  • "Superb property very clean and comfortable view over the bay is amazing well ..."

    Superb property very clean and comfortable view over the bay is amazing well placed for access to coastal path and beach, will keep this property in mind if we return to Cornwall for another holiday , only very slight issue the soaker plate in the shower does not work and the shower head kept slipping down and didn't get warm otherwise ever thing was perfect for a quiet restful break

  • "Delightful apartment with incredible sea view about 5 mins from beach."

    Very well appointed and will definitely be coming back. The only thing I’d improve is the main bed mattress was very soft (a matter of taste, I know). We stayed with our 2 teenage kids and we all loved this holiday- great surf lessons for the kids in St Ives and plenty to do locally when weather poorer.

  • "We loved the view over the bay!"

    The flat is really nice and had everything you need. We were completely satisfied and had great holidays there. Its only a short way to the beach, the train station is nearby and the coast path is running directly in front of the house. Just perfect!

  • "Such a lovely property and the view is amazing!"

    Much time spent with tea or wine watching the ever changing view as the weather was a bit changeable. The property is very well equipped with everything you could need and is very spacious and well furnished. The only complaint is not about the property itself but that the full description of the size of the garage parking is hidden at the bottom of the listing. It would be better if it could be in with the property description I missed this vital information and we arrived with a roof box and could not fit in. The top box had to be removed as by the very nature of the area there is no other parking. This did make for hard work but made up for by the view! I only found the details when looking later. Apart from this a lovely property in a beautiful area with so much to see and do.

  • "Excellent homely spacious property."

    Had everything needed for our stay. Appreciated the instruction book for appliances etc. Beautiful views. We were lucky to spot porpoise in the bay and we had our very own Kestrel display. Stunning. Good location for local eateries in walking distance and great base for exploring the area. The only down side was having to leave. Would definitely like to return.

  • "A lovely, clean and well equipped flat with the most stunning view over Carbis Bay towards St Ives."

    We were blessed with a fab week weather-wise and the electric radiators kept the evening chill off nicely. The walk to/from the bay is down/up a very steep hill, although there's is a little parking at the bottom. There's a train station a couple of minutes walk away where you can catch a train in to St Ives for £1 every half hour-ish. The same GWR train goes past the end of the garden. We rode this the 10 min ride to St Erth's & back, lovely coastal scenery. The bedrooms are comfy with a hairdryer in each room. The king-size bed fitted sheet & mattress protector aren't deep enough and kept pinging off the corners in the night, as reported in an earlier review. The quilts were a little too heavy for us, but little niggles. There's zero wifi or data signal in the double room. All other areas are fine. The sofa looks nice but isn't the most comfortable for lounging and watching the view from the huge window. However, it was a great place to stay and we'd certainly return. As described, there are steep steps down to the flat and down to the coastal path/train station, so bear in mind if mobility isn't great. Sadly, there was no visitor book for us to look through, we enjoy seeing previous holiday makers' recommendations of things to do, place to eat etc. Please consider this going forward?

  • "A wonderful appartment."

    Fantastic views in an amazing setting. Our week here has been the perfect escape to recuperate after a stay in hospital. Would have given full marks across the board if not for the low settee which we found rather uncomfortable and difficult to get back up from. The fitted bed sheets were not deep enough so tended to slip off during the night. But everything else was spot on and we can’t wait to return.

  • "Stunning views over Carbis Bay."

    It was fantastic to see dolphins and seals twice throughout our stay. The accommodation was very nice. A very well kept apartment. Only minor fault was the frying pan set which could do with update. Nice to have the train station less than 5 minutes walk down the path. Easy access to St Ives. We liked it that much we booked for next year.

  • "This apartment is placed in one of the most beautiful parts of the world and we very lucky to experience it for two weeks."

    The access to the coastal path, a train that is very inexpensive, takes you straight into St Ives and a central location to reach all the favourite locations in South West Cornwall. The apartment had a lovely feeling and was left very clean for our arrival. The living room window is the show stopper. Even on rainy days you can enjoy the beauty of the sea, local fisherman and the beach. I would 100% recommend this apartment no matter what time of year. We will be back.

Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead.
