• "We have been visiting Carbis Bay pretty much every year for the last 35 years and have stayed in many apartments over that time (as well as Monaowai next door to this development, when it was a hotel and not new apartments) ."

  Sea Mist is a lovely apartment with a fantastic view. It has all of the comforts of home and the cleanliness is exceptional. We were able to enjoy a lazy holiday this time without charging around to see the sights. The only thing of note, and this is the same for the majority of apartment parking so not a criticism, is that there is no provision for electric car charging. There are some 7kwh chargers at the local Tesco store which are the slower type. These generally will take around 4½ hours to charge from empty and the last thing that you want to do is spend 4½ hours at Tesco! I was able to leave the car there and walk back to the apartment and back again, but many people might feel that this is too much.

We have passed your very kind comments about the cleaning standards onto our local team, who very much appreciate this. We thank you for your observations about EV charging at Barepta Cove and we have passed these on to our management company and understand they are looking at various options for implementation at some point in the future. In the meantime, and we hope this helps should you visit again in the future, we believe that the nearby “Carbis Bay Hotel” has a charging point and may we suggest that if you are visiting St Ives, there are charging points at “Trenwith” car park. The “Shell” service station at Loggans Roundabout in nearby Hayle also offers charging, which may be helpful as it is near to the “West Cornwall Shopping Park.” Kind regards. • "“As everyone says, the view says it all!"

  This is such a gorgeous place to stay and the attention to detail is second to none. It is good to read previous comments and to see that suggestions have been acted upon. We had an amazing, relaxing week with wonderful weather. We caught the train to St Ives a few times and love how easy it is to get there, but escape back to this haven of peace and calm. Would recommend the 8.46am train (Mon-Fri) to see St Ives before it is too busy. Also recommend the West Greek Café on Porthmeor beach – lovely spot and not too expensive.” (Please note, this is a guest book feedback that does not allow for responses).

• "Excellent stay, lovely apartment and very well provided."

  Liked it so much that we have booked again in 2025. The only negative feedback is that the lounge sofa is uncomfortable (it looks very comfy) and the steps down to the rear gate (to the coast path) require maintenance and needs the lock replacing on the gate for security.

We have reported the steps to our management company to address and they have also confirmed that the garden gate is scheduled to be replaced without a digital lock for ease of use as this has caused many issues with previous guests in the past. • "The property was amazing, beautiful surroundings and equipped with everything we needed."

  We had a lovely time but the whole experience was a bit spoilt at the end. On the morning when we were leaving my husband was loading the car with the last bits at 9.55 when a lady pulled up in the car park and quite aggressively indicated she needed our parking space. My husband moved the car and the lady parked her car there. Then she came upstairs and barged in without saying a word. I was standing in the hall with a baby and had to ask her to step back so I could leave the property. She was extremely rude, we were practically kicked out and all this happened at 2 minutes past 10.

  Thank you very much for your comment following your recent holiday at Sea Mist and we are so pleased to hear you had a lovely time and that you thought the property was amazing. We are however extremely sorry to hear of your experience with the cleaner on your departure day and we apologise for this. As I am sure you appreciate it is a particularly busy time of year and the cleaning teams are enthusiastic to turn their properties around efficiently for in-coming guests but unfortunately they were a little too keen on this occasion. We have brought this to the attention of the Housekeeper that looks after Sea Mist and asked her to reiterate to her team that this was not acceptable. • "Absolute perfection with spectacular position and views."

  Very thoughtfully planned and furnished to ensure a home from home feeling. We enjoyed the peace, hearing only gulls, the train and the waves, however, St Ives was only a 20 minute walk away on a beautiful path through the trees. Sea Mist is ideally situated to explore the area by car, train, bus or on foot. We were sorry to leave and will be back. Many thanks.

• "The best apartment we have stayed in - amazing view of the whole of Carbis Bay."

  I loved waking up to see the beach from the comfort of my bed. The accommodation was well equipped including games, jigsaws and beach toys. We were able to park the car in the grounds of the apartment block and walk to the beach down the coastal path which runs at the bottom of the garden. The grounds were beautifully landscaped and communal areas were well maintained. It is a shame that since Carbis Bay Holidays joined forces with a larger company that prices have gone up by 60 per cent or more. The prices are so ridiculous that we have not booked again.

• "Main bedroom mattress is very hard."

  Only one set of towels in main bedroom. Probably an oversight, so luckily second bedroom had towels. Cleanliness throughout the apartment was very good except underneath the sofa!!

• "*** Dishwasher in Full Working Order*** The dishwasher door was not working from the day we arrived."

  Your local team advised it wouldn’t be fixed due to a part. It must have been know about before we arrived so we should have been told. The local team did call me about it but the guy didn’t seem that bothered and just said nothing they could do. So we had to wash up manually all week which I don’t expect to do on holiday!! So this did put a dampener in things. We go on holiday to relax and forget about household chores. I did ask for a goodwill gesture, but the guy didn’t think that was important and didn’t seem to be interested.
