  • "Surf & Sand is a lovely apartment with an amazingly equipped kitchen and quality furnishings throughout."

    We really appreciated having an air fryer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. Its position overlooking Carbis Bay is the highlight with the coastal footpath literally just across the road. Highly recommended and we enjoyed our week so much that we have booked to return to Surf & Sand next year.

  • "Very good location, comfortable throughout and well equipped kitchen."

    The balcony with seating & table is a real asset. The kitchen had a range of electrical appliances, and was well stocked with glasses and crockery. A few extra items would also be useful e.g. cafetiere, bottle-opener, knife-sharpener, metal baking trays (pyrex is versatile but does not roast as well). The property owner was very helpful during our stay. On our request they delivered extra linen (as we were there for a 2 weeks).

  • "The apartment is immaculate with exceptional views of the sea."

    I especially loved the sea view from the bed whilst having a cup of tea in the morning. The sofas and beds very comfortable. Kitchen/bathroom is well equipped with all the modern appliances. Loved the overall decor. The welcome gifts of wine, chocolate, biscuits and flowers and a gift of a bag were lovely. I would recommend my friends to visit. Thank you.

  • "What a fabulous apartment, loved all the extras on arrival."

    Stunning views, so clean and well equipped re living memories of when mum and dad brought us to Carbis Bay as children (60 years ago) well worthy of its 5* rating, cannot improve on perfection. Thank you for sharing your lovely home, made so many more memories. Just perfect.

  • "The facilities at the apartment are superb and the location is stunning."

    Its a shame the beach is not controlled better. Being woken up at 5-6 am each morning by dogs constantly yapping up and down the beach is not really conducive to a relaxing holiday. Also the life guards have chosen not to enforce excluding paddle boarders in the "swimmers only" section making it unsafe for children to swim on their own - I myself was hit by a paddle boarder in this supposedly safe area. This did detract from the holiday as the beach and its proximity to the apartment is the main attraction.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line. The train journey from Carbis Bay into St Ives is perhaps one of the most beautiful in the country; St Ives additionally makes for a great day out, with plenty of galleries to explore.
