• "Sandsifters III is such a beautiful place to stay, I cant even describe the view it's just amazing!"

  ! The house has everything you need and more, the owners have thought of everything! We had an amazing week there, and after a day sightseeing we couldn't wait to come back, sit on the balcony and enjoy the view. Highly reccomed the coastal walk to St Ives, we was lucky enough to spot a seal so keep your eyes peeled! The fish shop in Carbis bay is a strong 10/10! We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to stay again in the future

• "Really appreciated yet another annual week at Sandsifters III."

  This was our seveth time and we're already booked and looking forward to next year. Sould add that the improvement to the internet in the downstairs bedrooms was much appreiciated as was the replacement balcony table. A couple of recommendations: The lock and slide of the patio door is very stiff and could do with some maintenance. The drainage smell in the downstairs shower rooom is definitely worsening. Can something be done? Finally, our cleaner went above and beyond to sort out the beeping fire\carbon monoxide detctor on our arrival... very important to our sanity and sleep! • "We all absolutely loved the house, location was perfect, view out this world and had everything we needed."

• "Lovely modern apartment for six people."

  Fantastic views over Carbis Bay. The apartment is clean and well equiped. Garden table and chairs. Would have benefited from having some sunbeds or reclining chairs. Easy access to the train to St Ives. Loved the setting hope to return soon.

• "This was our fifth time at Sandsifters III, so we obviously appreciate it."

  On this occasion we felt let down by two things: The outside table no longer functions. The fabric on the top is loose\beveled and it is dangerous to put a glass on it. Poor internet, particularly downstairs. We paid a lot for our week and would appreciate if the owner would consider some compensation such as something off of our week in August 2024.   I’m so sorry you were disappointed by your latest stay at Sandsifters. As soon as we were aware of the broken table, we ordered a new one. However, there is a small coffee table in the garden that could have been used. Sky sent a BT engineer to rectify a problem they had detected but were not allowed access to take a look. Previous guests had not complained and Carbis Bay Holidays/the owners have no way of knowing about unreported issues as it is not possible to check remotely. You did tell us later, after your stay, that you had a problem all week with the internet. Reporting issues, as advised in the house manual, is always the best policy to get things fixed. • "Thank you so much."

  We've just had the most wonderful holiday in Sandsifters 3. The photos online were very impressive, but the reality surpassed expectations. The view of Carbis Bay is utterly beautiful, and even one week of gazing at it wasn't enough. The house was very clean on arrival, and easy to live in for a week. We really appreciated the comfortable beds, the lovely bathrooms, the laundry room and drying facilities!, the gorgeous lounge area (and the leather chair for those with weak backs was a Godsend!), and all the cooking equipment and crockery. Everything we needed for meals and even baking. As a family we loved the Cornwall puzzle, which taught us a lot about Cornish culture and traditions. I think the only thing we could have done with was a fan for the upstairs area - we were lucky it was so warm, but sometimes it got quite humid even with the balcony doors open. In saying that, when we did get too hot we retreated downstairs which was nice and cool. We had a lovely time taking the train to St Ives several times, going to the beach every day (and improving our leg strength on the walk back up the hill!), and driving several times to Godrevy for seal spotting. We ended up buying some binoculars during our stay and were able to spot seals many times. It was a fantastic holiday that really felt like a dream. Thank you again, we will be back!

• "We had a fantastic week."

• "Beautiful property with stunning views and an excellent spec."

  Very warm & comfortable and we would definitely return. Our only small issue is the settee is very uncomfortable and too deep to get comfortable! Sadly it’s fully booked for the week we wanted next year!!

• "We have visited this lovely house twice in 2022, and are going again in 2023."

  These days, with accessibility fixtures no longer needing to look utilitarian, the property would benefit from discreet designer handles in the showers, especially in the smallest bedroom on the same level as the living area, which is ideal for visitors like my mother, who is 99, and who will be 100 when we visit in January. It is a shame that the rather slippery and steep staircase does not have handrails on both sides, rather than just the one, which precludes someone like my mother, who is otherwise fit and mobile, from enjoying the luxurious lower bedrooms and their sea views. Also, enough tablets to run the dishwasher each day would be appreciated.

• "Property was on the whole immaculate (other than detailed below) with incredible views."

  Very well equipped too with fantastic appliances and everything you could need in the kitchen. Only a couple of issues, the drawers in the super king room were broken. The sofa is in need of a very deep clean (smells very musty and lots of stains). The pillows in the bedrooms are in desperate need of replacing, completely flat and again smell musty through the fresh bedding (which was lovely bed linen!) this does detract from the overall luxury feel of the house as you expect luxurious bedding but the pillows were really awful. Other than those few things, the house was wonderful and we will certainly be back!

We are, however, saddened to hear that you didn’t find some areas of the property up to standard, we apologise. Due to the high demand of staycations last year the property has had very heavy usage and also been very popular. We will arrange for the sofa to be regularly cleaned throughout the year and ask that the housekeeper keep a close eye on any stains in between, in case these need attending to on the change over day as a spot clean. In addition, we also have the bedding, pillows and mattress protectors regularly cleaned by the housekeeper. The team are always available to help deal with any issues during your stay on 01736 630015 option 2 and would do what we can to resolve them as soon as possible. • "This place was absolutely perfect."

  The view is amazing whether in the day looking across to Godrevy or in the evening seeing the lights of St Ives. The accomodation worked brilliantly for us. It was so good having the downstairs lounge for the kids and great to have Sky Q so they could watch movies down there. This is a fabulous property and worked incredibly well for a winter break.

• "As someone with mobility difficulties, Sandsifters 3 is ideal with a flat entrance from the car park and able to live on the one floor."

  For the same reason it would be good to have one higher, comfortable armchair in the lounge. The property is immaculate and excellently maintained, with wonderful views and in a great location.

• "The cost for the same time next year is over £5kpw."

  So our 2 weeks in this lovely property is over £10k. Not sure if this is dynamic pricing but this is excessive so we would not recommend at that price.

• ""Wow! You really must stay here - what an amazing property with the most stunning views of Carbis Bay and the sea/coastline ever!"

  Just a skip and a hop to the beach, also the train station for a trip into St Ives for dinner etc. Very tasteful and contemporary interior with sofas you can stretch out on and admire the view. Owners have thought of everything including the Nespresso capsules! We walked to La Casita for dinner which is highly recommended. We also cycled from Bodmin to Padstow for lunch. A really great place to stay - highly recommended. "
