thought it was worth a mention.

• "A lovely property , very clean & well maintained with high quality accessories."

  We used our car to drive to the railway station at the bottom of Boskerris road & caught the train into St Ives , £5 parking all day & £1 each way on the train ++. Only slightly negative point was the lack of accurate directions to the key safe , I found it ok but some others may not , it might be handy to point out where the Carbis Bay offices are located , other than that perfect

• "This was our fourth visit to Kerensa and, as ever, it was spotlessly clean, exceptionally well equipped, warm, cosy, convenient and comfortable."

  My only comment is that we looked at booking the apartment for this time next year and felt that £651 (which feels like a significant increase) for a week was cost prohibitive.

• "A beautiful apartment and so well equiped with everything you could need."

  Felt really warm and homely even on our last afternoon when it was very wet and windy!! The TV took a bit of understanding but once we realised by playing it through Now TV we didn’t have a problem with the signal. We do enjoy a bath especially when we’ve been walking but the hot water was not very hot! Perhaps we should have reported it? We really enjoyed our stay and looking forward to our visit next year

• "Our 2nd stay at this lovely apartment and as was the case last time, everything was perfect in every way."

  Such a comfortable apartment and the location is just right as we do not drive and the bus stops are within arms distance. The apartment has everything you need with a fully equipped kitchen, although our culinary skills were restricted to the kettle and toaster as we ate out every day, and only ever have a light breakfast. Only thing we found was that the tv in the lounge has a very bad signal, although having a 2nd tv in the bedroom which worked perfectly so it did not cause us any problems.

• "Clean, well equiped, value for money apartment for two adults with the following pros and cons:- Pros - great location on the main road for easy bus links between Carbis Bay and St Ives or Lelant and wider afield."

  Very close proximity to favourite restaurant at The Gannet less than 5 minutes walk. Good clean bathroom facilities with powerful shower and lots of hot water. Cons - Accepting the location on the main road the noise insulation in the bedroom ceiling and windows was poor even with upvc double glazed units which often resulted in late night/early morning road noise disturbing sleep. The very small balcony provided a sit out area with seaside views but does not appear to get any direct sunlight. No beach towels were provided at Kerensa unlike the case at all previous CBH apartments where beach towels were provided.

• "WOW this place was fabulous!"

  Had everything and more, to make you comfortable. Yes, it’s on a main road, but was quiet at night time when it matters. Except some banging we heard every night. Think it’s a maintenance problem. I left a note in visitors book. Hence only 4 stars. But that aside would definitely go again. 10 min walk down a steep hill to beach. Some lovely places to eat nearby. Would recommend La Casita 4 mins walk.

  It was well equipped and spotlessly clean. Very well situated for getting around Carbis Bay and St Ives. The train station is at the bottom of the road and a bus stop immediately outside for those reliant on public transport.

• "Beautiful apartment, in a great location."

  Hardly used car, as bus and train so close. Tesco 10min walk or 2 in the car. Apartment has a well equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge, with fantastic view down to Carbis Bay. Bathroom clean with good pressure in shower and great mirrored cupboard. Bedroom has tonnes of storage with numerous hangers. Comfortable bed and great pillows. This is one of the nicest holiday homes we've stayed in and will definitely book again when coming to Cornwall.

• "Lovely clean well equipped apartment with a great shower and comfy bed."

  Only tiny bugbear was the time spent opening and closing the 12 blinds twice each day! The apartment is handy for the train into St Ives, just £1 each way, but also not too far a walk down to the beach. Tesco is just up the road for essentials and the bus stops right outside. Overall a great, relaxing holiday in a lovely location and we would love to visit again!

• "Great 2nd stay at this Appartment and will be back."

  We did have an issue with a knocking on the roof/window that kept us awake for two nights. We did report it to the office and Carbis bay holiday staff dealt with it by sending someone to view the property but couldn’t see anything. It was still a knocking after and I think people staying in the future will have an issue.

  I was however disappointed with the shower and the lack of hot water and our late check out request

  Thank you for your feedback, I believe you did have an extended check out time which was arranged especially with the housekeeper to leave at 10am which was due to the property being booked to be cleaned following your departure. We will look to move the check out times to a later time following your feedback. In regards to the shower and lack of hot water, I understand you contacted the office one day after you arrived to extend your booking but it does not look like you reported a lack of hot water or any issues with the shower? Please do always feel you can call us to let us know of any issues on 01736 630015 (option 2) as we have a local team (opposite the property) who can pop down and rectify or address any issues you may experience as we would always want to provide our guests with the best experience and holiday we possibly can.   only issue was the main tv and its reception which kept losing signal. dishwasher only cleaned on 1 programme? heating visa the hive did not connect so couldnt get heating on one day when it was chilly?

• "Our 2nd time with Carbis Bay holidays and would thoroughly recommended them to anyone."

  Apartment had everything you needed and was very comfortable. Kerensa was ideally situated just off the main road and so close to the bus routes, and as we don't drive this was ideal. The Kitchen was so well equipped with plenty of crockery/cutlery and cooking facilities you would need. But our cooking was limited to using just the kettle and toaster, as we ate out all the time,apart from bringing back fish and chips on a couple of occasions. One piece of advise though, is that if you arrive by train, make sure you pre order a taxi to get you up the hill from the station as it is a hard slog up the hill. We had to wait 45 minutes to get one. Even had trouble ordering a taxi to take us back down to the station on our homeward journey, as when we rang the evening before, we could not get one. But it is a lot easier going downhill than up.

  Had a warm welcome from Jo and welcome goodies were a really lovely touch. We had a lovely stay, loved looking out at the view. Great location for exploring the area by car, bus or train. Only criticism would be that the grout needs cleaning in the shower and silicone needs replacing around the bath. Would love to return one day. Thank you
