  Crantock is a fantastic base for a holiday. The house was warm and comfortable. It is ideal for dog owners as the downstairs bedroom has its own separate back door, so you can let the dogs out in the night without disturbing the rest of the house.

• "The property is fantastic."

  We did have a problem manoeuvring our long base Merc in and out of the driveway due to the narrow road and grass bank on the opposite side. Would have been easier if the entrance was made wider but would definitely stay again.

• "We loved the house."

  It was very clean and spacious . All the bedrooms were a decent size. The beds were comfortable and everyone slept well. The kitchen was well equipped with the bonus of the utility room. There was plenty of comfortable seating in the lounge for all of us. The garden was great for the dogs. Unfortunately we did not make use of the garden furniture as much as we would have liked due to the weather. The location of the house is perfect with the shop and the pub 5 mins walk and beach about 10 mins. Great walking from the house on lovely footpaths. Would highly recommend Crantock and Trevose House.

• "Wonderful week in this lovely property."

  Super house with everything you need. Very clean with fabulous comfy beds, and beautifully decorated bedrooms. The house and enclosed garden was perfect for us all, we were a party of mum and dad 3 young children and grandparents. Great communication with the owner and a lovely welcome gift on arrival. The village itself is really pretty and the beach just stunning with a couple of good pubs serving great food all within walking distance of the house. Would definitely book this house again when coming back this way for holiday.

• "This was our second stay at Trevose House and we loved it."

  It is so spacious and comfortable, and has absolutely everything you could need for a relaxing holiday. We especially enjoyed the big kitchen with island, great for family gatherings, the gorgeous sun-trap garden (completely dog safe) and the huge comfy beds. The location is also brilliant with the beach such a short walk away. Thank you for such a great stay.

• "We had a fabulous week in this lovely property."

  Really comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. It’s in a great location for the beach, coastal walks, restaurants and pubs, meaning we hardly had to use the car. We loved the outdoor shower for hosing down the dogs after a trip to the beach. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back.

• "Our second year at Trevose house did not disappoint."

  The house is very comfortable and spacious. Cleanliness was to a high standard which was very important with a newborn joining us this time. We also appreciated the welcoming gift left for us. The house is in an ideal location for the beach which our two spaniels loved and the outdoor shower ensured they were clean before going back into the house. A lovely place to spend family time together. We hope to return next year!

• "We enjoyed a fantastic week."

  We received a message from the owner to let us know the property was ready early and upon arrival there was a complimentary drink waiting in the fridge which was a nice touch. The house itself was large and lovely. There was was an abundance of space for the 6 adults in our group and it has ample room to accommodate 8 adults comfortably. The accommodation was clean light and bright. It was equipped with everything we needed for our stay and was very warm. The driveway was big enough for our 3 cars. The location was ideal. Easy walking distance to the village pubs and the beach. Finally also have to say level of customer service from the owner Nick was excellent. He went above and beyond expectations.

  Crantock is a lovely village, close to the beach with lovely walks. The house had everything we needed & was very comfortable, our 2 small dogs felt very at home there & we would definitely stay there again.

• "We had a very nice comfortable stay at Trevose."

  The beds are all super Kingsize and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and cooking equipment which was a great help as we mainly made meals in. The garage was a welcome addition with plenty of space for storing our boards and wet suits. There is also 2 additional fridge freezers in here. The lounge is large and comfortable. I agree with other listings the driveway is a little tight but we did manage to park 3 cars in it. The exit and entry is the main issue due to the width of road. Overall we had a great stay and have booked again for next year.

  The property is spacious with lovely decor we all agreed the bed were so comfortable. The welcome pack was much appreciated thank you. The location of the property was perfect for the beach ,less than 10 mins away walking distance. We have stayed many times in Crantock and we all agree Trovose house is one of our favourites. I would like to say a massive thank you to Sarah the house keeper who was very helpful on arrival and had laid out a wonderful selection of toys for our grandchildren to play with. • "This is a lovely house in a great location with all the amenities you could wish for."

