  • "We had a fantastic week staying in Uncle John's House."

The house is beautiful, and Redruth is a great base for exploring the north and south coasts of the far west of Cornwall. The house felt like a family home, with many charming features that we all enjoyed. The large and light kitchen/diner extension was just a lovely place to be. All the equipment was great, the beds really comfy, the showers hot. Thank you for sharing your house.

Clive Thank you for your generous feedback about Uncle John's House. I'm delighted to hear it felt like 'home'. That's just what we hope. You're right, Redruth is the perfect place for exploring west Cornwall. We love being there too. Property Owner

Ample off-road parking will greet you, before stepping into the porch and getting to know your new home-from-home.

After a long day, there are two characterful sitting rooms to rest in, each boasting ample seating, TVs, a selection of books and woodburning stoves for those harsh winter evenings.

Move through to the kitchen/diner, where the chef of the group can impress with a hearty home-cooked feast, utilising the double oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and even the dishwasher, so washing up will be no trouble!

Just off the kitchen is the utility room with washing machine and a shower room, whilst to the other end lies a study where you can lose yourself in a good book.

As the evening ends, move upstairs and take your pick from four excellent bedrooms.

The master hosts a super-king-size double with two single beds, while there are also two king-size doubles and a twin, each presented to a wonderful standard with fresh linen and ample storage.

While away the hours with a soak in the bathroom or head to the shower room before you start the day.

Make the most of the warm summer evenings with dinner alfresco out on the patio, as you watch the sun set on another memorable day with those closest to you.

Redruth is a splendid little town, offering a well-established supermarket where you can grab the essentials, along with several cafés, restaurants and pubs for when you fancy a night away from the kitchen.

Those looking to get their steps in can embrace a charming hike through Carn Marth and discover the Carn Marth little quarry, or marvel at the superb sea views from the imposing clifftops of the National Trust owned Godrevy.

A holiday to Cornwall wouldn’t be complete without a trip to the beach; a short drive will lead you to Portreath and Porthtowan Beach, two of Cornwall’s finest North coast beaches with some excellent surfing conditions.
