  • "This place is truly beautiful."

We were delighted when we arrived. Flowers on the table, tea, coffee, fresh milk in the fridge and some really yummy biscuits. Plenty of lovely soap, fresh towels and nice quality bed linen on the beds. The views were absolutely stunning as the accommodation is set within a beautiful Manor Estate. The owners are lovely and came to introduce themselves. They made us feel very welcome and my daughter loved that she could speak with the lady in several languages. The heated pool was amazing and the kids made good use of this. It's not too deep and just a nice size for the younger children to play in. There were even some pool floaties provided but we had taken our own. The gardens are kept beautiful so it really is a pleasant place to relax. We stayed in Parlour Cottage which was beautiful and very comfortable. The character of the property has not been spoiled at all. Its an old cattle barn that has been very tastefully renovated. With beautiful wooden beams and a lovely wood burning stove in the living area. We didn't need to use it as the central heating was sufficient on the one day it felt a bit cool. There was a slight fusty smell to the property but I suppose this is to be expected in property of this nature and character. I would definitely stay here again. If I had to give some development points I would say the pool table in the fab games room needs replacing. Give this place a go, it's well worth it.

  • "The cottage was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed- including a good supply of hot water and fresh soap, which was much needed after our camping trip!"

Wonderfully cosy beds with crisp sheets. Our only criticism would be that the games room could do with an update. Very friendly and welcoming hosts who were kind enough to leave tea, milk, biscuits and even flowers at our arrival! Even though it was pouring with rain when we arrived we felt thoroughly refreshed and soothed, ready for the next leg of our holiday. The weather cheered the next day and we had a fabulous time. Thanks very much, and looking forward to a return one day

  • "We had a lovely stay the accommodation was spacious and comfortable."

It was a little musty and the drawers and wardrobes needed an airing. We loved how everything was thought of - pegs, really well equipt kitchen and opportunity for barbecue. The only thing that threw us was Sykes had it listed as being in Marazion but it wasn’t really. This was fine but threw us off course a little. The pool was a welcome extra for our children and they made full use of it.

  • "Lovely cottage, outdoor pool a real hit with the kids."

The games room is disappointing though - especially on a wet week! The mini snooker table is unusable (the balls roll from one end of the table to the other without being hit!) and the table tennis table has seen better days. Some investment here would make this a better destination in wet weather. In the cottage, the fridge was very small and there was ample space for a bigger fridge which would be more suitable for a family group. Attention to detail was missing on some aspects of the cleaning (e.g. cobwebs on lampshades). However, overall, this was another lovely week, despite the weather, in a great location.

  • "We really enjoyed staying at The Parlour."

It provides all the basics comfortably with a few extras ie hairdryer in the main bedroom, freezer in the pool room (box freezer with fridge in cottage). Washing up liquid and cloths were provided as well as welcoming tea and coffee, a pint of milk and some lovely flowers. There are two WiFi connections; one secure and one non-secure, signal varies within the property but is achievable. TV is smart TV so Netflix/Prime/Disney available on account. Lots of books to choose from, and we borrowed some games to play. David the manager, very welcoming and quick to provide any items we didn't have. Plenty to do locally and the pool was an absolute bonus.

It was very nice, clean and had a peaceful feel to the place. It had all the facilities one would need in a holiday cottage. David the manager there was very welcoming and helpful. The surrounding views make you feel close to nature and relaxed as soon as you drive in towards the cottage.