  The bedrooms and beds are large, amazingly comfortable, and very clean. Great kitchen, dining room, and large living room. Great for all children, no matter what age if the weather means you stay in doors for a bit. Lovely bathrooms and again very clean. Crantock itself is a lovely village with a great pizza restaurant/cafe in the day, two good pubs, and a great beach all 5 - 10 minutes walk from the house.

  To improve Trevose House - A couple of small shelves in upstairs onsuite bathroom would be handy, widen the drive entrance/exit for safety and moving cars around, Comfortable sofa's in lounge and maybe a more substantial arm chair for elderly residents.

• "Had an issue with the en suite shower up stairs leaking through the ceiling in the kitchen which was quickly attended to by Nick the owner and his plumber."

  Nick was extremely apologetic and even bought us a box of chocolates and a bottle of wine . Trevose is a lovely house with spacious bedrooms and a fantastic jacuzzi bath in the main bathroom.However we did find that Trevose would benefit from a third shower as 2 showers between 4 couples was busy at times .Kitchen was fully equipped and located well for easy access to the garden sitting area and bbq.. Settees weren’t to everyone’s liking as very low and deep but this wouldn’t put us off stopping here again . Brilliantly located for Crantock Village and beaches. As l write this review l am luckily enough to be again sitting in the garden at Trevose for our second visit of the year.

  Enjoyed it even more this year, the property is very well maintained inside and outside, extremely clean and very comfortable. It is incredibly well equipped, especially the kitchen and also has good quality linen and towels in the well appointed bedrooms. Crantock is a beautiful village with great amenities and ideally situated to visit so many beautiful places in this wonderfully scenic county.

• "Well equipped, good base for walks."

  Very spacious. Nice secure garden for dogs. Really comfy beds. Really appteciated the arrival gifts of cider, beer, bottle of prosecco, milk and scones with jam and cream. The kitchen cupboards could be tidier, there are lots of random things in cupboards. If the space was organised better there would be more space to store food. The freezer in the utility room is faulty. A note stating there is a freezer in the garage, would have been useful. We had 2 dogs with us that never went up the stairs, but even so, upon arrival, the stairs and landing carpet and the lounge rug were covered in dog hair. The downstairs ensuite shower does not get warm. We ran the water for over 3 minutes whilst changing all of the dials but still no warm/hot water.

We are a dog friendly house and on this occasion it looks like not all the hairs from the previous stay were hoovered up apologies for this. • "We have just returned from a wonderful stay at Trevose House in Crantock."

  Thank you Nick. The house is perfect just like home from home with everything you could possibly need during your stay. The house is extremely spacious and ideal for a large family or sharing with another family. Room sizes were great with no one feeling left out! Lovely garden to relax in and is safe for your four legged friends. The location is perfect. Walking distance to crantock beach 10/15 minutes which is fantastic as it means no queuing to get in the very busy car park. The beach is absolutely stunning and huge with great surfing facilities, public toilets and dogs are allowed too. Crantock caters for all food options and all again within 10-20 walk. The furthest away being Bowgie Inn and C-Bar and Bistro which my parent in their late 70’s were still able to manage. All in all a fabulous week and I look forward to returning again soon. My only niggle and it certainly isn’t a complaint, is the drive can be challenging, if you have two large cars as the turning into the house is tight. I’d advise to always reverse on, as vision is limited leaving the property. Communication before arriving was spot on with the owner contacting you to check on room configuration etc.

• "Trevose House was without doubt the best holiday cottage we have ever stayed in."

  Everything was so beautifully decorated, it was a really luxurious and comfortable place to stay. The house was spotlessly clean and the owners had thought of every last detail, from soap, washing up liquid and other kitchen essentials being provided to a welcome pack including Prosecco, scones and clotted cream. We were holidaying with our dog and the house was very well set up for him as well, with a truly enclosed garden, very safe, which he enjoyed exploring. We had a brilliant week, the position of the house is great with very easy access to the beach and beautiful coastline. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

• "We enjoyed our stay."

  The main problem was the ground floor bedroom shower. My wife was unable to use the shower and I found it difficult. There was no hand rail and the shower head and soap shelf was almost out of reach. We are both getting on in years and not so agile, we selected this property because of the access to this bedroom. Just fitting a hand rail would make all the difference and lowering extending the shower head rail would also help.
