  We had a great holiday. Everything we needed was provided. Short walk to the beach, we were getting married at Carbis bay and the property was ideally located. The apartment felt spacious, a lovely place to get ready for our wedding.

• "We found the property lovely, the views and garden were beautiful."

  The only thing we found wrong was that there was a definite temperature change when you walked downstairs to the main bedroom and a smell of damp. We found it a bit awkward at times with the kitchen utensils etc as they are all over the place, some in draws some in cupboards and some in the pantry. Maybe a re think on that might be useful. But we would definitely stay again

I would agree downstairs is cooler than upstairs, this can be pleasant during hot weather but of course, this Summer hasn't been great so far. However, you can isolate the heating to come on just downstairs, thereby resolving the temperature change. We have had a more powerfull extractor fitted in the downstairs bathroom and this possibly needs to set on for longer to remove more steam. Is it possible you could expand on the difficulties you had with the kitchen utensils. Everything is in it's own dedicated draw or cupboad and larger items in the pantry, in order to keep the open plan living space looking tidy. • "Wonderful property and so handy for public transport (we didn’t travel by car)."

  Beautifully maintained. Garden is perfect for relaxing and lounging. Only one suggestion: include some more essentials in “welcome pack” like butter. We could only buy a large pack and had to throw it away at the end of our 1 week stay. Other than that, Sea Breeze was fantastic and we would thoroughly recommend it.

• "Thank you for a wonderful week, Sea Breeze is a beautiful apartment with everything we needed and more."

  Wonderful sea views, and a lovely garden. It is so handy to get the bus direct from the front door in to St.Ives in five minutes. The weather wasn’t always the kindest to us, with storm ciaran hitting but it didn’t stop us getting out and about, and we really appreciated the phone call from the owner to check we were ok in the storm. Thank you, we will be back!

• "We have stayed in this property before and everything was as we remembered."

  The furnishings and fitted are to a high quality and standard and the property is in an excellent location. The only issue that we don’t recall from our last visit is that as soon as you get half way down the stairs there is a very strong musty/damp smell and the bedroom down there felt slightly damp.

  Thank you for your feedback. The week prior to your arrival, I had stayed at the property. I departed on the day of your arrival and wasn't aware of a musty/damp smell during the period of my stay. After reading your review I asked the houskeeper, who did a full clean after my departure and before your arrival, if she had noticed a smell of any kind and she hadn't. I also asked the Carbis Bay Holidays team to check and they couldn't detect a smell either but this was a week after your departure. Regarding damp, Sea Breeze was built about fifteen years ago to high spec using thermaly efficient materials specified by the local authority and signed off by them, it doesn't suffer whatsoever from the ingress of damp; in fact the insulation is very efficient. Today 11/10/23, I noticed that the houskeeper had changed the head on the mop, which is kept in the laundry downstairs. This did make me think, could the old mop have been the problem! Unfortunately I haven't been able to arrive at a conclusive answer. I can only say that it would have been better to report the matter to Carbis Bay Holidays when the smell was first detected and they would have done everything possible find the source of the problem. • "We loved staying at Sea Breeze, the views towards the bay were fantastic and the kitchen well stocked with equipment."

  Our only issue was no blackout blinds/curtains which meant every evening it was extremely difficult to get our one year old asleep. We would love to stay again but the lack of blackout blinds makes us reluctant.

  We are sorry to hear you were not entirely satisfied with your stay at Sea Breeze. I myself like to sleep in a dark room and therefore had a Venetian blind, Blackout linings and Curtains fitted in the upstairs bedroom. The downstairs bedroom has very thick curtains and additional loose blackout linings. Your comments therefore leave me somewhat bewildered. I don't know if you can respond further using Sykes review system or perhaps you could email Carbis Bay Holidays with more detail, in order that we can fully understand your comments. Can I take this opportunity to reassure anyone who is thinking of booking Sea Breeze that neither of the bedrooms has a light pollution problem. Kind regards Bob owner. Property Owner

• "This was the first time we’ve been to Cornwall and this apartment did not disappoint."

  The location is perfect, there’s a bus top right outside the apartments which takes you into St Ives or you can get a train as the station is just a short walk down the hill. Carbis bay beach is about a 15 minute walk down a very steep hill so be warned the walk back is exhausting. As for the apartment, it was perfect and very large for a two bed. This has to be the best equipped place we have ever stayed in, the owners have thought of everything. I can’t fault anything about the apartment as it was perfect - incredibly clean, lots of room and beautiful views of the bay. We will definitely be back next year.

• "Gorgeous property in the stunning Carbis Bay."

  The property was nice and clean with comfy beds. Everything was provided that we needed such as washing machine, hair dryer, iron, cooking equipment… There was a lovely garden area with loungers and a sea view. You can walk to the train station (down a steep hill) or catch the bus from right outside the front door. It’s easy access to st ives which is a lovely place to visit and the carbis bay hotel is just down the road with a great spa. We really enjoyed our visit to Cornwall and the lovely accommodation made our stay. I highly recommend and will hopefully stay again.

• "We had a lovely stay at Sea Breeze."

  From the minute we walked into the apartment I knew we were on to a winner. Crispy clean bedding, fluffy towels; I could go on. Every need catered for. Housekeeping was very good. It’s in a great location, with lots to do in walking distance + train/bus links. I have certainly recommended this property to friends and one is even looking to book September :-) Would certainly come back again. Well done to all. S&D x

• "A really wonderful stay at this property."

  The location is perfect with plenty of coastal walks and a bus stop just at the top of the drive. It was also a short distance walk to Carbis Bay beach. The place was stunning, inside and out. The view of the sea in the garden wasn’t something to get tired of. Definitely stay at this place again at some point in the future.

• "Fantastic apartment, all the facilities are top quality."

  Clean, modern, well maintained, with everything I needed to make my stay a pleasure. My kids were delighted with the garden and the little garden house, and the views are mesmerising. I could not ask for anything better -and I have stayed in fantastic places. The area is fantastic, the apartment is well located, near to the beach and to the best attractions Cornwall has to offer. I am absolutely missing the place and I would go back any time, no doubt.

• "We have had a fantastic holiday."

  The flat is in a brilliant location, the sea views are outstanding and the layout of the flat is gorgeous. I have never stayed at a holiday let that is so well equipped (ironing board, iron, drying rail, knife block, hangers, etc). We had hoped to have a BBQ but it had not been cleaned, but no big deal as we just cooked in the flat and ate outside. I highly recommend - we hope to return.

• "Staying at Sea Breeze was an absolute delight, it also provided the height of luxury."

  Everything was perfect and so well thought out. The furnishings, bed, bedding were all so comfortable and of high quality. The apartment is well decorated and pictures of Cornish scenes adorned the walls. Our 14 year old son loved the second sitting room downstairs and used it as a ‘snug’. We loved the sea views, balcony and decked garden. Infact we loved it all! A perfect stay. Thank you so much.

• "Think Sykes Holidays took over Carbis Bay Holidays during our stay."

  A person from Carbis Bay holidays came to our door at the beginning of our second week, He asked me to change some paperwork in the welcome booklet. I reported to him then that the front door lock was loose, and we didn't have a code for the back gate. He said he would report the lock and call me with code. These two things didn't get addressed and I never heard from him. Apart from that, apartment was lovely and enjoyed our stay.
