  • "Nice property part from the beds being slightly soft."

We read about the neighbours being problematic but never expected to be verbally abused within 10 minutes of arriving at the location. I have a stoma which can be a struggle to lift awkward things and paying the amount we did parking to unload of the car in-front of the property was the sensible thing to do and safe for me due to the medical condition. About 5 minutes later the owners of the house at the end arrived back on bikes and just laid in to us, passive aggressive comments, snide, nasty and abusive. To the point of taking pictures of our car parked near the house we rented not blocking anyone. The second day the were difficult with our guests about parking and then difficult with another group staying at another one of the properties. I highly rate the property and location but would sadly never recommend anyone to stay as the very angry resentful neighbours will ruin it.

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave your feedback. Delighted that you highly rate the property. Agree it is in a wonderful location! Sorry to learn that you experienced some issues with parking. In the circumstance it made complete sense for you to drive down next to the property to unload as you did and we have discussed this with the neighbours. The parking area is communal, and as such if guests are blocking access to other garages and allocated parking spaces then there may be requests to move vehicles. Our neighbours are lovely people and welcome our guests, but understandably need to be reassured that their vehicle access is not blocked. In addition to Polurrian’s allocated parking (including its garage), there are two visitors parking spaces that are normally vacant. Property Owner

  • "Polurrian House is in a stunning location."

The accommodation was comfortable and the house was very well equipped. We particularly liked the Neff ovens and large american style Neff fridge/freezer. The parking situation was far better than some of the previous reviews had suggested. We parked 3 cars and there was still space in the visitor parking area. We loved the hot tub which had stunning views. We had one maintenance issue, a blocked shower drain which was quickly resolved.

  • "We had a lovely stay here - such a clean and warm home, with everything we needed supplied and a very well equipped kitchen."

A real bonus is how quiet the location is, with no passing traffic. I wouldn’t hesitate to return. The only minor downside for us is that the hot tub is placed behind shrubbery, meaning you don’t get to enjoy the wonderful view from the hot tub. Secondly one of the neighbours was quite unpleasant to me within minutes of my arrival, to complain about how I parked our car, despite following the guidance provided in the house information pack about using the space between the allocated parking and the garage. we had a wonderful holiday overall and would not hesitate to return.

Good feedback. Thank you. We will consider removing more trees over the winter. Property Owner

  • "We all had a well needed and fantastic stay in this beautiful property, peace and quiet, comfortable beds, lovely open plan kitchen, dining and lounge, great hot tub."

The garden is not entirely enclosed and would have been good to know that it's not private from adjoining neighbouring properties, our rescue dogs don't like strangers. Great base for exploring incredible parts of Cornwall.

Thank you for your positive comments. For clarity, the property has a privately owned garden, securely fenced on all sides, with panoramic views across a delightful valley heading down towards Poldhu Cove. Property Owner

  • "A lovely property, we had a great stay."

There is plenty of space and and all the facilities we needed were included. The hot tub was a bonus and very welcome after a cold windy walk! However, the beds are a little uncomfortable and could do with toppers to make them more comfortable for sleeping. It is in a remote location with very limited walks from the property and no pubs / shops nearby. Overall a great stay and a lovely house.

  • "Absolutely loved our stay at Polurrian for a week in September 23."

Lovely comfortable barn conversion with good facilities and comfy double beds with quality bed linen. The 2 single beds were not really suitable or comfortable enough for adults; fine for children I expect. Super quiet area with friendly neighbor (as long as you park correctly

Thanks for the feedback. Single bed mattresses have been upgraded. Property Owner

  • "Beautifully appointed property, comfy beds, clean crisp bedding and fluffy towels."

Trees in back garden spoils view and makes the patio too damp and with green covered algae. Hot tub was nice, garden could do with mowing, family loved the place, plenty of room, facilities were good. Some high areas could do with a cobweb clearout.

Useful feedback. Thank you. All the trees have been pollarded and trimmed. This should afford guests a spectacular view across the valley. New gardener also employed to keep grass well manicured. Property Owner

The house was perfect, very spacious, clean and comfortable. We were blessed with good weather which enabled us to discover the Lizard Peninsula. We particular enjoyed Kynance Cove and Praa sands for the early morning walks with the dog.

  • "Very nice house, and cleaned immaculately."

Lovely linens on the beds, big fluffy towels. Slept like babies. Kitchen is very well stocked , with lots of pans and pots, plates .etc Big dishwasher was a big help. Some of the doors stick but with a bit of a push they'll give. The garden and outside area is amazing. Nice outside furniture and a balcony that you can see the sea from. Hottub was lovely and toasty too. Sadly the neighbour did put a slight downer on the holiday. We had just got our bags in and he knocked in, asking us to move our cars ASAP, as it was blocking his garage. As you look at the property, it was the neighbour on the right. Also mentioned that we "shouldn't be loud in the hottub, or up late with loud music" Not Polurrian House owners fault, the property is lovely. One thing I will say is the fences in the back garden are very low. Our dog cleared them no problem. If you have an escapologist dog would advise long line. TV in living room is on a really good swivel bracket and can move to any position, and is 4k. Really glad I took my PS5 down with me. Very nice place. Would recommend.

Delighted you enjoyed your stay. Have adjusted a couple of doors that were sticking. Thanks for letting us know. Property Owner

  • "Had a lovely week at Polurrian House with family last week, the facilities were great and the location is stunning."

So many local, beautiful beaches, walks and places to visit. You can watch the cows at the local farm from the balcony coming out in the morning and coming back to bed late afternoon which is nice. The house is on a sort of little complex with 3/4 other houses either occupied by their individual owners or by other people on holiday. The house has 3 good sized rooms with ensuites, and 1 with no ensuite but is next door to a bathroom. The house is stated as having a secure garden for dogs, and it is fully fenced, however, if you have a dog smaller than a small beagle size there is a possibility they will get through one side of the fence into the next doors garden. You have access to 3 car spaces (number 3, the garage behind it and the space between them). The description stated 2 spaces when we booked, but in the documentation the house has inside it mentions these 3 spaces. The house in general was spotless, cleaned to a very high standard and lovely welcome gifts provided when we arrived. A few things to note for the servicing team/owner that if we don't mention you may not know about, is that the bedroom door downstairs to the room without an ensuite, once you shut that door, you will struggle to get out of it without an almighty tug. It needs shaving slightly to fit well. Also the same for the downstairs bedroom with single beds, the ensuite door does not shut at all for the same reason. We couldn't find a light switch that worked either the front or back garden lights, so using the hot tub after dark was a bit hard, probably just the bulbs needing changing. Other than those easy fixes, a great holiday home, highly recommended

Great feedback. Thank you for your improvement suggestions: Outside light controls now fully accessible and stock fencing installed around the garden. Property Owner

Lots of wonderful beaches. Only one tiny problem. Pillows on beds were foam. Much prefer feather pillows. Really impacted my sleep.

Very many thanks for your comments. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Feather pillows in addition to the foam pillows will be added shortly. Hope you visit again Property Owner
