Teresa and Paul (hosts) are lovely, friendly people who made us feel very welcome. Trevore Farmhouse is spacious, spotlessly clean and felt 'homely'. The hot tub is, probably, the best we have ever experienced. The roof-top terrace is lovely on a warm afternoon / evening. The location is superb for exploring Cornwall, being pretty central for both North and South coasts. We highly recommend this property. Thank you Teresa and Paul xx Sue & Richard (Gloucestershire)

The house is clean, comfortable and spacious and the hot tub is great. The location is excellent and easy to get anywhere in Cornwall. This is one of the nicest places we’ve stayed in many years of visiting Cornwall and we can thoroughly recommend it.

It was amazing for our fur baby as completely enclosed and safe for him to run round. The hot tub was great and well used. Spotlessly clean xx Location wise not far from any area ( car is a must have). My only disappointment was that we couldn’t walk out anywhere as the roads were busy with no footpaths.

Comfortable bedrooms and perfect living with smart tv and terrace with beautiful views. Extremely friendly and welcoming owners fresh scones with jam and clotted cream left out for when we arrived, a great hot tub which is maintained daily by the owners. We have stayed in many dog friendly holiday homes but this is the only one that truly was with dog bowls, tennis balls, a pot of treats and dog towels left out. Great location also with many places close by Truro only 10 minutes away and many lovely beaches such as Perranporth, Portreath, Porthowan all within 10/15 minutes. Couldn’t recommend this property enough especially for families or couples with dogs. Thank you for a great stay we will definitely be back :-)

Teresa and Paul are such lovely owners and keep your privacy second to none. We have stayed in November last year and September this year and with comparison I must say that both stays have been amazing, log fire in the winter and made use of the outside decking “up top” this year. Cleanliness is top notch and must say that the garden is very secure for pooches and little ones. The welcome pack was very much appreciated after a long journey. Comfy beds, plenty of room for us and all equipped for all our needs. The hot tub is a definite added bonus whatever the time of year after days out. A great central location for adventures in beautiful Cornwall. See you again next year!!! Our long journey from Kent was worth it!!! Thank you very much for making our week away so lovely.

Helps to have the owners living on the farm behind it and Teresa is very welcoming and attentive to guest needs, but not intrusive. The property is well secluded by tall hedges all round so you’re not overlooked and you have all the privacy you want. It’s very quiet and especially in the evening, when all you hear is water trickling in the secured / covered carp pond. The location is ideal to move around from and explore, as well as star gazing on a clear night. The hot tub is an added bonus for some relaxation and well kept. The house is not too far from anything really. I will definitely be staying again with my Family.

The Cornish village of Chacewater is situated just five miles from Truro, between Truro and Redruth in Cornwall. The village lies in the centre of what once was a great mining district, producing more copper and tin than anywhere else in the world. The village and sandy beach of Portreath are a short drive away and from Chacewater, both the north and south coastlines of Cornwall can be explored, with their unspoilt beaches and rugged coastal walking trails stretching for miles, ideal for walkers, bathers and surfers. Truro is Cornwall’s only city and has a magnificent cathedral, the Royal Cornwall Museum and the theatre and concert venue, the Hall for Cornwall, as well as a number of shops, pubs and restaurants. In Falmouth you will find the third largest natural harbour in the world, where you can take boat trips up the Carrick Roads, safe beaches, the National Maritime Museum and Pendennis Castle, which was built by Henry VIII and is the town’s most popular attraction. Fans of classic cars will enjoy a visit to Perranwell Station where you can hire a Morgan car for the day. Nearby, in the Bissoe Valley, is Bissoe Bike Hire. Hire a bike for the day and enjoy the sights of the old mining works and beautiful wooded valleys as you cycle coast to coast from Portreath to Devoran, or just enjoy a snack in the café. Visit The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the National Trust owned Trelissick and Glendurgan Gardens, as well as the 26-acre sub-tropical garden of Trebah and the Eden Project, all of which can be reached easily in the car. A short trip on the King Harry Ferry will take you to the beautiful Roseland Peninsula, which is well worth a visit. Chacewater is the perfect Cornish holiday base, with something to please everyone within easy driving distance.
